NEVER ORDER ONLINE!! (April 2)I purchased a kitchen sink cabinet, a draw cabinet and a counter top online. Got my draw cabinet the next day because it was in store. The sink cabinet and counter was supposed to arrive together the following week( on the 12th) this was pushed a week. Ok. Got the counter top 5 days later but no sink cabinet. Figured ok cabinet well be in in a couple days considering Got no other email about it. Went to the store was told it is on the way but they couldn't track it for some reason they didn't know. But they'll call the vender and give me a call...hahaha no call. 5 days later go back just to be told oh its on the way but have no email about it and no one can track it still. Went back another 5 days, oh good different ppl working maybe help. Well this man actually called because he called me a half hrs after I left the store only to tell me that it got damaged and wanted to know if I wanted it reorder. Yes I do I don't have a kitchen without it. Oh ok well it's not going to be in until may 2 to the 9th! Today is the 6th, got an email saying it was in. Yay to today...so I thought. Went down just to be told nope not in not going to be in until the 12th!! They don't know why I got the email saying it was in. So I say unless it's in the store don't buy it go to Lowes instead! So done with this store. Their system obviously sucks and they don't know what's going on. And this is the second time something like this has happened but the first time was in April 2020 so I understood. Now nope done taking my business to other places don't care if I got to drive half way across the state to go somewhere that's not a home depot

I have had countless purchases that were either DOA or failed within a year. Some involved very costly installations--a $300 wood counter top warped so badly within the first year that a pen would roll off of it. The cost to remove it and the sink in it and replace was in the thousands

On August 5th, I needed to purchase a new refrigerator to replace the one that died while I was away. I could not see a floor sample for the exact replacement of the one that was in stock. I found an associate for help. She needed to get someone to bring the refrigerator down from the upper shelving. I waited over 30 minutes for the person who could bring down the refrigerator to the floor. He brought it down and put it on a cart in order for me to purchase it. I had to push the cart to the register area to pay and then pushed the cart outside. I looked for an associate to help me load the refrigerator in my truck, and there was no one around. I went out to the parking lot to bring my truck to the loading area, and my wife went to the customer service desk for help and was told that someone would come out to help load the refrigerator. After another 15 minutes of waiting, I found an associate in the parking lot retrieving carriages and asked if he could help me, which he did. After a total experience time of over an hour and a half I will never recommend a friend or family member to purchase an appliance as a walk-in customer. Maybe buying it without necessity and having it delivered may be better service. Once I opened the packaging and the refrigerator, it had a broken crisooertray, which is not Home Depot's fault. However, I had to do a return trip to get a replacement tray, which they did for me.Not a great experience.

Bought two different colors of paint and they accidentally gave the same color. When we returned the wrong color gallon the staff was friendly and Adam kindly remixed the correct color paint and let us keep the extra.

I just did curbside service from here. Dwane came out in the rain and happily helped me. Wanted to thank him with a tip. He said they don’t allow that here. So here’s a tip for you. Great guy. Polite friendly and helpful. He deserves to be recognized some how if I can’t do it, someone should.

The reason for this review is to express my disgust with an experience at the Westerly store in hopes that other customers don’t have to go through the same.An exterior door had to be changed at home and after taking measurements and receiving help from a local Home depot, the wrong door was purchased. When returning the door, I learned the size I needed wasn’t a size carried in store but Westerly had it in stock.These are my best estimates for timeline but please review camera footage for accuracy.Saturday 6/17/239:21 PM – I called The Westerly store and spoke to Erin. She stated door (SKU 812325) was available but the screen (SKU 609440) was not9:55 PM – I arrived at the Pro entrance. The doors were locked so I ran to the other entrance.9:56 PM – As I walked in, Erin and Dan were at the Customer Service Desk. An employee was walking towards the desk and as I begin to tell Erin I was there for the door she had confirmed was in stock the unnamed employee turned around.10:00-10:01 PM – I arrive at customer Service Desk with door and screen which Erin stated was not in stock.Erin noticed the door size I had pulled was incorrect, which I appreciate. She then stated we are closed. Joshua, who was sitting in a chair behind the customer service desk made a comment along the lines of “if there are 2 or 3 in the system it’s not there, don’t waste your time” I asked I could run back to grab the correct size since it was there. I was almost begging. My wife is 8 months pregnant, I had no exterior door, it was raining and I traveled from Groton CT. Erin gave the “go ahead” and I rushed back to get the right size.When I called Erin earlier I asked if someone could verify both to prevent a wasted trip. She stated the door was in stock but the screen wasn’t. When I was in the aisle, there were at least 4 screens available. I arrive at the desk with the correct door and screen. I was ok until Joshua made a sarcastic remark. I let him know both the door and screen were in stock contrary to what he had said a few minutes before. It was clear he wasn’t happy about having to ring me up. If you are able, you could see in the video, he made a sarcastic comment and gave a thumbs up. Customer service was not his priority at that point. I commented that the store should do better. I would have been out more quickly had someone been helping. This was in reference to both the employee walking away as I first arrived and watching Joshua make comments while sitting.As Joshua was ringing mw out I asked to speak to a manager and he pointed to Dan, who was right behind him. Having worked retail and customer service, I understand how a Saturday night can be. I expressed the same concern as I did to Joshua of the store needing to do better. I understand I came in late and wasn’t looking for a consult. I knew exactly what I needed and didn’t feel the employees were doing anything to assist. Dan continued with shallow comments. I don’t recall the order but among them were “We’re short staffed, my employees are off the clock.”After paying for the items, I asked if someone can assist me in loading the two large items into my car. Dan says “No, my employees are off the clock”There was a 4th person in a green shirt and glasses who stepped in to use a computer. I asked if no one will assist me and the person in the green shirt adamantly responded. NO!I left the store with the cart and parked it so the merchandise didn’t get wet as I was still parked in the Pro area. While I’m loading the doors, the person in green shirt who was identified as security said “Sorry”. In my anger I said nothing.My disgust comes from how comfortable all 4 employees were at lacking customer service. This indicates I’m not the first to experience this but can only hope I’m the last.. Again my hopes are to bring this to your attention if it hasn’t been brought and to be sure the employees are aware their poor behavior is a reflection on the company.I will not shop at the Westerly store.

