Without getting into details, the girls at the store were extremely rude. They pulled each other aside to talk about us and denied it when confronted. It was all about fish and what they felt was appropriate. I have had fish in the past and I know how to take care of them. They dismissed me and continued whispering behind our backs. They said if I didn’t buy a 10 gallon tank they wouldn’t sell me the fish I wanted. A beta and a tetra. In their 3 gallon tanks they have a hundred tetras. Where is the logic?

Absolutely livid, so I come here ALL THE TIME, LITERALLY 3 TIME A MONTH, as I bought my pet babies here, never had a issue with a sale ever, for Guinea pig hay, and Guinea pig pellets they always run a sale buy one get one half off or 25% off MIX AND MATCH today I got chewed that I was wrong FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER, ALTHOUGH the first cashier agreed with me, that it's MIX and match I could do it, Nichole as she said that's her name faught with me about it rude as he'll I've never been so fired up after explaining I literally get this a couple times a month, and it's always on sale, I ALWAYS GET THEM TOGETHER ON THE MIX AND MATCH SALE, NOPE 🙅♀️ NOT TODAY. AS SHE STATED IM WRONG AS OF I LIED ABOUT IT NOT BEING A ISSUE ANY OTHER TIME

My fur baby and I had the worst experience EVER at westerly petsmart. They are complete liars there. They gave no consideration to my fur baby or myself. All over her needing her nails trimmed. She's the most gentlest dog, shes very very loving. They tried trimming her nails but soothingly when they went to start they surrounded her and went to the back leg first. It startled her and she lightyear growled so they stopped and asked me to reschedule. When I called to reschedule the girl made the appointment but then told me to hold on. A gentleman then came on the phone to tell me my dog was aggressive towards the girl and she couldn't come back to petsmart. I hate liars and if she felt that my dog was aggressive why did she tell me to reschedule and why didn't she tell me herself Iwe couldn't come back. Why put a gentleman on the phone to tell me. We will never purchase anything from petsmart ever again and I will be telling all my friends the treatment we received

Very friendly staff! I went in there to buy a life jacket for my dog (off season) and couldn’t find any on the shelves. The store staff went out of their way to check in the back (twice!), until they found a box tucked in somewhere that had one. Highly recommend! I come to this store frequently and I was never disappointed.

Very large store with lots of products and decent variety. There is plenty of parking at this location. They have a club membership for discounts and coupons. I believe they offer free shipping to the store from their website. Our puppy loves going in for a visit.

Sunday June 25, 2023 not one worker was one I had seen before. Apparently there was all new staff, they treated me like I never been there before which I understood as they were doing their job but when I explained to them how I like my dog cut they proceeded to tell me what cut would be better for him and then dragged my dog by his neck to get him to go with them. I explained he does not know any of you people so he may be anxious. I left my dog feeling very uneasy, especially after being told he couldn’t get picked up until 6-7 when his appointment was at 130 and it never took them longer than 3 hours. I was very worried and because I live out of town I had a friend who would pick him up for me. She waited in the grooming waiting room around 4pm until they were done. She walked in and not one dog was being worked on, instead the workers were having free time, She told me she saw dogs being dropped on the floor and the workers saying how they were not filing incident reports, they were handling the dogs very aggressively and speaking to them rudely. She was then asked to step out the waiting room. Another women the same day brought her dog in at 9am and did not get him back until 4pm. I called at 530 wanting to ask how my dog was doing and if they had an updated time on when he would be ready as they said 6-7 was just an estimate. Over the phone they were rude to me and did not tell me how my dog was doing instead they said he would be ready at 6-7 and hung up. They never called when he was ready and told my friend he needed to be cut extra short because of knots even though my dog had no knots because his hair was not very long and I brush him daily. They did not call me to notify me and they charged me over 100 dollars. I will never bring my dog here again. I miss the old workers who made me feel secure leaving my dog there and were so good about communicating. They truly loved animals. My dog is now traumatized he never has come home so shaken up. These new workers do not care for animals and do not take pride in their job. I have brought my dog here going on four years and unfortunately it’s time for me to find somewhere new.

For the grooming Center all must be known that the prices online and apparently talked about before you drop the dog off on the phone and in person will be completely and utterly different than what you pay at the end no matter how many times you have stated that you do not desire extra services or special products or items used for the animal of witch you are getting groomed. I understand the need for adding a few items if they are desperately needed however no call or discussion was had with me while my dog was getting groomed about adding an extra “special” shampoo and conditioner and extra services following that. I had previously talked with the groomer while dropping my dog off and discussing what my needs were for my animal and how they could be met. I specifically disclosed that I did not want any extra expensive or special shampoo or services at that time. No matter my financial standing on this matter I was not expecting to come out paying almost $200 for a wash and blow dry for my animal. I was told it would be $54. So please confirm further with the grooming staff as to what you and your animals needs may be and I recommend highly disclosing if you can or cannot afford to get your dog groomed because apparently it may be a problem coming in expecting and being told one price and having to pay a little less than triple that amount in the end. Without permission to go ahead and perform additional services that were not asked for or requested and then to push forward the price of those additions on a person who may not be financially equipped to pay that price and to yet still be forced to pay it is not OK. Literally a struggling college student lol. Thank you Pet smart grooming employees and false website information and booking system.

