Very disgruntled former driver. I started working for them in 2020 during Covid. The offer was medical Insurance, paid time off, 2 weeks vacation to start, 401K and PROFIT SHARING to be given in a check at the end of each year. My starting pay as a truck driver was $17.00 hour with overtime after 40 hours. They were understaffed and were at the highest volume for material delivery out of the 3 years I was there. During a 5 day week our hours were 50-55 week. Although the pay was low I accepted the job based on the other benefits they offered me. During that time my manager had over 40 years experience working every angle of the company. His leadership made it enjoyable and i went to work with pride. When he left for a different position the company went outside for new leadership. In November 2022 they hired a manager outside the industry who had no knowledge of lumber or driving. They turned their focus of what matters most into only caring about numbers and profits. This included turn around time, time to get to delivery, and time spent on delivery site which impacted customer service. They sat and watched you all day on GPS and monitors in the office.The pressure of hurrying led to mistakes which caused my relationship to end with them. I didn't get my pro-rated share of profit-sharing for the 9 months I worked for them this year nor did I get my full 2 weeks vacation pay, what was supposed to be given to me was now prorated all of a sudden. The backstabbing in dispatch and their cut throat attitude made it a miserable place to work.

Top notch company. Love the staff. Knowledgeable and extremely helpful. Can't say enough about the help they give and solutions to all our needs. My favorite part is they are always kind, and their service is always delivered with a huge smile... The staff is actually fun to work with. They also help the community. Family owned and operated. You can see the staff enjoy their jobs. A feel-good purchase even when it's an emergency. Who could ask for more than that?

I have worked with Arnold Lumber for a long time. They have a wide selection of products, a knowledgeable and friendly staff, and have a number of locations throughout the state, each with its own character. Different then a big box home improvement center in that you won't find everything under the sun, but if they don't carry it they can usually get it.

Cannot say enough about this company. Had an issue with a project at my house and a structural beam. They were able to fix the issue by providing a new structural same day. Someone actually helped me while on their vacation! Thank you!!!!

As a local homeowner who occasionally needs some quality lumber, but doesn't own a truck or have time to shop in person, Arnold Lumber is the best. I've placed 6 orders with Arnold Lumber over the phone in the past few years and each time they have provided great quality lumber for my various projects around the house, like resurfacing my deck. Compared to places like Home Depot where lumber grade is low, Arnold is at least a grade above meaning less wasted wood if you need to avoid imperfections, knots, etc.Not only is the lumber very good quality, but next day delivery is free even on smaller orders. This is perfect for anyone in town who needs quality lumber delivered to their home.
