This seafood area always smells so gross. I usually get mine from the seafood market, but they were closed today and I needed shrimp.I payed $16 for a pound and a half at Stop and Shop because I guess I was desperate... when I got home and opened the package it smelled really really weird. I thought maybe after I cook it, it will smell better.....nope, only made it worse. There is a difference between knowing someone is cooking fish and it smells nice, and your house smelling like a dirty aquarium. I added spices, butter, and lemon and after tasting it, I was repulsed. How can something actually taste like an aquarium? I'm not sure, but this is how my kids explained it. We LOVE shrimp, but this was NASTY. No one wanted it and I had to throw $16 down the drain.I will never in my life buy seafood from Stop and Shop again, no matter how desperate I am for a last minute dinner decision.

Shame on this store. The commercial saying u will take things back. Is false. None goes there its too expensive. But i did. I wont EVER AGAIN.who saves a receipt duscusted. Lost a customer n alot of $$ i spent each week.

Fish area usually smells bad and I I've been to a few stop and shops but area always stinks. No dates on some of the meats... just packed meat. Had to return a couple of times because the meat was bad.

The last time I came here was a decade ago and everything was exactly where I remembered it was, thank you for that. The robot rolling around was eerie no matter how smiley the face is.

They always have what I need. The store is always clean. The staff is friendly and helpful. The food is wonderful. So much of it. Enjoy your travels to stop and shop to enjoy your time there shopping.

Have been buying my produce for years here I got all my Easter vegetables here the potatoes were so bruised when peeling there was nothing left had to use them its all I had once cooked they tasted weird also got my butternut squash from there and that had no flavor, I peeled it myself it was not the ready pealed , Such a disappointment ruined my meal. I will not go back for any fruits or vegetables again So very disappointed

I like this store for their fresh produce and well stocked items. I shopped on Saturday, March 4th, and purchased a roast at the checkout, Sydney and Jennifer let me know my purchase includes free items. Brittany placed my order on hold, and Jennifer retrieved the items for me. I was overwhelmed with the customer service I received. Thank you

Bakery is really disappointing. Sloppy cakes. Not too friendly staff. $41 for a cake that was not fully covered with frosting as described. It was a strawberry shortcake with very little strawberries. It was for a graduation. We did not have time to get another.

New self checkout system total debacle. Bringing your own bag not easy either. Register shuts down. Entire bagging area is now a scale. The register allows you to move bags to carriage once background changes. Not easy. Not efficient. They don't trust us. Employees not always there. I moved to another register. If you are buying just a few things may be easy. I was trying to buy a watermelon among other items.Update: I must say this store did have the unusual item I wanted to purchase so very happy didn't have to order it. This store IS STILL NOT DOING THE RIGHT THING and opening the longer lanes for self service. The smaller checkout group area is still not easy to use. And the clerk constantly had to assist customers trying to check themselves out. She had to help me twice....I see a lot of investment around the store - new coolers and freezers. More organic produce now that the produce area has been renovated and expanded. Prices are so high though.

I hate this store. The self checkout is a joke if you have more than 10 items. Take something off the platform before everything is scanned and it freezes. Then you have to wait for a person that is trying to do a dozen things at once. Plus prices are high , I need to use their stupid card to get sales items ..............

Complete remodel done here. Lots of new items, shelves were stocked, and it was very clean. Prices increased some like everywhere else, but it's great to get back to my local store. Now to learn where everything is.... It's nice to see progress!

This one of the few good Stop and Shops left. Stop and shop has gone down hill in so many areas. Especially with regards to produce. If you like mold on your strawberries after 3 days this is the place for you. This doesn't happen at Shaws and Dave's so clearly they buy inferior produce, but this one is a bit different and I find this one to have their produce manager on top of this and they are doing a good job restocking. Their Deli team is great. The small dark haired woman is wonderful and always happy to see me. She always has gloves on and is happy. I am glad to see this Stop And Shop caring a little more than the other 2 I have frequented often. Only draw back I can think of with this one is they need to do a better job rotating stock in the guacamole, hummus and spreads sections as there is often bad dates in that area of the store. Otherwise keep up the good work S&S. Always be one of the good Stop and Shops, still left out there. ****Update the new gentleman in the Deli that I have not seen there in my many visits was awesome and had an amazing attitude. Great hire !! Love the attitude!

