We have had a great experience every time we have set foot inside The Puppy Place in Anderson, SC. At times we have went in merely to just be able to pet puppies, and the entire staff and owners have always been friendly, welcoming, as well as constantly cleaning around the puppies. In addition to just browsing, we have also personally gotten two puppies at different times from here and they are wonderful! They are healthy and very social, and they are a year old now! I know a few other people, personally, that have also gotten happy and healthy puppies from here.

Had a great experience here, even tho I was wary of buying a puppy from a shop. They were able to provide the reputable breeders info & the puppy was in perfect health & came vaccinated & dewormed. Store front was clean, staff was friendly & informative, but very busy on a Sat. Very happy with our chocolate mini dachshund, Moose 💕

This place is amazing we bought our now 5 month old Corgi from here. No problems with registration or vet appointments. The place is very clean and if a puppy pees there’s always an employee right behind it cleaning it up. Perfect puppies for the holidays. They have amazing staff and easy financing to get the perfect puppie for your home! Thank you puppie place staff for the best corgi I could ever ask for!!! ❤️❤️

I went into the store a couple of times and fell in love with a little girl. The owner and employees love each animal and take very good care of them as well as communicating any and all information needed concerning your new puppy. I highly recommend the puppy place and your guaranteed a healthy puppy without any unknown issues. Miss Adeline approves.

This was just great!! Got to play with various puppy breeds! If you want to experience one first, this is definitely the place. Or if you just want to love on some cute puppies, they are ready for some 💘

This place is disgusting! They just let anyone in and just yank a puppy up. Too many people too much stimulation, too many “designer breeds”. No one watching what people do to the puppies. No dog parents on sight. When questioned vague answers. I want to know the veterinarian that supports this so I can keep away from them as well.

I came here to share my wonderful experience of The Puppy Place and was shocked to see the number of people leaving one-star reviews. My experience was nothing but pleasant! The puppies are well cared for, happy, and not in cages. You get to see a variety of puppies playing and happy as well as spend time with all of them to find that perfect fit. The staff is extremely kind and helpful.If you take the time to review the negative reviews, you can see that most are the adopt don't shop people who have more than likely never even visited the store. There are many reasons that someone wants or needs to get a specific breed of dog, and getting something from a shelter that may or may not have behavioral issues is not a good fit for them.If you are looking to adopt a puppy for your family, I recommend visiting The Puppy Place and deciding for yourself if it is the right place for you.

Great place to go if you are looking for a new furry friend! These dogs are all high quality and healthy. Unlike other places these dogs do not come from puppy mills but instead are carefully chosen from local breeders. They are all kept in a very clean environment and always provided with fresh food and water. The owners and employees are informative and are very knowledgeable about each breed and helpful in choosing which is right for you! They always have a nice variety of different breeds and I would totally recommend The Puppy Place to anyone looking to buy a puppy!

I LOVE this place! I am a licensed breeder with the Department of Agriculture and happily sell my puppies to The Puppy Place. I love The Puppy Place because people can come in and see the puppies in person before making a decision. The owners do a wonderful job with cleaning and care of the puppies. They work very close with their veterinarian and are very specific on what I must provide before they purchase my puppies.

The Puppy Place is literally the Hearth and Hand of pet shops. Not only is it immaculate, pleasant, and filled with wonderful staff, the puppies are so clearly taken care of and have their every need met. I know there are naysayers out there who will complain about any pet store, but I think the conditions of the Puppy Place and their evident heart for helping all sorts of animals (they regularly help find homes for strays!) make them the perfect place to start and finish your hunt for the perfect furry friend.

Bought two cavapoos from Puppy Place that are beautiful puppies, and we love them. They both had respiratory infections that spread to our other dogs. Lots of veterinary visits and antibiotics trying to pull our fur family through this. Maybe hundreds of people passing puppies around in a small place isn’t a good idea. They don’t answer their phone. Try calling them.

This is not your regular pet store. This place is clean, tastefully decorated and lots of beautiful, well taken care of puppies! The Puppy Place helps to get puppies and pet families together. Potential pet owners can look at different types of puppies and get info from the knowledgable staff, and make sure they get the right match for their family. I highly recommend this store to anyone seeking to add a new puppy to their home.

We love this place and recommend them to anyone. I have read several reviews and wish to give a review on my actual experience at this business. First, all of the puppies were clean and look healthy to me. Anytime a puppy had an accident, a store employee was quick to clean it up, including mopping. Everyone working at the business was very polite and helpful. Never did anyone push a dog or try to push us to buy a dog. We did pick a little guy from here, and he has been the best puppy. We love that we could walk in, play with anything, and leave if we wished without feeling pressured to buy. There was always someone nearby to answer questions, and they were very nice. I truly believe that these people care about the puppies they sale.

Drive this place out of business. The number of unaware people buying their first puppy for themselves or their children is frightening, and these con artists are completely aware of the health and behavior problems they're selling them. Not to mention to horror of the environments the puppies come from. If you're considering a puppy for the holidays please adopt or rescue, and if you're set on a breed find a responsible and reputable breeder. Any business or individual who cannot produce paperwork or background on parentage is the lowest of the low because they are completely aware of the humanity they lack and the cruelty they are perpetuating.

