Graphic warning! Went into the shop back in July, and came across this half decayed, half eaten leopard gecko, along with two emaciated little ones. This store seemed like they were trending up after all the terrible rumors I heard. Clearly not!! How would you not notice it’s been dead for so long the bones are showing!! Imagine doing business with a place this rotten! I wish I could give 0 stars… Shameful!

This place is absolutely amazing. The staff is very knowledgeable and for once it was really nice going into a pet shop and not being ripped off or having people trying to finagle you for your last dollar. This place is NOT all about money and they really care about the animals.Side note..the variety of animals is insane...you need it they more than likely have it... Including live bait ... Love this place and cannot wait to go back in a few days for more food for my banana fire ball python (that I got from here as well)😍😘

My 6 year old has wanted a bearded dragon for a few months now and everyone I found online (an owner not store) wanted alot to re-home their pet and sell everything with it... So my husband ended up getting an amazing deal on everything we needed plus a beardie 💕 my son was so surprised and loves him so much! We still have to name him tho

Purchased 30 Koi for my large natural pond. It's been 2 weeks and we only lost 1.I will definitely return for more. The owner Jim is very patient, friendly, knowledgeable.

Great deal on tarantulas. I got 2 new spiders at a good price and one cane with a glass enclosure. I love this place. Friendly and always ready to provide feeder bugs and more tarantulas! Love the new African specie they sold me. Heterascodra maculata

Okay, this pet store is very good and better than most other pet stores such as pet-co and pet-smart. They have a wide variety of different animals from giant parrots to tiny frogs. Most of the pets there are taken care of very well and will usually survive a pretty long time. This store also has reasonable prices for relatively rare animals too. The only issue is that some of the fish enclosures are kept very dirty. But besides that I would recommend shopping here.

Pets are very sickly looking at this shop. Also you are not supposed to cohab bearded dragons in a small tank. This place used to be good but all the pets look very sick and sad.

I thought the people were great, it didn't stink like some pet shops. And the animals looked well taken care of. We purchased 2 rats for our rat to have friends and so far so good. Bringing them in for a well check tm cuz one was sneezing. UPDATE. had the rat 2 weeks and it died. Be careful

BEST hidden gem pet store! The best animals you could dream of and you get to be so up close and personal with ALL of them! The people who work there are so nice, knowledgeable, helpful, kind, and relaxed! Once when shopping for a hamster I got the opportunity to walk around the store with him before I had decided! Which was super helpful in learning its personality 🙂Highly recommend! And definitely my favorite pet store!

Fabulous selection. Fish, birds, small mammals. Very knowledgable. Great prices. A pleasure to be there and walk around. I would recommend this actual PET STORE toanyone who loves animals. It's almost a zoo. Privately owned and managed.I have had tropical fish since I was 10. This week I had a difficult problem setting up a tank. The owner, Jim, went out of his way to help.Goodbye to Pet Smart and Petco!

When I went to This shop the majority of animals were laying in/with feces and urin like the large snakes specifically. The overall cleanliness of the shop was nothing more than discussing, the smell is understandable for the amount of animals but the conditions most of the animals were in were either too packed or unclean. The hamster and rabbit cages are open allowing any small child or adult to cause injury or stress to them. one of the fat tailed geckos in particular that I saw was very thin along with a large bearded dragon kept in a cage about the same size scratching and climbing the dirt for it, as-well as a hole on the cage itself to open it but it’s big enough for a kid to stick its fingers in. The amount of animals I saw underweight or in to small of housing was terrible. I only write this for the awareness of the conditions these animals are kept in and to keep from other potential buyers from spending there money here.

I have been here a few times. Everytime I go, there are at least 10 dead fish around the store in the tanks. The fish look sickly and the tanks are not clean. Compared to other aquarium shops around, this one definitely does not keep up on maintenance as much as they should. I purchased 2 very skinny pea puffer fish from here. Unfortunately 48 hours later one of them passed away. They also have rabbits for sale that are extremely matted. It is very sad that the animals are not getting the care they need at this store.

I got a guinea pig here and while I was walking around I checked a lot of the animals out, the teddy bear hamsters are breeds that are not meant to be kept together and well of course they are at this high quality place, they have cut marks and blood all on their skin beneath the fur. This also applies for the guinea pigs, guinea pigs are very social animals but when kept in such a small inclosure they will fight. I picked up a guinea pig earlier this week and when I brought him home I took a good look at him, he has a peice of his ear chewed off, patches of hair ripped off with scabs underneath along with blood on her neck and behind her ears! This place is absolutely disgusting and they should be shut down until they can figure out how to actually care for an animal!

I just can't believe anyone gave this place a 5 start review. I stepped foot in there once by myself a couple of years ago and walked immediately back out completely disgusted. I was driving by with my husband recently and decided to check it out thinking maybe I was too harsh.... I was not harsh enough!!! I would put a fish I found in a dank puddle in my tanks before I would buy a fish from this store. They aren't breeding fish. They are breeding disease.

