Jenny was great! I have a chocolate lab who has never been to a groomer and I wasn’t sure what to expect. The place itself is great - as soon as you walk in it feels like a cozy doggy home with lots of love. There were multiple dogs just hanging out and having fun, they had their own couch & everything. My dog was ecstatic when he got to meet new friends and play with them until it was his turn for a bath. He HATES baths & I think this was a great way to get his mind off of it and relax.I noticed Jenny was great with all the dogs and definitely a natural dog person. She talks to them, she sings with them, it was like one big dog party! At the same time she was professional and responsible with the dogs. (And me.)My dog has a lump on his back that’s a nightmare to take care of. Jenny went beyond my expectations & cleaned it up & put some ointment on it to protect it. He got a good bath, ears cleaned, nails trimmed, thorough brushing, and a brand new Christmas bandana to complete the new look!I give the furdresser two thumbs up. Max says 4 paws up for new friends & treats & spa treatment!

We took our Great Pyrenees Bailey to Jenny to help with his massive shedding we would spend 15 minutes a day with a coat rake trying to combat his flying fur!!! Now after one visit i noticed a huge difference I didn’t vaccume a floor coated with fur 4 times today it’s amazing ! And speaking of amazing he smells soooo good like a giant field of flowers 🌸 his ears are squeaky clean and his nails no longer click on the floors like a principal coming down a hall way 😂 we live 37 minutes away but it was well worth the drive she even offered to drop him off to us since she lives in the same city ! I see all these negative reviews and no photos to prove these horrible things they say ,I would suspect it’s other groomers wanting to defer you from her business to gain the customers themselves !

Thank you, thank you!! I was so worried about having my severely matted cat Louis groomed since he has never been groomed. He is also a bit aggressive at times…especially when you go near his knots. Jenny was amazing. She made Louis her priority and groomed him beautifully and without bother. He is such a happy cat now. We will definitely be visiting The Fur Dresser a few times a year from now on. Thank you!

I brought my dog there yesterday to be groomed. I dropped her off at 2:30. Three hours goes by, and I didn’t receive any notice of when she would be done, or any update whatsoever. 5:30 comes and I was told she had just been washed, and was told I would receive a phone call once she was done. I arrive at the facility for six, which was when I was told the place closed, still never received a phone call. I tried calling, and nobody picked up. 7 o’clock comes and I was told they were finishing her up. She was not done till almost 8:30, after dropping her off at 2:30 in the afternoon. Then I get told that it’s pretty much my dogs fault because it took them that long to groom my dog, and charged us full price after waiting six hours for my dog to be done. I will never go back to this place to bring my dog.

Jenny is amazing!! She has been my cats groomer, well she's only groomed her twice, and the second time my cat was getting a bath, and my cat whose a handful, really went at Jenny, I understand my cat is temperamental and I never hid that fact, both grooming appointments came out with Rockie smelling good and looking and feeling gorgeous!! Jenny is going to be my to go to groomer for as long as Jenny will take my cat to be groomed 💖💖💖

Had to replace my dog's groomer due to owner's retirement. Chose Furdresser because of location and reviews. Jennie is great!! Cannot say enough positive things about this establishment. Highly recommend!!

She was very nice and my cat came back looking wonderful!!! My only concern was she didn't ask for a rabies vacation, and the communication about pick up could have been more clear. I though they would call when she was done, but they siad pick up at 5. My long hair cat was there for 4 hours but she go a bath, a blow dry, and a trim. We would go back!

This was my first time and this groomer. So I dropped her off at 10:30am and she wasn't done until 3:30pm, I asked her why it took so long. He response was awesome. So they get all the dogs settled and then they groom all their feet first from pads, to nails, then they give all the dogs a hair conditioner which helps relax and detangle the fur, then the facial, and then the bath, grooming, trimming and drying etc.