Would give one star if I could. Nothing but a puppy mill with falsified doctor records. I don’t know how your pups see a vet that specializes in large animal and somehow they conveniently forgets to write the date they were seen every time. Once or twice maybe but incomplete legal paperwork on the regular sounds a little fishy. Owners have been seen peddling the dogs at the flea market and shoving all the sick ones into a cage in the back and leaving them there(allegedly on the cage, stated by former employee.) How this place is in business or the how the owners sleep at night. I don’t know.

The Puppy Place truly believes in the health and wellbeing of puppies. Not only do they do their best to help people find their forever furbaby, they also help Anderson County with their homeless puppies. Most recently they took in four neglected puppies, quarantined them, vetted, microchipped and when ready, will be making them available for adoption. Bravo! Great to see an organization dedicated to animals.

This terrible place that just recently sold a puppy with parvovirus (he died) posted pictures on their page today of people coming in, and they were bragging about the number of people in there touching puppies that are not isolated. People go from open bin to open bin touching young, vulnerable puppies, when not only parvo and other diseases are a danger, but the recently discovered disease, Canine Infectious Respiratory Virus, is spreading rapidly, and veterinarians are advising people not to board their dogs and not to take them to dog parks, daycares or grooming shops. That tells me exactly how much The Puppy Place cares about puppies: not at all.

I went in with my daughter to look at puppies. We saw a Pomeranian puppy and he was “half off” because he was 5 months old. I asked the lady there if he had papers. At $900, and 5 months old, he should definitely come with them. The lady confirmed that he was CKC registered and that all I had to do was send off the papers. A few days later when we went to the vets office to make sure his shots were up to date we found out that he was NOT registered at all. I have to send in a “PAW registration” and I can’t even do that until he’s a year old…AND it’s very possible that it won’t be approved either. Not only did you blatantly lie, I inadvertently lied to my husband because I didn’t know. Makes you wonder what else they lie about to so you’ll buy a puppy at a ridiculous price.

i work with dogs and have seen a lot of backlash about this place so i came in for myself to see what was up, the place smells like straight bleach yet there was pee in the kennels that wasn’t getting cleaned, people were going back and forth touching dogs then going and picking up others without washing there hands, tried to talk with the owners to see if these were well bred dogs and not just puppy mill dogs and they are definitely back yard breeders the dude wouldn’t even really talk to me was definitely sketchy. a reputable breeder would never breed all these random breeds and then stick them all in a room together for people to just touch all over them and make all of them sick. im sure most of these pups have hookworms and parvo. if you want a pure bred dog go to a real reputable breeder with real health testings and papers on parents and proof of vet visits and vaccines and not just when the pups were first born.

With all the dogs sitting at our local shelters which are at full capacity, we don’t need to be selling puppies to people who will more than likely abandon these dogs when they get bigger and older. You can visit the local animal shelter and bring home a dog/pup who is mentally deteriorating in there and give them a home. We love our rescue. adopt, don’t shop.

It’s really reprehensible to market purchasing puppy milled puppies as “adoptions”. These dogs have zero parental health screenings, behavioral testing, and are receiving the bare minimum medical clearance for sale. There is absolutely no reason to support a business like this in 2023. We know better and should do better.

Awesome place to go meet your new best friend. Always very clean and smells nice. The staff are great and very knowledgeable! They take the time to answer any questions and try to help you find the best possible match for you and your family. Growing up I always wished there was a puppy store to go view puppies and meet a new buddy, well now all the kids dreams have came true! Come meet your new best friend to take home forever or just snuggle puppies, either way you’ll have a great time!

If I could leave a 0 star I would. Let me first say that this place puts off a very good game, they will fool you in a heartbeat. We recently adopted a puppy from them. Looked over all the paperwork everything. When I asked the manager why the date was not on the veterinary clean bill of health she stated "o the Dr must of forgot". I at the time didn't think nothing of it. We brought the puppy home and within 3 days we had a totally different puppy. After taking him to the vet we sadly found out that he had Parvo and in fact was SOLD to us while he was infected, he just wasn't showing symptoms. After my vet looking over the documents from the puppy place we found out that the puppy place falsified documents. The "Clean bill of health" was actually from when he was just born, not a RECENT visit. And the shot records were fake. My vet did not recognize the stickers they used for the shots and the stickers were not on a VET paper but their own. Their "records" stated that my puppy was given the parvo shot on 9/17 IF this was the case, my puppy would not have gone through what he did. After contacting the puppy place and telling them about the parvo they DID NOT shut down and mass test all their puppy's but instead CONTINUED to sell puppy's that were in direct contact with mine. This place needs their doors closed and the owners held accountable for their actions...this is not a money quick scheme but pleoples lives and homes you are messing with. We lost a very loving friendly dog due to THEIR negligence! What my family has been through the past week is something I would never wish on anyone!

We Adopted a collie pup 9/30/23 had to take her to the emergency vet hospital. kennel cough, upper respiratory infection and a UTI . Over $500 vet bill. Vet said the shot records they gave us was probably fake cause its just stickers not from a vet so we had to give all new shots. No I didn't contact the puppy place to let them know they probably don't care and it's not about the money we paid out to get her well cause if it was it makes me no better than them. My vet and the emergency vet said never buy from something like them as they probably get puppies from a puppy mill. So just a heads up if you go there a high chance you will end up like we did. And no I don't want a dime back and yes I can provide proof. The puppy place Just keep your animal's well and make sure they are not sick...
