The employee at the checkout with the cane was very rude to me for zero reason. I didn’t ask her for her help, didn’t look at her or anything. She says to me in a rude voice”look at the screen, you have to follow the directions”…I’ll avoid her line every time now. Remember, your entire job is customer service. At least be pleasant….

I have tried and tried to shop here but the self checkout is absolutely dysfunctional. A waste of my time EVERY SINGLE TIME I try to shop here.

Just don’t have enough checkers. And the self check is now backed up. I know everyone is looking for workers but local competition does not have same problem to this degree. Everything else is fine. Picture is todays line.

Don't count on the stuff being helpful. I've used the flash food program here a number of times and it seems that nobody ever wants to work it. I end up getting booted around between two or three employees before somebody buckles down and actually helps me out

Self checkout is the worst anywhere. None of them work. It’s takes forever to get thru and a minimum of 3 tries from employee. We need a Publix!! Best service store ever and prices are the same with actual service. This place sux.

I had home delivery due to the fact I am temporarily disabled. FIRST, they substitute raspberry yogurt for the peach that i ordered. I'm allergic to the raspberry. I complained 3 days ago still no response from Stop n shop. SECOND, my directions for delivery person, was to leave groceries on deck. Instead delivery person banged on the door till I managed to get up and answered the door. I had to tell him to "leave it on the deck". THIRD, they put a hold for the original price of groceries, which was fine and expected. However, bill came to less because some items were unavailable. So stop n shop took the money for the lower price, but DID NOT cancel the original hold for original price. It's been 3 days since my order and 2 days since i complained, and I'm still waiting for my money to be released! ABSOLUTELY NO COMMUNICATION from stop and shop. I have called them,they said itd be taken care of. HOWEVER,STILL WAITING!!!! Definitely will NOT get home delivery again from stop n shop. I didn't have this problem from other home grocery delivery services I've used. VERY DISAPPOINTED!!!

Standard. Can be very busy as lots of tourists are milling about trying to find things in an unfamiliar store.Fresh produce and a nice seafood department.No. They don't sell alcohol.

They never have what I need anymore. And it seems like everytime I check out (with the hand held shopping device) I end up getting audited, I have no idea why? One week I got audited 3 times in a row. And the prices have doubled or tripled since Covid 19 started. It's so expensive I really try to avoid going there if I can. And most of the people I know feel the same exact way.

This store will suck every penny out of you. Don't shop here if you think your money is important. This place is expensive and you will save more by shopping elsewhere. Even if you have to drive farther, you will save more. I don't know what the employees make here but I bet they can't afford to shop where they work.

Stop & Shop has a great variety for all your needs, and fantastic sales.that change weekly. This particular store is clean, organized, and has a friendly, helpful staff. They know how to assist customers during busy times, with professionalism, courtesy, and respect. They have many specialized departments too,.including deli prepared foods, meat department with Angus beef, floral department, lots of pharmacy items, seasonal items, organic items, and the well stocked usual items like baking, paper goods, frozen, dairy, canned goods, etc. The front end is always super helpful and pleasant! This is a great store to shop!

This is not one of the better Stop n Shops I've been to. I found their variety on certain items was not as big as other Stop n Shops (i.e; Selter Water) And the customers that shop there are very rude

The help is awesome!! The quality is great but the quantity is so so !!!! The prices seem higher at some stores than others!! I have to say a lot of people that’s have visited from out of town felt uncomfortable as if they were treated differently but I still shop here will continue to shop here but maybe they should treat EVERYBODY the SAME!!!!! I’m taking about Narragansett Stop and Shop🤦🏼‍♀️westerly stop and shop is definitely the safest one to shop .. my take anyway!!!

Wouldn’t recommend this store to my worst enemy. Sarah/ Tara the so-called manager with the buck teeth and blue eye shadow got in our faces over balloons AFTER she continued to ignore her co-workers and then disrespect another one in front of customers. She was rude, nasty and unprofessional. We will never be back, she gives Stop & Shop a bad name.

The staff here are very friendly, tolerant and helpful. 4 stars given because the self-checkout is annoying as hell, the machine has to weigh each item you place in the bagging area before you scan another item. If the item you’re trying to weigh is light weight, it might not even detect it. Which forces a staff member to come over and scan their badge. Just got 5 kool aid packets for fun, my fiancé has never had kool-aid, and a cashier had to scan his badge for every single one because it was too light weight for the machine to detect. Overall, the self-checkout only goes smoothly if you’re well experienced with its nuances.

Produce prices high. I don't normally shop at Stop & Shop. All avocados were ripe but in general it's neat and aisles are well marked. Customer service and other staff were extremely helpful. Five stars for employees. Two stars for prices.

This store is fine, but holy **** is it expensive! A bag of frozen chicken that would cost me $6 at Walmart was $11.49 here. $11.49!!! Organic strawberries were $7.99.I am not a millionaire so I only shop here rarely, dang.

Good meat and seafood departments. Also a decent selection of organic foods. Deli is also good, with friendly staff. Unfortunately, though, the store is pricey overall. So if you're looking to buy groceries and save money, this isn't the place to go.

Just moved to town and luckily moved into a neighborhood with stop & shop nearby. As a mom of three the grocery store tends to be a frequent stop on the errands list. The selection, prices and variety this store offers is comparable if not better than our usual place back in GA. The people the work there are incredible and helpful, patient and kind. I was stoked. The kids are stoked. Everyone's eating happily. Which works for me!

I walked in and the store was filling the fruit bins with new produce , they had a sale on strawberries,buy. 1 get 2 free ! But what I like about this Stop and Shop is that it's always clean , and there are actual cashiers. , I don't have to check out myself unless I want to !

Rude people. Good prices, not helpful and they don't know where anything is. Disappointing home town store. But unless you want to spend a lot more money elsewhere in Westerly, it is a good choice. McQuades has much better food, but at a higher price. And they are polite. Stop and Shop takes your business for granted. Not elderly friendly either. But good deals keep us going.

I bought cold cuts this morning and Mikel put my order together. He held up a slice of ham and asked if it was thin enough. I spotted something on it, looked like a pepper from the last order. I brought it to his attention and he tossed it! Nice person!However the woman working with him ( I think the first letter in her name was a V)burst in to let me know that they slice many kinds of cold cuts on that machine, not just ham! So should I accept the fact that my cold cuts clean the slicer and that’s my lunch? Rude

Never fails in here that there are 3 or 4 employees leaning on one of the self check out machines while 3 of them are blinking, there's a line to produce and it must now be forbid by their union for any employee to lift a finger to help bag. I should be grateful, at least they're holding the registers from falling over.
