Awesome customer service at this location! Attentive staff, very helpful and have a genuine love of animals. We used the self service dog wash and the staff member went above and beyond to clean the stall before and after we used it, recommended the shampoo/conditioner and explained how the dryer worked. He also insisted on cleaning up an unexpected “accident” for us.

Groomed my lab here today for $10. Not only do they have everything you need, you can groom your pet here and avoid a mess at home.They even supply the shampoo , towels and blow drier!!! Staff very friendly and helpful.Ohhh and offers my dog a treat upon entering an leaving. Highly recommend going here. I will likely go back for dog food and supplies.

Interesting , they have some practical things you'd need for your pet and other things you might find interesting. Stop by and see for yourself. They have an area for bathing your dog , which is great if you rent and only have a small shower area and a mid- size dog. It's kept clean with supplies you can buy should you forget something (shampoo, brush, conditioner ect.) at home .

They have a great selection of pet foods, treats, accessories and specialty items at reasonable prices. They also have a self serve doggie wash station that makes it so easy to bathe any size pet. The staff is always friendly and very knowledgeable. I HIGHLY recommend them to anyone who has pets.

I take my dog roughly once a month here to do the self wash deal. For ten bucks you get all the supplies you need to wash and dry your dog. The best part is the staff do all the setup and clean up. The staff are super friendly and my dog always feels safe and welcome.

The staff is really nice they carry the little cap nip pillows my cats adore and the self dog wash is great!! Saves my back and my tub as I no longer have time to make it to the grooming shop owned by my friend and petsmart wanted $50- each dog petco was $60 both are 40lb very short haired not double coated and very well behaved. Takes all of 10 mins to wash them then 10 mins to blow dry them so in 45 minutes I shopped washed and dried both dogs picked put new collars and had new pink and purple tags made!!! Plus my cats were super happy to see 3 new favorite toys!!

Another wonderful place to get your pet needs. Maybe even give them a bath yourself. The staff were so helpful I was lost for wordsThe young lady who helped my brother was a gift from god with her knowledge and overall personal attitude to our fur babies needs.

This is a wonderful place to take your dog for a bath!Don't bathe your dog in your bath tub or shower listening to your creaking joints! Go to the Highland Ave store where 2 stone tiled steps lead to your choice of deep or not-so-deep bath tubs ( also of stone tile-not slippery !) .A leash restrains your little fur child while you adjust the just right temperature of the water and dampen your darling for a sudsy bath.Your choice of many shampoos, terry cloth towels , vinyl and terry aprons for you and treats for your fur baby are included in the minor cost of 10 bucks after you blow dry your darling.

I was really surprised by Pet Valu. I thought it was going to be another chain Petsmart or Petco, but it feels more like a mom & pop pet store. There are self dog wash stations in the left corner and as I was walking in, cats for adoption on the right. The store was clean and didn't have any funky smells. The prices were relatively fair and if you got a sale, you scored. The staff were kind and patient as well.I will definitely be back with my pooch in the future.

The manager of the store was so informative and helpful. Even asked about my dog to learn about what she might like as new food. I was t planning on changing brands but since everyone ofthe staff is a pet nutrionist I thought I'd give it a try. He even told me what to do if the food had an adverse affect if she had allergies. My dog LOVES her new food and sprints to it. I can't say enough good things about this place.

I can honestly not say enough great things about the employees at Pet Valu. The manager there, I believe named Mike, who has long hair, is amazing. He helped get rid of my dogs ear problems by switching up her food. It saved me so much in vet bills. They will even bring your purchases out to your car!

They would earn a five if they had a larger selection. This is the place where they have set up a bathing area for your kids. No bending over. I may have misspoken early, it may not be free but is very reasonable. You can use your own shampoos if yo wish but the do have some there for this purpose. This franchise could do very well with a groomer and larger selection. Health foods only will separate you from the Petcos and PetSmarts. Speaking if PetSmart, not sure who okay their promotion where you buy a bag of food and the will give a single pet a single meal. How about for every five bags sold you will donate a bag to the local shelter. Hell I've gone to Costco to buy ten bags, bleach and cleaning supplies just to drop it off at my local shelter.

Much better than the other stores close by, and they even recommended us some toys just on our description of our pets personalities. Already signed up for the (awesome) rewards program!

Different variety but pretty much same pricing as Petco and Petsmart although they do have this super cool tub where you can take your dog in and groom them yourself even using some tools and or products for only $10 Which is great if you have a big dog and not the space to wash them

The staff here is incredibly knowledgable. It is not like your big box store, the workers actually attend classes and seminars to learn about products and different type of issues dogs can have, and what is the best solution