I get my prescriptions here. I just couldn't see switching it. I hardly shop there except for things I can't get at my other choice stores or for some sale items, bc they charge more than other stores do on most items.

The red headed girl with a face scar in self checkout was really rude. I asked for a price on an item that was on display in the self check out area without a price tag . The girl said she didn't know with a snarky attitude.I scanned the product while I was checking out to get the price myself and she had to removed it because I didn't want it. She yelled at us to never do that again. I know her job is not pricing the items in the store BUT customer service is! I will never shop at stop and shop again. That store doesn't care about customer service. Prices are high and I'm spending my money in their store I expect good customer service. I was not asking her to do anything ridiculous but to check a price . Walmart is a stone throw away and much cheaper , i'll be going there from now on . There is a lot of competition out there for grocery stores so customer service should be good or people will take their hard earned money elsewhere .

Tried calling today to speak with someone in customer service. I allowed the phone to ring 15 minutes...no lie. Not a single person picked up. Has anyone else noticed that the shelves are empty...nothing. This is early morning and late at night. No change. I can't believe it is the supply chain issues. Do you just not have the employees to stock your shelves? How do you handle your Pea Pod accounts with no products. Market Basket in Johnston is packed front to back on shelves. Lots of happy employee. No gaps, plenty of EVERYTHING! Meats, produce, frozen goods, bread...everything! Pleas explain that to me.

I ordered a cake from delivery. Says it's in stock online still even after I ordered and was told it's out of stock. Sounds like laziness on the part of the person collecting the groceries. Guess my son doesn't have his cake for his birthday.Ordered chicken wings from peapod the last 6 times. Finally got some. Charged much more than usual and got half the amount of wings. Though somehow still the same weight but about half the amount. Awful quality too. I threw a few out they were so bad. Stop scamming people

Online ordering is absolutely atrocious. Most orders I've placed with them wind up with a number of items that they say aren't in stock. My last order I ordered 36 items and a whopping 19 of them were not in stock. My order was placed about 4 hours before I picked it up and yet the website apparently didn't have an updated stock and let me order them. They made 6 substitutions for the 19 out of stock items, yet 4 of them never made it to my bag. I had to call the store to get a refund for the items I was charged for but didn't receive. They need to do much better. A bad S&S experience is getting worse by the month.Go somewhere else people!!

Was able to get almost everything we went in for. Had a fair amount of items to choose from, as well as different variations of days products. The people were helpful, and could answer questions, even if they had to go and find out the answer, or going to go see if they have any in another location or in the back. Clean store, and had registers open, whether manned, or self checkout.

Store was nice and clean. But I went at nightParking lot was dark minimal lightingI felt unsafe walking to my car and putting in groceries while trying to watch no one approached me. As there was guys hanging around talking in the dark lotI won't be going after work again I will find a store with lighted lot to do my shopping

This particular Stop and Shop store has always, in the past, seemed sort of seedy to me, but not today. I've avoided it for years, but what a difference today! Today it was well-lit, well-stocked and well-staffed. I found exactly what I was looking for, which was difficult, but staff were extremely helpful. The store is organized well and check-out took very little time. A very good, very happy experience.

Love the staff here, the store is always clean, and always well stocked...i go all days of the week at different times and theres smiling staff all over stocking and ready to help find anything you may need help with (still cant find my brain though😅) great job team!!

Clean inside but parking lot is often strewn with trash and dimly lit for anyone shopping at night. Produce is hit or miss. As a union worker myself I often wonder why they don’t staff the checklines with more workers, leaving long lines that force you to use the self check. Oh well. Good sale items if you get to shop early. Overall not bad, just clean up the property and parking lot and get the produce a bit fresher. Never had an issue with customer service as there’s plenty around to help and stock.

My opinion you should never buy your gift cards from Stop & shop becausethey can’t retrieve the missing numbers on the activation receipt they give you .I spent a lot of time with the manager Steve at the north Smithfield store toretrieve #s that are missing. Although he said he would get back to me I havenever heard from him again.After a short wait the manager Steve did a great job in solving my problem.He took total control and fixed the gift cardproblem .