Went in on a Sunday, had a big list of supplies I wanted for building a greenhouse. Had somewhat low expectations. Met a nice lady named Beth, who asked if she could help, who in turn got her co worker Pina onboard, they absolutely could not have been nicer, and more helpful. My order was delivered the next day.These two are absolute gems, and I will also add, the three truck drivers who contacted me about the delivery, (order came in 3 separate trucks), were amazing.Just a great experience, kudos to Beth and Pina!

Website ordering is terrible and inaccurate. I paid $79 for local delivery next day on my order of closetmaid wire shelving and other items. Only the closet poles were delivered and the rest are being shipped (which was free). I tried customer service and they are useless. A waste of $79

Went in to talk to someone about cabinets we’re looking in to. The big guy in the back with glasses sitting at his cubicle told us to make an appointment he wasn’t sure anyone had time to talk to us. So if he wasn’t sure he should’ve done what he could to at least try to see if he could find someone to assist us. Before that he wouldn’t even give us the time of day. Just kept trying to shut us up and hurry us along. Then even told us to write down some measurements and come back later..Do better Depot. Do better!

I tried to find a reason to give this store less than 5 stars but i really can't. Even online ordering now is excellent with pick up at the lockers at entrance or wait in car for them to bring it out.Easy and Hastle free.I reccommend the HD credit card, great perks and ways to pay overtime and can return much later than with others.get the 1/2" Dewalt impact wrench. working on car and taking off wheels has never been easier!

We recently had a carpet installed and there is a seam down the middle of our living room and another one on the side. We were told they would settle and be less noticable in a week. It has been a month everything is still there. We called and they sent someone over to fix it, he couldn't fix it. We contact management and get no return call. Good thing some longtime associates still work there, otherwise, staff has become unpleasant.Overall, dusty merchandise throughout store, poor to no cellphone service in the store or parking lot, but, HD intercom/phones work flawlessly.... HD worried the customer is price shopping?

Very over priced and the credit card rates ARE INSANE AND WILL DROWNED YOU. Nones willing to work with you on coming down on the interest rates . They don’t care if you can’t make a payment . If you don’t have the money don’t put it on a HD credit card . If you do try to pay it off fast !

Long story short, they called me in about a damage to product I ordered, I had to swap for a different order, I asked for a discount, none was given, but I later received an email and refund of price adjustment. Very surprised in a good way.I later had to return the item, there was no hassle, aside from an hour long wait (the item was still at the store), Taylor was alone at the return desk, but she did her best.Everyone I've encountered whether experience nor training takes their time in being helpful at this home Depot.The five star is for the multiple trips and experience with the employees and the store in general.

Absolutely atrocious visit. Would give a zero star if I could. Tried to rent a lift for important oroject that showed available on website and I called store before going to verify it was there. Got there only to find unit unavailable for rent IN ENTIRE REGION. wasted several hours of my time. "Sorry about that (meek chuckle)"

Time and time again a complete disappointment. I learn the hard way. They get one star for location.The delivery window is 14 hours. 6am to 8pm. Sitting on a construction site on a rainy day waiting for sheetrock from 6am. i was told I could call on my delivery day to get a smaller time window. That was bull. Every single time I go back and order something out of convenience I regret it. My sheetrock came after dark soaking wet with no loading help so I have 80 boards sitting out in the rain. This is not the first time I've been treated like garbage by this store. The last time I ordered sheetrock from them they boomed it through a second story window and stacked it neatly but it was only a part of the order and they told me to come get the rest myself . I've also ordered lumber for delivery and they sent me a pile of twisted junk .I spend thousands of dollars at that store every year. The trip to Lowes or an actual lumber Yard is a much smoother experience unless you need paint I would go someplace anyplace else.This store routinely messes up and does nothing to right there mistakes.

