The technicians were lovely and they did a good job grooming my dog who has been to Petco groomers multiple times, but upon this visit, I was informed that they think my pet is just too anxious to continue being serviced there and that unfortunately she would not be allowed back Which was upsetting to me because I’ve been a long time customer and pay for vital rewards in order to reap the benefits, and that was taken away from me

Carrie Mcclelland was very welcoming and warm. It was the first groom for my little Cavapoo and she made me feel calm and comfortable leaving him for his appointment. His cut came out beautifully and she explained how “we give the dog the time he needs” to get through any hard parts.. I was super appreciative about the experience!! Thanks to Carrie!

I bought my Leo a month ago he wasn’t at his best but with good dieting and care I got him up to be alert and ready now he’s the sweetest lil pal my daughter loves him, even tho with Petco giving out wrong info on them but if you get a good one their it’s a lucky charm. He’s very sociable likes to be handled and he love to relax on my shoulder

I appreciate our groomer Carrie. I believe she is the best dog groomer in New England, and all the Petco groomer teams do excellent work. I’m very happy, my poodle is looking great, and is a happy dog!

Nice place with a great selections. I like that I can get my dog groomed a la carte and shop while it's being done. Everyone here has always been helpful and friendly. Also love that I can take my pup in there with me 👍

I went to the North Main St location looking for water filters for my cats dish. Almost immediately an associate noticed I looked confused as I looked at filters she showed me what I was looking for. I had been also looking at some urinary products for cats, I told her about my my kitty Jewelia and did she know if the WELL GOOD Urinary Support product help her void more. She didn't know but would get someone who did, the manager (I believe) came and was more than will to help. I explained Jewelia issues with possible crystals in bladder and he said this will help the voiding and definitely worth the try. I also bought a new fountain water dish to make drinking more fun. This was last week and Jewelia is doing much better. Very attentive, knowledgeable and friendly staff at this Percocet always worth the trip.

Ordered on line after hours and paid with pay pal, when store opened and inventory not there my order was cancelled and pay pal credited and I was informed.I reordered at another store with great results.Very friendly employees.

I've had my dogs nails clipped at Petco twice before. I show up for a 3rd time and the woman said they didn't have his rabies paperwork in the system. I think they just didnt feel like doing it or they didnt save the rabies paperwork but I doubt it since I've been there twice before. Just say we don't have time. No need to lie.

I stopped here to buy treats from a Providence Petco to bring home for my cats. They told me they taste the same as every other Petco I've shopped for them. Their favorite is the 'Blue Wilderness' as the ingredients must be pretty good the way they devout that.I liked this store because the staff was so friendly and happy and didn't feel the need to follow me around asking if I need help.

Severely understaffed and don’t expect to get fish there. I’m speaking from at least two dozen experiences of fighting to find a person to help me.Yesterday I could only find one employee in the whole store and she was on the register with a line of 4 people at 630pm.In short, there’s better options a few miles away but they do have some okay selection, compared with the smaller pet stores. I’d rather drive to pet supplies plus or petsmart some days though, which is maybe only an extra 10 minutes.

The initial rep that was helping me and has been there for a while was as always pleasant. But a new girl who seemed like maybe a manager (light blue shirt) was just flat out rude. Rolling her eyes and over all acting like my purchase inconvenienced her. I shop at this store at least twice a week and spend quite a bit of money so was incredibly off putting. Will probably be shopping at pet smart from now on

Staff is always super friendly to us and our dog. Very willing to help and our first lvl 1 puppy training day went very well. Prices are a little higher than say amazon, but you get to see everything in person.

I brought my dog to the providence location for the first time. I picked him up and his nails weren't done, they were still dirty and long.I came back to talk to them, they gave me a attitude upon arrival. I said hi to one of the workers, she ignored me and just called the manager. When I manager came she didn't say hi or introduce herself and I had to do it. I explained my dog's nails weren't done. She looked at the receipt to see if I payed extra for nails. The package comes with nail filling. She looked at the front nails and said they were done because she witnessed it. My dog was moving too much, they had a hard time. The back nails were dirty like they were never filled. Yes! My dog has a hard time due to anxiety, many dogs have it and they should be able to care for them. She went on to lecture me about doing my own dog's nails. Honestly they have lost my business due to bad attitude and bad customer service. Learn to value your customer 's worries and validate them. Then try to help them instead of lecturing them. I will NOT return to this location!!!

The staff is friendly and the store is well organized. I found their prices to be high and not as competitive. You can get some of the same items there much less at Pets Supplies, Wal-Mart, etc. This location though is convenient given the plaza it's located in.

I brought my dog first time to this Petco I have been in a pet customer for one and a half years since my dog is three months old and I have never seen such a terrible service. First I told them how short I want and when I turn back four hours later they didn’t do it right I said OK it’s understandable please fix it and they try to fix it and after the fifth hour of my dog is getting groomed they cut her hair and her whole face and told me that she bites and they don’t want my dog.I have never seen my dog to bite or attempt to bite an animal a groomer normal human being they were clearly lying because they didn’t want to deal with my dog because she has anxiety and it was too much for them. instead they told me that they don’t want her. I got her hair cut every 3 months and this was the first time I have ever heard, I wouldn’t take my dog ever there. She is my everything and that would be the last thing that I would do that to her.

After have gone to this Petco location more than 2 dozen times in the last 3 months, I am under the firm belife that this location and it's workers are so fortunate it's located in one of the busiest and most successful complexes in the entire state of RI, because if they weren't, the doors would have been permanently closed here a while ago given my experiences and those of past reviews I have read as well.My experiences here are as followed:- My girlfriend and I got our first puppy in September, and we were so excited to bring him here and get a Petco card. After applying for my card, I went around trying to use it at other stores, only to find out the cashier we had entered our rewards card number wrong, and did not add my information to it, so since September, we have been in limbo with my card and information in the system. In this time, we have had trouble having our rewards credited and each location trying to find my info in the system. We have tried fixing it with stores and customer service 4 times to no avail. All because this Cashier at the Providence location rushed and didn't enter info correctly.- This location is exceptionally dirty. We have gone into this location with our dog only to have to pick him up out of fear of him eating pieces or broken plastic on the floor, kibble that is to hard and large for him to chew that leaked out of bags or spilled, and just random toys on the floor. To boot, the amount of times we have found pubbles of dog pee and poop stains on the floor left over is just disgusting.- The staff here is hit or miss. Some of them are nice and we'll informed, but there is a few here that just REALLY sour the experience. Fake smiles, bad attitudes, misinformation on certain puppy related events.We avoid this Petco as much as possible and only go here if we REALLY are in a pinch. I would not recommend this store to anyone.

Went to buy some fish today for a new tank and my husband and I were looking at fish for a half an hour and not a single employee asked us if we needed help. We had to track down an employee for assistance and she seemed aggravated that she had to help us. She didn't ask us if we had any questions or even offer us any advice. Terrible customer service. Super unprofessional.

Took my dog to get her shoots had to redo the rabies shot because her record from NY wasn't in their system, then got a package for her shot and was told to come back in a few weeks for a booster. When I took her for the booster waited in line for over an hour only to find out the booster was not part of the package which the employee should have told me before I got the package. Now I just take my dog to her regular vet much faster and better service

I received my dog awful. I didn’t want to short hair cut. No nails done. I didn’t want that they touch his tail. So disappointed.
