The Lucky Dog is always such an amazing experience. You will with no doubt leave full and totally happy with everything you could get. My family and I have been here a handful of times and it is consistent in the quality of the food as well as the service. The space can get a bit cramped but the meal will distract you from that altogether. The escargot was a dream, the oysters were PHENOMENAL, the lobster was amazing, their swordfish Mozambique was also spectacular. Definitely add this to your list of MUST GO’S you will not regret it!!!!

I cannot say enough good things about this restaurant. EVERYTHING exceeded expectations. We didn't have a reservation but they squeezed us in with the condition that we could finish up within an hour. I'm so happy we agreed. Our waitress (sorry I don't remember your name) was efficient, intuitive and friendly. The food was absolutely amazing. We started with stuffed mushrooms and the seafood sampler. Both were fresh and delicious. Our entrees were prime rib and steak tips. The prime rib was cooked perfectly, melted in your mouth and had incredible flavor! The same can be said for the steak tips. We ended our evening with the bread pudding and again it was amazing. All of this was accomplished in 1 hour and I never felt rushed. I will definitely return because there are so many items on the menu that I'd love to try but it'll be difficult not to order the same thing again. Great job Lucky Dog!!!

Food - the quality is outstandingService - above and beyond. We were a party of 10, they were able to accommodate us on a Thursday night. Our server Lily was amazing! the energy she had was amazing, we wanted to give her a round of applause after she was done naming the specials. Great place.

First of all the service here is some of the best I’ve had. Period. Don’t let the Tavern in the name throw you. This is a first class restaurant that is highly praised, with a loyal local following. Yes, reservations are recommended. We were lucky to get a seat at the bar. Now, you would think bar service might be less- than but it was the absolute best. Gary was the most personable, poised, and efficient server I’ve had in years. Maybe ever. He also had a teammate behind the bar that was just as friendly. Now the food- this is some incredible food. The sauce on the calamari made the whole dish. My husband had a stuff lobster entree that was not only delicious but incredibly beautiful. We went big on the meal because we were celebrating our anniversary. Yes, you guessed it-dessert too.

Went here at 3pm on a Friday afternoon. They get busy quick. If you don’t want to sit at the bar, you have to call for a reservation. We sat at the bar, servers were attentive and very informative. For drinks we ordered red sangria and a couple beers. Pretty good. We ordered RI calamari for apps, giant rings but no tentacles (which are my favorite part) but still good. Wish it was more tender but the flavors were perfect- crispy batter, buttery, and the zesty peppers were delightful. For the maine course we had swordfish mozambique and surf and turf. The fish came with mashed potatoes, grilled asparagus and two big shrimps. The steak had two lobster claws and two shrimps. Both meals were cooked to perfection. The Mozambique sauce was excellent! Steak was tender. Seafood tasted fresh. The food here is well worth the money. Big portions and leftovers were still great the next day Lol.Cant wait to be back!

What an incredible little gem tucked away in North Smithfield. The food was impeccable, the service was top tier, the drinks were delicious, and the atmosphere was cozy.Plenty of menu options to choose from, with multiple chef specials to boot. I chose a special the day we went - Pasta Davina. Generous portions, and priced fairly. I would go again in a heart beat, and can't wait to bring family and friends to this spot in the future!Dietary restrictions: A person in our party had a shellfish allergy - they accommodated this without hesitation

One of our favorite hidden gems. The food, service, and people are all amazing. The only thing we wish we could have as an improvement was a location closer to our home. Whenever we are in the area, we try to visit and are never disappointed. Whether it's the specials, lobster bisque, or the Portuguese Steak, you honestly cannot go wrong. If I could give Lucky Dog 10 stars, I would!

Excellent meal and birthday celebration this past Sunday. The interior is beautifully decorated. The waitress was very attentive and personable ( I wish I remembered her name), and they all worked as a great team helping to serve all tables. My wife and I spared no expense with apps, drinks, entrees and dessert. I stuck with the more Portuguese-inspired items while my wife went for more American fare. The poutine and Portuguese clams were incredible. My steak was cooked perfectly and the cinnamon roll cannoli bread pudding ( with birthday candle) was one of the best desserts we've had before. We took home leftovers of almost everything but the dessert, as the portions were more than generous. We will definitely be back soon.

