I wasn’t going to be this person, but…. After I had to call the store telling them that the gallon of tea we ordered was SOURED, no date on the gallon to even see when it was stored. She handled it professionally, of course we could drive all the way back over there or they could write our name down. But then, open our salads, I have a whole slice of ham, not cut up. And a formula sauce half way filled. We haven’t had Groucho’s in months because the last experience was almost the same way. Hate to say that we probably won’t be back.April 5 2024 5:45pm$37 later…..

Sorry, this was my first and last visit. Ordered corned beef, with Swiss cheese, on pumpernickel. Bread was very dry and slices were too thick. Attempts to pick up the sandwich resulted in it falling apart. The Swiss cheese was soft and without holes which was unexpected. I spoke with one of the staff thinking I had gotten American cheese by mistake because that's what it looked and tasted like but was informed this was their version of Swiss cheese.I then used the bathroom and was very disapppointed with the very dirty room. (There are two unisex bathrooms and I only used the first one so cannot speak to the cleanliness of the second.) The floor was exceptionally dirty with pieces of paper all over as well as not looking like it had been mopped in days/weeks? The floor around the toilet was also extremely dirty. It did not appear that anyone has cleaned the bottom of the toilet in quite some time. I will not go into anymore detail about it's condition, you can use your imagination.The deli seemed to do a brisk takeout business so perhaps many customers have their favorite sandwiches and they get them to go.Parking: This deli is located in a strip mall with lots of free parking.

I got a to go order... Didn't know you have to tip. I don't like being nickel and dimed everywhere I go,. Please just include price of tip in your menu prices and leave me alone. I only got a sandwich, no drink, and it was about $12. Ridiculous. I wish I had the option of not getting chips, you have no choice in what potato chips you want its just one flavor... plain. If I had paid around $6 I'd say it was fair, but for $12 I won't be back.

I'm not sure why this happens to my orders, if its the Doordarsh app that doesn't translate well to the restaurant or its the restaurant itself but this is the second time i order from grouchos for delivery and the orders are always messed up (this experience reminded my why i stopped ordering delivery from them in the first place). I ordered the turkey *Turkey Sandwich which specifies comes with bread, turkey, lettuce and tomato on the item description. I added the mayo on it. on the app it gives me the option to remove the lettuce and tomato, but not to keep it, it does say I can add extra of it which I didn't want extra I just wanted what comes with the *Turkey Sandwich itself so I assumed all that is on the description would be added on to it. I'm not sure how to order from this place anymore. now I wanna specify, I like GOING to the restaurant and would go if it wasn't for the fact that i am sick as a dog right now, but their delivery sucks the big one! I literally just got bread, mayo and turkey... and because I'm ill is not like I can go over there and have them fix it or something. needless to say, disappointed and kinda mad..UPDATE:firstly I want to thank the owner Liz Adams for the quick response in this whole issue and her genuine apology with this issue. It's not a huge issue but it's one that I still appreciate the looking into and steps needed to fix things for the future. Given the situation its not like I can go into the store and have the order amended but she was so nice and offered compensation for the inconvenience which I'm very thankful for because we do like the restaurant, the issue is mainly with the way delivery orders are read which she has made sure will improve for the future to prevent further misunderstanding. I'm adding two extra stars because of this - personally, I love food so good food is important to me but also customer care speaks volumes of a location and I do feel heard and appreciated and the apology goes a long ways.

Placed an order for take-out (a B.L.T) and it was not good. I asked for wheat bread and got white. I asked to it toasted and it was not. I asked for mayo and did not get any. It came with 4 straps of bacon, 1 slice of tomato and no lettuce. Sandwich looked as if it was just tossed in the box and not assembled. This is the second bad experience with Grouchos and I doubt I will return.

Terrible food, terrible service. Walked in a couple days ago for a salad and sandwich had to clean my own table while being watched do so. The floors look unclean. Workers are rude and lazy. So many health violations, the sand which maker not once changed gloves even after touching all of his surroundings, he touched the large metal door to which I assume is the freezer and then came and touched all over my food. They have roaches as well I saw two crawling on the wall/floors as I was dining. If I could give no stars I would, I will not be back. Not to mention when I walked in everyone was to busy on there phone. Terrible business with rude unmotivated employees.

Haven’t eaten here in years and this visit confirmed why. Absolutely awful. My sandwich had a pathetic excuse for cheese. So overheated it disappeared. The bread was far from fresh and simply crumbled when picked up. Our 2 brownies were left off our order. There was no flatware on our take out order and the “ slaw” was so bad I can’t believe they actually sell it. It was a gross watery mustardy slop. It was truly pourable. And it was also left off the order. Zero apology when we complained after going back in twice.

Great place to grab a quick bite. After not having it for a while I stopped by before visiting my grandma in the hospital and it was just as good as I remembered. You can’t go wrong with the BLC Chicken Critter or Mama’s Salad Bowl and don’t get me started on the 45 sauce 🤤 excuse my squeezed pickle, I like the juice in my chips. 😅

I recently moved to the area, and Groucho's Deli was recommended by several people. I got the STP Dipper with All Roast Beef, and it was very good. I hope to come back soon 😊

I had a Reuben with potato salad. Bread from Asheville bakery (Annie's baking) was good. The meat had good flavor and texture. Sauerkraut had nice flavor without being over powering. The Russian dressing tasted as if came straight from thousand island dressing bottle. Potato salad was different but not bad. The employees were attentive, polite, freindly and fast.

Great place to grab lunch. The sweet tea is justttt right and the sandwich choices are great. Never had any order issues or service issues. They even have gluten free bread for those who can't indulge in wheat products.

As always, excellent food and service. Table service is available, as is takeout from the counter. I had the Apollo Dipper (I think that's what it was called). All their sandwiches come with chips and a pickle, as well as a sauce. Sandwich is served hot, the sauce is almost always cold. Staff is friendly and attentive. Food is cooked well and tastes great.

First of all, I had no idea this place was here in Aiken. It’s tucked away in a not so high, traffic area. You can’t tell though as it seems to have a good crowd. Honestly a tribute to their performance. The local employees and students in the surrounding area have really kept this place a secret and I can see why. The floor lay out is nice and comfortable. Not overly crowded like most sub shops/delis. It appears clean and uniquely decorated. The menu has very new tastes as well. It’s definitely a place I will come back to and share this hidden gem

My wife salad is literally a bacon salad! It's kind of hard to enjoy it if every single bite is laced with all bacon and a piece of salad(nothing but salt). I literally have a plate of bacon left over. There should be a proper portion, not 2 hand fulls of bacon and 1/2 of lettuce. Give customers half of the bacon or, or nothing just please adjust the ratio.

Was disappointed this time. Ordered the chicken critter. The chicken was cold, the cheese not melted, and the entire sandwich was thrown together in a sloppy manner. The server was friendly and helpful but the prep person looked like he could care less.

Food has always been good. However, be sure to check your order before you leave. I’ve placed two separate salad orders online for pickup in the last four days and they incorrectly filled the order both times. The first time they gave me a chicken wrap instead of a salad. The second time they apparently did not see the words “NO Cheese Please”.

Needed a lunch stopThat would t break the bank, be somewhat fast and made to order sandwich. So this was the right stop. I had the club sandwich. If I had a complaint it would be that the bacon needed to be crispier. But I know I am picky about how my bacon is cooked. Service was friendly and bathroom clean.
