I brought my dog Phoebe a Pomeranian here a few months ago for a bath and nail trim. Everything went well, staff was nice and reasonably priced!I brought her here again last week, Thursday April 2nd @12:30.I have not cut my dogs hair for three years, because i wanted to grow out her beautiful long hair like every Pomeranian should have.I explained in detail to the two staff members (i remember exactly what they look like) what i wanted and what is expected. They said, "ok so not length cut off right?" i said correct. i told them NOT to touch her tail. I also told them to NOT use straight edge scissors only the thinning scissors to shape her and trim the stragglers that were longer than the rest of her body. Told them paw pads yes cut of course, and her butt hole.I even showed them a picture of what i wanted!!!i picked my dog up and she was shaved, and botched. They must have used a razor and 100% used straight edge scissors and NOT the thinning scissors. They CUT her tail when i specifically told them not to.i am not sure if one of the employees i talked to took care of her or she passed my dog onto someone else but clearly they did not understand what i wanted or communicated this to staff memeber who was grooming her. When i explained in DETAIL EXACTLY what was expected from them, they did THE COMPLETE OPPOSITE.I am disappointed, sad and mad. They ruined my dogs fur that i was growing and tamed for three years.It is not about the money, it is the fact that they did the complete OPPOSITE of what i asked for. I am writing this review so other people see this and know what to expect from this business.i paid and tipped before they gave me my dog, i saw her and walked out crying. That is why i did not say anything there and then because of how frustrated and sad i was.i left a voicemail a few hours later during operation hours. Never heard back so a week later i am writing this review.I pray another person does not go in there expecting one thing and having their dog come out a different looking dog!!I can't add her photos here but they are on Yelp.

They did a great job with my very furry double coated Keeshond. They knew enough not to shave her when I needed a new groomer when my old one moved or if the places shaved her under her neck they had been requested to leave an area her invisible dense collar could reach. You can't shave a double and it's never grown back right. So we tried this place and they spent 4 hours getting her dense coat all cleaned up and it was wonderful to see her skin again! They even put some bows in her hair and gave her pigtails even though my husband made me take them out because he says she isn't a bow kinda dog!

I have had my labradoodle groomed here several times. Each time, the grooming/ pickup times shifted from 3 to 4-5 hours! This last time, they said the reason for the delay was that an employee went home sick, but I suspect they mis-booked again because when I dropped off my dog, the girl at the desk had no entry for our appointment. Each time, I requested hypoallergenic shampoo and conditioner because my dog has skin sensitivities. Each time, he has come home with a perfumed smell, and this last time, his itching was so bad, we had to give him Benadryl.This is really a management issue: they don’t write down grooming specifics and have too many pets booked for available staff. Do better!

After months of trying to find a good grooming for our puppy's weird coat, we were beyond ecstatic with how grooming tails handled her and how she came out. Absolutely 100% recommend this wonderful establishment if you're at a loss on where to bring your special friend. Great job, great price friendly atmosphere. Over wonderful 😊.

Last 2 times I brought my dog here in a row I dropped him off before 11 am and they dont have him ready until closing, over 7 hours?!?! He's 65lbs not a horse! Both times they gave me excuses, we're short a worker, someone went home sick. Blah blah blah. I usual tip 20-30 bucks I am a great customer. One time he got a buzz cut that I didn't ask for. I still tipped and didn't complain. It took months before he looked good again. I gave them the benefit of the doubt, everyone gets a mulligan. Never again! This time I called at 2pm to check in and see how much longer. They said another hour or 2. I show up at 5pm they tell be it's gonna be another hour and sprinkle in a few excuses. I'm ticked off and write this review in their parking lot it's 6pm and still no call. They over book, they probably can only handle half the dogs they groom per day. Greedy groomers is what it should be called. For what they charge, go somewhere else is all I can say. There will be no tip for this grooming. Hostage lasted from 1045am until 630pm, does that seem right to anyone with a brain?

My Max has been going here for many years and now my Nala which is our new member to my family. I love how they love my Dogs they are so patient and nala come home with little matching bows to her scarf and my max comes out soooo white with a cute scarf the scarf usually matches what ever holiday we have in the month if not then the color of the season 😆 they both smell soooo good and the smells last a while. I travel way from Coventry so that itself tells you they are my fav.

It's always a pleasure to see my dog after they have groomed him. They do a good job every time. No regrets. Actually....my only regret is that it's cash only and most of the time I forget that & they end up with all the cash I have in my pocket and typically not even enough to leave a tip.

We adopted Molly only a week ago and she came to us with a extremely matted coat. Brought her into Grooming Tails for the earliest appt to get the whole spa treatment. They did a beautiful job on her... Looked like a completely different puppy. Thank You So Much!!!Wish I could post a picture!

Very happy. Staff is accommodating and pleasant. They are willing to listen to our needs for the dogs' grooming and get the job done. Also added a personal touch at the end with some hair bows, bandanas, and a treat bag to go. Price is reasonable, too. The personal service beats the big box stores any day.