I love this place! They treat there animals very well until they get adopted. They help you choose a pet that's good for you. I've adopted many fish there and 1 hamster, wich lasted 3 years at my house and she was full grown there.

The store looked great, and it was organized and clean and they had a variety of beautiful animals in the store. Employees were so nice and so helpful I really appreciated their advice and customer service I am I’m going to make this my go to pet store. Thanks guys!

Stopped in to get supplies for our new tortoise and the gentleman was so kind and ran us through the set up necessities and what was more cost effective and best bang for our buck! Will be frequenting for the upkeep of our tortoise!!

I got a rabbit from them and he died within a week. Then I gave him back because he died quickly and the second one died in two days. I know how to take care of rabbits because I've been taking care of them my whole life. The cage was clean, new food and bedding so I know it wasn't me. The place looks like it's falling apart and there are fly traps in the birds cage. I'm sorry but I wont be coming back.

The new owner is so not cool, I miss the old workers they were so kind. There is this girl in the reptile room and my 9 yr old brother came and he was looking at a snake and the girl who worked there opened the gate to the door and touched my brothers belly saying that the snake will eat him. My mom started talking to the lady about my snakes and she told her I had 4 snakes the the girl said," Oh yeah? Well I have 9 snakes!" And tried to make everything my mom said a competition and she crushed my dreams on breeding snakes. Then when we tried to buy crickets and mice my mom's card declined and then the owner said that my mom's card was not working so we had to go to a ATM to get cash and when we tried to pay he overpriced the price because we made him wait even though his cash register wasn't working. So now I go to a new pet store because of this a other problems.

My daughter and I stopped by to get some snails for our fish, all the tanks were disgusting, dead fish in most of them. Frozen fish food was freezer burned. After walking around a little, we noticed how truly disgusting this place actually was, animals looked sick, too many to an enclosure, and a few that should never even be for sale (illegal to own in RI) I don’t know how this place is open and not shut down by the ASPCA! They are obviously do not respect nor care for animals. Left us both heartbroken.

Purchased a marbled salamander. Very healthy and active and ate the second a cricket was in front of him. One of the workers was very helpful and informative. One thing that bothered me was that they had multiple marbled salamanders in the same tank with a lizard that I couldn't identify. Besides that little bump everything was a nice road from there. I would put a photo but if your a amphibian keeper like me you'll know what I'm talking abt.

Jim is great!! A gentleman with much info on all creatures in his shop. He also has a new adventure room with more creatures he does such a great job in that shop with all the creatures he has I don't know how he keeps up with them all 😊😍 thank you Jim always a wonderful experience. I always leave your shop with a smile on my face.

Love this place. The owner and his 2 boy's were working and they were very knowledgeable and extremely helpful. They had an awesome selection of fish and small animals. Some rare beautiful creatures I had never seen before. Prices were great also. The owner bagged us up some snails and 2 freshwater plants to go with the 7 Polar Blue Parrot Cichlids we purchased. My son's and I travelled all the way from NH. We we're impressed and so happy we did. We will be back for sure.

Let me start by saying the owner was very nice and helpful for what we had went in for (Dubia Roaches) which are often difficult to get (alive) from local big box pet stores.Unfortunately, that was first and only positive of this store.We have 2 bearded dragons and a veiled chameleon and are very well educated on their necessary conditions and specific needs in order to live healthy lives.My fiancé left there almost in tears because of the living conditions of just their reptiles alone. Their bearded dragons that were fully grown(or close to it) had very obviously been aggressively mistreated and neglected, because, I assume, most people want young beardies and not full grown adults, which means they’re no longer worth taking the time to care for correctly. There were 3 adult bearded dragons in small glass tanks in almost pitch black conditions. They had outdated and ineffective UVB lighting (one dull bulb) and zero basking light, or any other light source available to them, in a room that has little to no light to begin with. There were no decorations or food with the exception of some old lettuce sitting on loose substrate. One of the dragons had black around his mouth a telltale sign of mouth rot. The conditions in the tank (according to their own sensors in the tank) were waaaay to humid for those animals, which leads to respiratory and bacterial infections. It was obvious they were all starting to show signs of MBD due to the incredibly dark conditions with little to no UVB. I wanted to save them so badly….we even looked at much larger enclosures the second we got home and started to discuss what we could do, and maybe, just maybe save one of them that wasn’t too far gone to offer it a good life here with us. While simultaneously do not want to support the sale of the poor things, knowing that another one will just end up taking its place.Anyways….I’m still disturbed by the whole situation, I truly wish I had snapped a few photos, because anyone who saw the situation these creatures were in, would be equally shocked and appalled. If you think this description sounds bad, I guarantee you, it’s so much worse in reality.I don’t know how they’ve not been shut down at this point by the ASPCA yet. I really don’t.