First time at Lucky Dog Tavern was ona busy Friday night. Restaurant is cozyand seats about 50 people. The barseating was occupied and the waittime for a table was approximately 45minutes. We stood near the bar andhad a glass of wine and martini whilewe waited. After about 15 minutes, two bar stools opened so we sat at thebar. We started with a charcuterie board and flappers, then steak and scallops special and clams with linguine. Both appetizers were quite filling and most of the entrees went home in a Togo box. Overall the food wasgourmet, service friendly and not tooexpensive.

Worst experience I have had at a restaurant. I have been to many in my life, but never who I thought they were better than their customers. Had a reservation for 4, 2 of us arrived on time, but were reluctantly sat and told we had to be out in 1 and half hours. The other 2 people in our party were delayed due to traffic, but we were having appetizers and drinks while waiting. The other 2 finally arrived and we ordered our meal. The manager showed up at our table about 5 minutes later to tell us that we had to take our dinners as take-out. He said we would not be able to eat in time, there were other guests waiting for our table. If you look at the room there were 2 tables empty and room at the bar. I am not sure why certain patrons are more important than others. I have been here before and the food is OK, it is not something I would actually wait for. The steaks are not great quality. I am not sure why they would treat customers in this way and with all the great restaurants in RI, this is not a great business model. Needless to say I will not be going back and will tell my friends to stay away, many more options with better food

The drinks were great and very refreshing. The Tuna Tatake & Crab-Scallop-Lobster Cake appetizers were outstanding. We had the stuffed Lazy Mans Lobster & Salmon Oscar for entrees. They were all fantastic. They ran out of the potato croquette for the salmon so had to substitute mixed vegetables, so that was disappointing since I heard so much about them. The service was very good and certainly above what you would expect in a place like North Smithfield, RI....but saying that and re-reading that only brings to light how these non-city restaurants are giving you service, food, and experience that you could only get in the city. This place is so very downtown Boston worthy, if not above it because you get a friendly welcoming feeling not only from staff but also from other diners. In closing these small town establishments are stealing the show and worthy of the drive from the city to their warm and welcoming doorway. I will be making many more visits here.Parking: Very easy parking.Kid-friendliness: Definitely not a place for kids.Wheelchair accessibility: Yes.

Have visited here a few times now and never dissapoints. Bring a big appetite and get ready for some amazing flavors and outstanding drinks. The passion ownership has truly shines through. The first time here, had tried to get in but very popular. Nice bar that fits about 15 . Nice selection of beer and wine and very nice crowd to hang with. Food was outstanding and so was the service. Small cozy place to go and I recommend reservations. Prices are very good, app lunch and 4 beers $ 58.00. Going to be our new favorite place, just have to figure out best times to go.

Stumbled upon this place from a Google maps suggestion. We were not disappointed. Service was fantastic, food was flavorful and plentiful. We enjoy several items. The Tavern Poutine was amazing, duck, tater tots, brown gravy and curd. The flavor composition was incredible. Our entrees were as beautiful as they were tasty. We certainly boxed things up, and dove into dessert. The vanilla creme brulee, gluten free chocolate lava cake, and the coconut bread pudding were amazing! My three friends and I meet up once a month for dinner and we were not disappointed. We are looking forward to exploring more of the menu in the next few months.

1st visit to Lucky Dog and we were extremely satisfied. The tavern atmosphere, waitstaff, bartender, food was all amazing and all surpassed our expectations. Friendly, prompt service from all. Started with Portuguese Calamari that was killer; perfectly prepared with intense flavors and top ingredients. I had the St Louis Rib Rack and she had the Sirloin strip - both cooked to perfection (sauces and seasoning spot on). Btw, BEST Corn Bread you will ever have (toasted). They provide a temperature chart so we are talking the same language with regards to steak prep. Went to hostess to book my seating for today and can’t wait. Thinking Oysters Rockefeller (people next to us had and said the best they’ve ever tried) and Lamb Chops!!! Spent most of my life in food Mecca’s San Francisco and New Orleans and Lucky Dog is right up there with the best….