My dog always comes back and smells beautiful. Because he's a small dog and has hypoallergenic hair he really only has to be groomed once a month, he smells great all month-long. As well as they give us a haircut, that is fit to your specific dogs type and hair type. The girls are very friendly and they can take you last-minute. Well worth the money!!

They do an amazing job! Friendly and mindful staff that really love what they do. It shows in their work and the way they treat you and your pup. My two boys Australian shepherds look and feel sooo good when they are done, that I get excited about bringing them there. I highly recommend them, you won’t be disappointed.

I don’t think I’ll ever bring my dog back here. I brought him in for a bath only. Did not ask them to trim his face and they did. They shaved the bridge of his nose and around his eyes. To me it looks terrible. Really upset because I’ve asked every other time I have brought him there for them not to trim his face at all. The woman made me feel like it was my fault because I didn’t tell them not to. But I have never been to a groomer that trims faces for a bath only appointment. Very disappointed and unhappy. Never again.

They did an awesome job with our Ozzie he came back looking more like a husky than a Pomsky. They de-shed quite a bit of him. Almost 3.5 hours it took, but it was worth the wait.

I hate to leave a bad review anywhere, but I was genuinely concerned for my pet here. When I dropped her off as a new client, no one asked anything about my dog (did not ask for vaccination history or allergies). When I picked her up, i noticed when we got home that both of her eyes had damaged blood vessels, and the left eye was squinted. I also noticed that the dogs are kept in kennels here rather than playpens. The haircut was good. I won't be bringing my dog back here though.

I have a 5 year old chihuahua who is super temperamental when it comes to having her paws touched and nails cut I’m assuming due to past trauma before I had her, and this is the only place who isn’t afraid to cut her nails. We put a muzzle on her and I hold her while they cut her nails. Never takes more than 10 minutes and it’s $10 so worth it. They also always take me even when I just walk in I’m never waiting to get them done. They’re also so friendly despite me having a dog that is so unpredictable when it comes to her paws and nails Being touched they completely understand why she’s like that and never refuse to do them!

If I could give zero stars I would. I have gone there several times in the past and was pleased until last night. Apparently the person who was doing my two golden retrievers is on maternity leave and the Owner did my dogs yesterday. I dropped them off at 12:30 at 6:40 I called to check since it was so late, I was told they'd be ready in 20 min. I headed down and waited another 15-20 min. Meanwhile they took my check for $165 for 2 Goldens (which is on the high side). But I had been previously happy. They took out dog #1 and I couldn't believe it, He was not groomed, only bathed. I inquired and was told that he was bathed and dried and his paws done. I said I asked for bath and trim. I saw the notes on the counter in the appointment book. The intake girl wrote exactly what I asked for. Another girl came out asking me what I wanted etc. I started to get upset then she called another women out and asked her to come talk to me (turns out the owner). She said, well he has alot of fur! I said I know that's why he needs a trim and its what I asked for. No apology, just attitude. I said I want a breed standard Golden Retriever cut. Neither dog was trimmed. They charged me $82.50 for a bath that took over 7 hours!!! She took them back and did the choppiest half a*** cut. Mind you I already paid the minute I walked in to pick them up without even seeing them. (my mistake) The nice girl who took my dogs in the afternoon apologized and said next time,.... I told her there will be no next time I am never coming back. What infuriates me the most is the owner NEVER apologized, never came out from the back the minute I was not satisfied and never came out from the back to make sure I was happy with the finished results. Shouldn't you want your customers to leave happy? Sorry for the long post but I can't even put into words how upset I am. My poor dogs ended up being there for over 8 hours by the time we actually left. NEVER bring your dog here.

They are the most caring and kind to my pets. I've been taking my fur babies there for almost 20 years. Excellent with my nufie/aussie Shepard mix. She comes out like a new woman and prances cause she knows she looks great!

I am so happy I found Grooming tails! My pup Felix looks amazing! Thank you to the talented and caring ladies who handled him. He is a very tiny nervous dog and he came out fluffy, beautiful and happy. 5 stars!!!

We just moved and wanted to find a closer place to take our Australian Shepard/Poodle. They got her in quickly and were all very nice. She looked great after. I will definitely fo back and would recommend.

They always cut my dogs hair just perfect. I started going to them because a friend recommended them and they were close. Even though they moved a little further away, I don't mind the drive. It is so worth it.

Absolutely the best place we have ever gone with our dog. We have a Great Dane and she can be a handful but this place treats our dog like royalty and our dog usually fusses at the groomer but not hear she love it here

Have been taking my dog here for years. I am always happy with their work and my dog gets really excited when she gets there so I guess that’s a good sign lol. Would recommend this place to everyone great staff and great work.

They gave my dog razor burn next to his private parts and told me it can be a rash. Also said that they always cut the sensitive parts first so there's no way he could have gotten burned. Dont take you dogs here. My boy ended up with scars from the burn. It took 2-3 weeks to go away fully.