It was a trip to Home Depot where you go to buy one thing and pick up 4 or 5 other things since you are there. I did have a nice employee help me with something I needed there weren't any on the hook they even thought the website said they had them. He asked if I needed help and got a latter to get what I needed on the top sheve that where they keep small items to restock the shelves.

I've been to home depot's across the country. This westerly store is the most disorganized and mis managed store ever seen. Understandable when mistakes happen but when it is a reoccurring theme. There is obviously a lack of management and even the slightest bit of attention to any detail. I will drive the extra 30 minutes from now on to go to a different store where these problems rarely occur

Love the store, but trying to rent a vehicle here is a nightmare. I've been planning all week to rent a vehicle for a Saturday morning job in another state. I called early in the week and was told they don't make reservations, but they will hold a vehicle for two hours.The night before I needed the vehicle I called to put a hold on a vehicle and pick it up by 0630 the following morning. They told me they just rented the vehicle I needed but could get me a pickup truck. Sure I said, that'll work, please hold it for me. No problem, they said, just call us by 0630 to reconfirm and pick it up by 8.I call at 0600, right when they open, to confirm my vehicle. Good thing I called, because they didn't hold my vehicle and "just rented it out five seconds ago to someone else."An entire week's worth of planning, but Home Depot can't give straight answers, take a reservation or track their hold requests overnight. If your project requires planning and forethought, don't depend on Home Depot rental services.

I like Home Depot, but it's kind of by default because they're getting to be the only nearby game, and they're not even all that close to me. They are, generally, well stocked, making them good fir a DIYer. Still, because they are 30 minutes away in two directions, I time my visits with obligations in those directions, using Amazon now mostly, if the price is right, which it wasn't in this case. One thing I do really like is having the location in the store in the phone app. I put everything I want in the cart, and let it guide me through the store.

tried to order a washer and dryer in store, the associate assisting me didn’t seem to know what they were doing and failed to sell me a stacking kit for my STACKING washer dryer. after taking an entire day off work for the installation they called to inform me that my stacking kit that I had to call and have a customer service representative add to the order myself was incorrect and they could not deliver the correct one until days after my scheduled installation.spending thousands of dollars on products that can’t even be installed now, in addition to the significant lost income from taking the day off work, all due to their poorly trained staff resulted in not even a single apology. shop at lowe’s instead, their staff actually know what they’re doing.

First off I would like to say that I visit home depot no less than 5 times a week. So I feel as though I am within my rights to say something about the elephant in the room or in this case big box since nobody else has the nerve to bring it up. Home depot is an ideal place to go if you want to start a project. But not everyone has the same views as to what a project is. Some people will go in like myself for maybe a half dozen or so items to get us through the day. Maybe some 4x4 pressure treated posts or maybe some bags of cement. But then you have these guys that are buying enough supplies to take over the world and of course they are all in line in front of me. That's right I'm talking about the mad scientists that come in every day between 8 and 10. I didn't even know that you COULD buy uranium at the depot! And why do you need 200 bags of it? But no. They always get there before me and form a giant line to the contractors checkout. That would all be bad enough if it wasn't for the employment agency setting up a kiosk in the parking lot for hopeful minions.

I had carpets installed by Home Depot at first I was happy with everything, then I noticed fraying in the doorways only one has a door that doesn’t touch the carpet. This carpet is only two months old. I called Home Depot to let them know about the problem, they told me it was probably my vacuum doing it and there wasn’t anything they can do for me about it. I wish I could post pictures of the problem. Very unhappy with the quality.

Call me in the morning to find out what time I was going to be there instead of telling me over the phone they did not have the product I need they let me drive two and a half hours out of my day wasted now because they didn't feel like letting me know when they called me.... after I got there they told me that I wanted something other than what I specifically ordered. Can give him negative stars so I have to give themm one.

Shopping for PVC gutters and after loading everything on my cart I realized I needed end caps and another downspout. Surched the racks and found none. I asked a young man who loading metal gutters into the rack for assistance. He couldn't find any and told me he didn't have a computer. I asked him to check and he agreed. 15 minutes later I assumed he was not coming back to assist. I went to the service desk, no one was there. I went to the register and asked the cashier to check, he stated if it's not in the rack we don't have it.Left dissatisfied.

Overpriced poor quality oh, you can get which better quality local supply house reel lumber yard. For instance, pressure-treated lumber is number two. Get number 1 pressure treated at you need to go to a regular lumber yard like Riverhead Supply. Don't waste your time! I've had better luck with Hardware in a hardware store then at Home Depot.
