I'm updating my rating of Food Lion from three stars to four stars. I've been shopping there more often in the past year and I realize that there are some items that I only purchase there instead of Publix where I do the majority of my shopping.Food Lion has the best prices for frozen pizza, coffee pods, ice cream, and a few other essentials. And I really like their own brand large thin crust frozen pizza. And of particular importance, they have great gourmet chocolate chunk cookies!

Well truth be told is very convenient but they're pricing is getting exorbitant. I will give you a hint though. They have some of the lowest ice cream prices in town. I know that sounds crazy but I love ice cream! The only thing I would recommend is the cashier smile a bit. It'll make your day go faster!

I visited this store yesterday, 1/9/23. Upon checkout, I encountered the best cashier that I have ever came into contact with in my 34 years of living. He was SO kind, joyful, and "happy to be working, living, and breathing". Mind you, this wonderful young man seemed to be a teenager still in school, and that's not what I normally expect from young employees anywhere. I asked to speak with his boss, but he had already left for the day. His joyful, professional demeanor made such an impact on me that I called the store this morning and also called the 1800 number to make sure they know what a gem they have working for them. This young man's name is Kobe and I know he will do great things in life. Praise God for such wonderful people still existing to brighten up our days! I hope his Mother knows that she did a wonderful job raising him!!!Also, the store was clean and well kept. It was amply staffed with multiple registers open and no long wait. This store gave me the vibe of an old school small town store. Very well done.

Came here yesterday for the first time in years and now I remember why ! Expired product . Then when I came in with my receipt and picture the literal next morning I was told I need to go back home get the item and bring it in which cost more then the actual item itself! The clerk was rude after discussing this and me showing her where the whole cooler had the same product STILL EXPIRED!

I will travel the extra miles to go grocery shopping at foodlion. The people are super nice and helpful. I have even seen them give the customers flowetes that were pulled instead of throwing them in the dumpster. That meant a lot to me. The store is always stocked well and very clean.

Now in my opinion this Food Lion is second best in Aiken only behind Publix, with Kroger a distant 3rd place.

This food lions has resently remodeled and repaved their parking lot, so you have a clean and comfortable shopping experience. I like that they always have multiple cash registers open and if the lines are long they often open another. It offers a good level of selection, but you don't have as many choices as a bigger store. The prices are right in the middle of the bargain and high end grocery stores. Overall it's a great place to stop to quickly pickup your basic necessities.

I enjoy shopping here. The produce is always fresh. Lots of food options. It’s so much cleaner and the staff doesn’t act like your bothering them if you ask a question. Good weekly specials.So glad to have an option to the not so customer friendly box stores.

Every time I come I get everything I need at a great price, checked out by friendly wonderful people. This store has great products. Check out the Christmas 🌲. Clean always. Patrons are very nice too!

There’s a guy in frozen with a blonde bowl cut that huffed and puffed because I was looking through the freezer. I was obviously in his way while he was stocking. He was loud and rude enough for me to put everything back and walk out because I will go out of my way to a different store before I deal with racist people.

I hope the manager pulls the short dark skinned girl with the French braids to the side to talk to her about how she talks to certain types of customers. If she would have been by the register when I was checking out I would have dealt with the issue myself. Minus the small incident I had this is still a good place to shop, they had some of the freshest fruits and vegetables I have seen in awhile.

A very big improvement over the way it used to be. Aisles are neat and clear. Product fronted nicely and a brighter atmosphere. It used to be a little drab. Best of all they have CASHIERS!!!

The cashiers are extremely nice. Just please stop moving things around everytime you get a new manager. Us older people get use to were things are. When you move them around it's harder for us to find them. Our bones and bodies can't take much. Please stop moving things around.

I just like food lion, I mean they have great fruits and vegetables as well. They are just a good low key grocery store to visit when you don't want to be bothered with Wal-Mart and their lazy employees. I never have a problem with shortages on cashiers here to check out and that is priceless. 😊

Great deals. I go here for certain items i cant find at my regular go to grovery stores. Would go here any day over walmart. Smaller store less looking around and way better customer service.

Young lady at the register "Angel" was extremely rude and far from an angel. She was disgusted acting because I walked up as she was trying to leave the register or do something else. It was very obvious she does not like her job. Or, if this is her demeanor, she does not need to be in this role. I've never been treated so poorly by a store associate. Certainly doesn't make me want to come back. Many other stores close by that will actually treat you like a human. Dismal customer service to one who spends hundreds of dollars per week on groceries. Local favorite grocery store falling to "todays" ways. Sad

Every morning I got there I get the same cashier and she is very rude. She ignores me almost completely every time I come in and I feel its because I use ebt. This particular morning she even said loudly "Using Ebt?" And rolled her eyes. Then placed all of my items in a paper bag and said nothing else. After I moved out of the line the next customer came up and she was super nice and animated with him. I could hear her explaining to him that paper bags were all the had, an explanation I never get. Feels at this point very personal.

Prices are comparable, for the area. They are even better if you shop the sales. But, the cashiers are polarizing. Some are very warm. A few even stand at the end of their lane and welcome you, when they are free of customers. But, many of the cashiers are rude and seem put out by your presence. I encourage management to look into customer satisfaction in this area.