Since it's a tavern which makes it a little quirky, I'm holding back one star for atmosphere. But the staff and food were incredible! We sat at the bar and were served by the Bar Tenders. They knew so much about the food! Also, the specials were so tantalizing. We will be back! Just incredible!!Dietary restrictions: The chef and staff can work around many dietary limitations. They want their customers to have an amazing experience.

Holy sh$t!!!!!! I think this is the best restaurant I’ve been to, unbelievable food Extremely high quality, large portions and prices are affordable.I got their Tavern Style Poutine ($13) and the Bad Dog Burger ($15).Their poutine sauce was so rich with amazing flavors and using homemade tater tots as the base worked great. The burger was just sinful. An 8oz patty topped with pastrami, aioli, onion strings, and all on a soft bolo bun. It was a big burger and the pastrami was out of this world!!Also, their chicken wings/flappers are bomb! Super crispy, juicy and their Thai peanut sauce was legit. (6 pc is $14).They have a big menu, but I know everything is on point. Check this place out, they are next level!!

1st time here. We didn't like how they wrote the time we had to leave on the table. We eat at a lot of different restaurants and this was a first. Our service at first was impeccable but slowed down after we ordered our food. The food was good too and the portions were generous.

Our new favorite place! Amanda was our server to our table of 8! She was very attentive, great personality, excellent waitress. She didn't miss a beat. through our entire dinner!! When it was time for my sisters cake, she noticed my mother wasn't at the table, and waited until we were all there to bring it out . She even asked us if we wanted to order for someone at home before closing us out. Sara, in the kitchen, is simply amazing! The food was out of this world delicious. We even joked that we were at a 6 Star restaurant. The owners should know that they hired 2 top notch employees when it comes to Sara and Amanda. We will definitely be back, and definitely telling our friends about Lucky Dog Tavern!

I am sooo pleased about my meal that I had to let you all know to check this place out! We started off by getting two dozen oysters on the half shell, locally sourced from Rhode Island and Massachusetts. The oysters were so meaty and flavorful with a slight salty undertone. I always put a little Tabasco, horseradish, cocktail sauce and lemon juice on them. What do you put on your oysters? The Classic Escargot were perfectly tender, baked with garlic parsley butter. I paired each of mine with the cute, buttered toast that it came with. Chocolate Fudge Layer Cake to end our meal and what a perfect ending! Each bite was a mouthful of decadent chocolate frosting and moist chocolate cake. One of the best chocolate cakes I’ve had in a long time. Please check this place out ♥️

Not our first time at Lucky Dog. I vaguely remember a limit on table seatings, not a fan, especially when we waited almost 20 minutes for one appetizer and then we were rushed to order meals being reminded there is a time limit! Not a comfortable or relaxed dinning experience, especially when you have the manager looking at your table and her watch simultaneously , very unprofessional. There are many small restaurants all over and I have never had an experience as uncomfortable. Your food is good, but unfortunately I may not be returning.

I had a wonderful dinner here last night with friends. I definitely will be back. Lilly, who was our waitress, did an exceptional job. She listened very carefully to my allergies and made sure I had something I could eat. She also came and checked on us at least 4-5 times which is very professional and nice. Most restaurants I have been to lately you only see the wait staff when ordering and paying for the meal, and you don’t feel like going back to see that waiter, but I would totally go back and see Lilly! There was a person always filling your water and they never let it get halfway down your glass. The service was fantastic and the host was wonderful as well. The food was delectable. We had a the charcuterie board with a fine selection of cheeses, fig jam, toasty bread, specialty meats, and pickled items. Along with that we had the grilled cheese with braised beef that melted in your mouth. The fish tacos were splendid with the array of different toppings you could add yourself from Cole slaw to guacamole! The salad was very nice and crispy. And we finished it all off with the espresso crème brûlée, and that, that was the most fantastic, mouthwatering dessert I have had out at a restaurant in a long time! We will definitely be back! Special thanks to the chef who worked around my garlic allergy to make sure I could enjoy dinner too!