We have been taking our cat to the Furdresser for a couple of years now. We were very impressed at the beginning and would often refer our friends to them. Unfortunately that all changed recently. When we called to make an appointment last week we were told that Kristi the groomer who typically took care of our cat no longer works there. We were reassured that our cat would be fine and they took him in with short notice which we were happy about.Upon taking him home later that day he hid under our bed for a day and a half, wouldn’t eat or go to the bathroom. We brought him to the vet and he was sent to Ocean State Animal Hospital where he has been for 2 1/2 days.I totally understand (now) that cats can get very stressed by going to a groomer. This stress can also bring to light any underlying medical conditions. Our cat turned out to have an underlying condition. However, according to the animal hospital the bruising on his leg and body were NOT associated with any underlying issue. The only thing I can surmise is that something happened at the groomer. I contacted them on Friday to ask if anything happened and I was informed “no he did great! He was actually very well behaved”. The owner said she cares for all the animals like they are her own. She said she would check in with us about our cat. It’s been 3 days and we haven’t heard anything. We will not be going back to the Furdresser and I caution anyone else to bring their animals their either.

I book an appointment with her a week ago easily, she cancelled my appointment 1.30 hr before the appointment, I asked if there is anyone else who could offer the service, she never answer back. Very disappointed on this place that only made me waist time , I could fin another place days before my trip!

NEVER AGAIN!!!!! I dropped my Shih Tzu off at 10:15 for a 10:30 grooming, also when I scheduled with them I explained that I had an appt at 3:45 to make sure there wouldn’t be a problem. After being told I would be all set for 2:45 - 3 by two different people I was relieved he was going to be all set. This was Friday (Labor Day Weekend) and I had plans for the weekend. I called at 2:55 (ALMOST 5 HRS LATER)because I hadn’t heard anything and was told they didn’t have a chance to groom him!, and was asked to come in around 4:30!!!!! Like I said I had talked to the owner and the worker about my 3:45 appt. I can understand 4-5 hrs per pet, but if that’s the case why were there other dogs and at least 2 cats there, the timing doesn’t add up to me. If you don’t have enough time or help then don’t book so many pets in one day.

I've been taking my dog to The Fur Dresser for over 2 years. Kristi and Jenny are wonderful. You can tell they love what they do and love the animals. For the amount of work that they do (bathing, clipping nails, trimming fur, etc.), the prices are extremely reasonable. I could go to many grooming places closer to my house (it's about a half hour drive for me) but coming here is absolutely worth it.

Took my Westie there for the first time. Although it took longer than expected, I was impressed. This is the very first time my little Chloe has come home without being itchy. She has not scratched once! They gave her skin an extra treatment after noticing that it was dry. Her cut looks great and they treated her with extra special care. Most definitely will continue using this salon.

Our pet, Zora is 16. Her regular groomer had trouble with her recently Zora is a little deaf and blind. She's anxious and shakes. Our groomer suggested Petco, no go. Called us within 5 minutes. They suggested the Furdresser. Jenny had Zora more than four hours our first visit. She took her time and was very gentle giving her breaks, etc.... She did a great job. Went back a week later to finish up her paws, ears, eye area etc.... My baby is feeling so much better and comfortable. I can't say enough about Jenny. A real pet whisperer. She's exceptional. Thx, Jenny.

This place was referred to by my vet, my cat was mated and in pain, I called the furdresser and she took my cat the next day. I got there and my cat went right on her lap and let her comb some of the mats from her. She didn’t scream. She ended up shaving my cat and now I have my princess back. Before I took her he was howling and screaming now not a peep out of her she’s 18 years old. She’s pain free and it’s all thanks to Jenny who I highly recommend. She’s very smart when it comes to animals and she knows what she’s doing. Thank you furdresser for helping a cat in pain and making her comfortable again. Princess loves you

The lady was nice and friendly but her time management was off. At time of drop off/check-in she said 6pm is the time she will be done (we dropped him off at 11am). She calls us at 5:00 to tell us 7pm is actually when she will be done cause he needed a second bath, which is fine, whatever it takes to rid him of fleas. (He's an indoor cat, we believe he contracted the fleas from our real live Xmas tree we picked up for Xmas, he's never had flea or tick issues before the tree entered our lives) So 7pm rolls around, I got pick him up and she's still working on him and then finally she's done but he's still really damp. I don't mind the second flea bath and I appreciate the phone call in advance but I hate her time management skills. Oh but the worst was how she cutted my cats nails and she his his skin! She only did the 2 front paws and on each paw she drew blood! I can trim his nails without any issues, I've been doing so since we got him at 4 weeks old (rescue kitty). She's and friendly and she helped with getting rid of the fleas but I wouldn't recommend and unfortunately I didn't go back for a 1 month follow up. Sorry, I had to go to another spot in West Warwick, the drawing blood and cutting him was straw that broke the camels back.