Nice staff and good store but they consistently have one price listed and another one that comes up when you check out. Staff is good about adjusting but I have now resorted to taking pictures of all the prices pertaining to my items. Not sure if they're hoping people won't notice and keep overcharging but it feels dishonest.

We took our puppy to get her picture done with Santa. I was told it would be emailed to me in 3 to 4 hours that was Saturday never received it. So we called the store they said it takes 48 hours so which is it. Never received it. Called the store on Monday they said they would look into it they called me back said they wanted confirm my info and what the puppy looked like. Then nothing. I know the picture is free but I drove 45 minutes to get there the other stores were booked. I've given up. Very disappointed

Best pet place in rhode island. never had a bad experience, i went in today to replace a 60$ aquarium filter that accidentally broke and they gave me a brand new one off the shelf for free! no questions asked. The employees are super nice and friendly.

They always do a great job with my pup’s nail clippings/grinding even though he’s a big baby about it. We got there a little later than planned one day and Hillary was more than happy to take our appointment. They really are the best!

This is the best petsmart in the country. The manager Raymond Blanda is the best manager in the world. He should get promoted or moved up to corporate. He needs a pay raise now.Thank you.

Chris is amazing! Not only did he help us find the perfect harness, toys and food for our new puppy Ziggy, he told us about wetting a towel, twisting and freezing it to help with teething. It works like a charm and Ziggy loves it! Definitely got a new family of shoppers from us

Update made the 40 mile round trip again just because they claimed they had a particular fish I was looking for but of course when I got there it was a 40 Mi wasted trip because they didn't have what I was looking for even though they claimed they did both on the website and the phone most horrifying of all when I did get there every single tank had dead fish in it run from this place don't walk runSeemed all the employee cared about was washing the dogs went in to get some tropical fish, myself and two other customers stood around for almost half an hour trying to chase down an employee but yet they were all in playing with the dogs or hiding in the back couldn't get anybody so all three of us separate customers walked out and left what a waste of time so bad there wasn't even a cashier at the register she was in the dog room as well won't make that trip again

As a new Bearded Dragon 'mom,' I walked in to the Westerly PetSmart looking for food for Taco. What I got a warm greeting and a terrific bit of advice from my cashier. She suggested I bring Taco outside with me to enjoy some fresh, untreated grass and some sunshine! I think Taco approves!

This store has everything for pets. A wide variety of specialty food brands for dogs and cats. The one thing they do not carry is products from Hartz Mountain. I found that unusual.

We booked online for a puppy bath and trim for our 6-month puppy (based on what we booked for her a few weeks ago) for $20. It took almost twenty minutes just to get checked in. We brought some treats for her, since another location had told us we had to bring our own, but this location said they don’t allow any treats or food at all. When we went to check out, we got a bill for over $100 - apparently the puppy bath and trim stops at 5 months, plus they charged an extra $10 for “scissorwork.” There was no mention of age when I logged in to book online, and at the very least someone should have let us know the difference. The groomers even mentioned that they “take plenty of time for puppies to be comfortable” when we dropped her off. On top of this, her whole trim is sloppy, and it took almost two hours - her paws are choppy, they shaved a huge area on her chest down to the skin where she had a small tangle, and her chin is all different lengths where they also cut two small tangles. I think it would have looked better if I cut the tangles myself. We definitely regret going to a different location (we went to New London for her first groom and used to take our other dog there) to try and squeeze in before the holidays and won’t be returning.

Wouldn’t normally leave a review but had to give a huge shoutout to Benjamin for being so patient and helpful today! I didn’t expect anyone to be able to help me select fish that would thrive in a brackish paludarium, but Benjamin saved the day with his extensive knowledge of saline tolerance in the fish species that PetSmart carries. Will certainly be coming back.

petsmart took my money I paid in advance for grooming for my dog the 1st time went great the girl was good and did a great job with my dog the 2nd time I of course requested her again sane thing good job 3rd time she doesn't work there anymore and the clowns they have in grooming area now won't perform any services on my dog let me pay drop her off then call me when I get to my car and tell me to come back and get her

Always helpful staff this place is great for cats and dogs but as a ferret owner not to many options for food or treats, some bedding, and hammocks are available. I come here for paper pellet litter it's only $10 for a 25lb bag, I can't find this price anywhere else!
