RI SPCA is an amazing rescue. 1- Their staff is SO friendly and educated. 2- The facility is SO clean and well run. I was impressed to see that they had kitties with upper respiratory infections separate from the other cats (you’d be surprised that a lot of places do not do this). 3- We adopted our beautiful Willow (previously known as Raspberry). I was SURPRISED at how much paperwork they provided with her including very detailed vet paperwork, rabies certificate, spay certificate, microchip, and even information on cat body language and how to properly introduce kitties to their new homes and furry friends. I also received an email that had ALL her documents online through ShelterLuv. We are beyond impressed with this rescue. Thank you so much RI SPCA for all you do for our pets and for giving us our beautiful Willow.Willow has adjusted so well on only day 3 and my other cat has already accepted her and loves her so much (we are so shocked). The amount of love and comfort between them makes me feel like it is a sign from our 2-year cat that we had to unexpectedly put to sleep a few months back due to advanced stage cancer (we got her from a different rescue). Our hearts are SO full 😻🌈🐾

We were looking for a kitten to fill a hole when we lost our loved cat after 9 years. I had visited RISPCA and was impressed with the help and setting. I continued to monitor the web page and we were able to successfully match up with this cutie. Wonderful help and place.

We had such a wonderful experience with the RISPCA. The staff is friendly and really tends to their animals. They communicate every step of the adoption process clearly and are very patient. The facility is very clean and the animals seem content as they wait for their new homes. We cannot thank them enough for our little boy, Harry!

I don't know how to express my reviews for SPCA. We just lost a cat about a month ago and were looking for adopting another one. I reached out to Marie O'Toole and she responded to my email immediately. I went to their website and chose a cat. I filled out an application and met the cat. Olivia is excellent. The whole process was a smooth sailing. Very reasonable fees and gave all the belongings to the cat. Olivia helped me to load the car. Thank you all for bringing joy to our lives after losing a cat. The cat is healthy, beautiful and adorable.

Their new facility is immaculate. Clean, individual spaces for the animals, with the kindest most caring staff and volunteers. As a former foster mom for them, and adopter through them, they helped from beginning to end and beyond.Their medical staff and vet techs are phenomenal, and we still travel just to see them. Having adopted a cat that needs ongoing medical attention, they help find the most effective and reasonably priced solutions for us.And it goes without saying, everyone at the RISPCA truly loves and cares for all of the animals. Highly, highly recommend volunteering, fostering, and adopting through them.

My 9 yr old daughter attended a spring camp at RISPA. She thought it was fascinating and educational, and she really liked it. They played games, engaged in art projects, and learned how to care for little animals; the kids really had a chance to interact and take care of pets (guinea pigs, ferrets and rabbits). Ideal camp for children who love animals and want to learn how to care for them.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. The facility was clean and they had lots of animals up for adoption. We ended up getting three guinea pigs, two of them were from the abandoned 42 from Exeter.

if you’re looking for a animal come here. I went to about 8 different shelters and all the cats were $300-500 like places we’re actually making it hard to adopt UNTIL I came here. The prices are exactly what they should be and the staff was kind & helpful!!! I adopted this little fur ball her names cannoli.

We very recently adopted a cat from the RISPCA. The staff were all so helpful! They told us about each cat and let us decide for ourselves which we thought would be best for us. Then, when we made our decision to adopt Buster, now Lucky, they provided us with much information to help gt us started. The new shelter is beautiful, clean and inviting to animals and people alike! It gave us a sense of trust that they really cared. After the adoption the shelter sent several emails to follow up. I have seen many animal shelters but this is the nicest by far.Thank you RISPCA! We love Lucky already!

Like many other shelters in the northeast region, I wasn't able to view dogs for adoption as a walk in. I was told to go online and fill out an Application. Why would I waste my time doing that if I meet the dog in person and it's not the right fit? You should be able to view the dogs as a walk in and then fill out an app. You'd think shelters like this one really want to find these animals a home as quickly as possible. As far write this review, another animal is euthanized because organizations/shelter really are not motivated to find theses animals homes!

I adopted recently and I need to mention that the individual I worked with - Liz - was wonderfully compassionate, knowledgeable, and professional. She clearly understood the animals' background and needs and explained each step of the adoption process in a clear manner. She also informed me of further steps in case I needed assistance with care afterwards. The new facilities are modern and clean and I feel the small animals are well taken care of. When I adopt again, I will definitely be returning there. Thank you for all the good work you do!

Seamless, easy, exciting experience! And our little kitty has a clean bill of health, is super sweet, chipped and spayed. They went above and beyond in so many ways. They included a few handouts with pictures outlining the personality of cats and different ways to interact with them. My 6 year old loved these! The facility is clean and updated.

This place is not the shelter you’re looking for. Wayne, the ‘boss’ at this place is beyond useless. He’s what people call a scumbag. This place cares little for the dog’s safety and less for the safety of the people who adopt them.

I keep e-mailing the RISPCA about neglected animals. Mostly rabbits being hoarded in cages too small for them to turn around or move. None of the animals have food or water. None of my e-mails have ever been respondedto.

The facility is clean and the animals seem happy with their treatment. Lots of caring volunteers to help walk and clean the animals quarters. Workers were all friendly and helpful, knowledgeable and clearly invested in the welfare of their animals. I would highly recommend volunteering and if you are interested in adopting a small animal, cat or dog this is the place to go. Here is a picture of our new rescue bunny Rascal.

I have to say it was a seamless experience. However, it would be wrong if I didn't recognize Doug. Doug spent nearly an hour with me going over all the dogs. Then helped me set up the appointment. His knowledge and love for these dogs is clearly evident. He made the experience for myself and daughter special. Thanks for everything Doug

Very friendly crowd, I adopted a kitty from them over two years ago and he's still the first photo that pops up, like front page photo, when searching this place. He's the best boy. Here's a picture of him now

Told me was a (no kill shelter) surrendered my 6 year old pit princess... awesome dog, smart as could be. I checked on her 1 week after and they said she was aclamiting great! Called today 3 weeks after just wondering how she was doing, and they told me she couldn't walk! Their vet determined numerological issues and they euthanized her! I'm completely beside myself! I had no choice but to give her up thinking she would be ok, and be adopted. It was either that or be homeless with a 10 year old daughter. They murdered our dog! No kill my azz!

Had such a great experience here in July. Adopted the most precious pup into the fam. Their facilities were great, the staff even better. Impressed by their adoption process and applications, they really care about their animals.

This place is horrendous. I had to rehome my 2 year old male Tabby and asked if they euthanize animals. The front desk secretary said no they don't. A couple of weeks later I called to check how he was doing and was thinking about keeping him. The same woman replied "Oh he's dead" "we had to put him down there was no way we were going to rehome him". Disgusting customer service and disgusting people that work there. it's a short staffed slaughterhouse! don't even think about bringing any pet there to be rehomed.Rest in Paradise Jasper