Yesterday I brought my 3 dogs to this groomer for the first time. I have a Pomeranian mix, Doberman and a mini Australian Shepard. After filling out paperwork at the front desk and going through in very detailed fashion what I wanted done with my dogs, finally the actual groomer came out to I guess greet me . The first thing she asked was what kind of dog my mini Australian Shepard was I thought this was odd because every other groomer I have had has known his breed. This was the ONLY question she asked and that was the end of the conversation. She then went out back to not be seen again. Well this was at 1 pm. I was told I would get text messages keeping me up to date on their progress. I waited all afternoon and never received any communication from them. At 5:20 ( 20 minutes after closing ) I called to see what was going on. I was put on hold for quite some time and then was told they wouldn’t be done until 7 pm (2 hours after the close of business. ) I arrived to the shock of my life my beautiful LONG HAIRED mini Australian Shepard looked like a kindergartener had taken a pair of scissors to him. I was horrified. His fur has been hacked into a million different lengths and is a complete mess. I immediately asked her what she did, he was only a bath and trim on the paws. She said oops I thought he was a complete cut. NO WAY he is suppose to have long fur, she went on to tell me that’s why it took so long because she was hand scissoring him. This woman has NO business scissoring ANYTHING she is a butcher and my dog looks HIDEOUS. On top of everything she charged me $74 more than my usual groomer when I complained about the mess she made of my dog her response was “ I’ll take the sales tax off your bill” REALLY!!! DO NOT BRING YOUR ANIMALS HERE.

We took our dog today for the first time and they did a superb job! My dog has a lot of fur, and they managed to get everything out. The best thing about the entire service, was that they took their time and the pictures that they took were super cute. Tbh, I was concerned with the price at first, but they did an entirely thorough job and it was well worth it. I will definitely be bringing her back again!

I’ve been taking my dogs to Kristi and the crew since they opened over 2 years ago now. My dogs have never been so happy and clean. Their teeth get brushed and their feet and butts get washed real good too. They don’t smell like anything but blueberry muffins. Every time i go to pick them up from the groomer they are all smiley and it almost seems like they don’t want to leave lol. I know all of the animals are treated like they were their own and this gives me the confidence to keep coming back, again and again, enjoying how fluffy, clean, and trimmed my dogs feel.

I brought my domestic long hair cat for a trim, bath and nail cut. After picking her up, we were concerned by her behavior. She seemed skittish and was meowing in a concerned way. Upon closer inspection, 7 of her 10 claws were cut to the quick, and her feet were bloody. She was limping and constantly in pain, hissing at her twin brother when she got home. While the cleaning and trim was fantastic, I absolutely can not recommend any groomer that hurts animals like this or is so inexperienced with such basic maintenance tasks.

Would not recommend. Don’t bring your animals here. I had high hopes because of the high rating but such a bad experience and my dog is naked when I asked not to shave him. He has razor burn all over his personal parts and stomach, they stated it was there before the groom. Not true. Place does not seem to hold their cleanliness guidelines too strict. I’ve been to groomers before and they reminded me of my own salon and it was amazing, this was the same money but worse. I shouldn’t have had to pay with what we experienced. Sorry I’m not a review writer but my dog was in distraught. Save the stress on you and your child.

We recently moved to the Warwick area and> I was looking for a quality pet groomer for> my cat. He is Norwegian Forest cat with long fur that is very hard to maintain especially in humid weather. He gets lots of hair balls and> even When i brush him almost every second or> third day. I read reviews and I was thinking> it would be good to go to Furdresser in Warwick at 2434 W Shore Rd.> I made an appointment and came today at> 11:30. I specifically ask for a time when he will be done. They said around 3-30.> The Price at first was $65, than I send I wanted full treatment; cutting nails, bath etc, so they said $75. OK, so far so good.> They called me at 3:06 pm and I was thinking, good my Tony is ready to go home.> However they started explaining me that they have to shave him since he has a lots of> tiny small hair nots and they need to shave> in lion shape. I agreed and they told me to> pick him up at 4:30. When I came first surprise was a price of $99. I said we did not agree on that price, second I want to see my cat. They brought me the cat and they started talking about how he was scratching and not being calm so they cut him few times. My cat is so mellow and calm I don’t understand what they were doing with him.> I refused to pay and lady from the back came to the front and stood in front of the door and she started yelling at me that I have to pay, that she will take me to court and I that don’t care properly care for my cat. I didn’t want to make the situation worse and I said I am am willing to pay $75 and I don’t want to come back.> This has never happened to me before. I used to live in Middletown and I was going for years to Pet Salon in Portsmouth and I was so satisfied with their service and how they treated my cat Tony.

Absolutely hate to do this! Took my two yorkies there a few times now, loved the way they were so welcoming and always gave them perfect cuts. My male is around 10 pounds solid. My female is a dainty little thing coming in close to 3 pounds. They’re not growlers, barkers, or biters. Dropped them off Thursday around 10:45-11:00 they were ready around 6:00-6:30. Picked them up a blonde headed notified me my little one had a scab that started bleeding she cleaned it & my little one didn’t seemed bothered by it. Me walking away thinking maybe the dogs play fought at home no big deal. Got her in my car which she was dripping blood from her leg. You could tell she was uncomfortable and didn’t really want me to look. I let her in the house settled her down then I looked at it. Definitely wasn’t a scab it was a fresh cut, I could see her meat. Which clearly she needed a vet because it was deep enough to get infected. I texted Kristi about the situation, sent her pictures. No reply, no answer, no call nothing. I’m aware accidents happen, I would have totally understood. what boggles me is they had no sympathy for what they did to my little one or even had the audacity to even acknowledge my texts. Be careful for your babies!! They’ll be hearing from my lawyer

I made it perfectly clear that my cat only needed a few mats taken out and a trim. The most problematic mat wasn't taken out and the trim just looks... off. Some areas were trimmed too much and others were entirely ignored. It also took much longer (an hour and a half) than quoted because multiple appointments were booked for our time slot. I'm just so disappointed. Finally, with all due respect the groomer just seemed out of it, as though she was under the influence or sleep deprived. Twitchy, jittery, and couldn't maintain eye contact.Perhaps the groomer I was assigned is simply more dog oriented. I went with this service because the reviews were stellar, but I think I'll maintain business with a local competitor.

Extremely unprofessional and rude!!! I brought my cat in and they did exactly what I asked them NOT to do. I asked for him not to be shaved and his belly is completely shaved for no reason! His tail and legs are cut very uneven and there is still knots in his tail. I calmly approached the situation with one message to the owner explaining what happened and got 7 separate messages increasing with anger and disrespect from 11:30 until midnight. DO NOT BRING YOUR PETS HERE!!!!!!

My cat turns into a demon from hell when he is restrained. Three of us could not trim his nails at home, and an entire veterinary staff could not do it without expensive and potentially dangerous sedation. The FURdresser team took care of it in 5 minutes and he seems completely relaxed. I don't know what higher power they have connections with, but I'm impressed!

Treated poorly for being a regular customer. Plus a man did my dogs hair because they were already 3 hours behind. No idea who he was. Razor burns on dogs stomach and groin area. Definitely NOT who they portray to be. Having 25 years experience doesn't mean your good! More interested in dyeing your dogs hair. Note: place is filthy too! If you love your dog AVOID THIS PLACE!a. They are definitely NOT THE PEO

These ladies beam with love and admiration for every pet that walks through their doors. They're genuine, informative and all around wonderful people! In addition, they're the ONLY one's who can cut one of my dogs nails! I highly recommend them to anyone!

Took my cat for a first time visit. Unfortunately Kiki was very uncooperative but have to say they were awesome. I am going back next week with her to try again this time with a little help from my vet. Thank you ladies for your patience and kindness.

They have the magic touch! I can’t even get my dog to the vet without him being put under sedation for his annual exams because he is so uncooperative and anxious. At the fur dresser, he walks right in and they are able to give him a bath, brush his teeth and even clip his nails! I don’t know how they do it but they have a gift. And for that, I am very appreciative.
