Definitely best grocery fried chicken in Rhode Island. $4.5 for 4 piece and $8 for 8 piece.Classic pressure cooker frying technique (similar to KFC’s original recipe chicken, rather than the crispy skin style from Popeyes).Nicely and thoroughly seasoned. Maybe not super crispy bc the chicken might be placed under heat lamp for several hours, but the overall texture is marvelous. The smell of the chicken is also insanely good.Note that there are other fried chicken available in this store and they are usually sold cold. I have tried those and they are not even close to this pressure cooker fried chicken. If the chicken does not smell incredible, then you are looking at the wrong product.

We were here today on an instacart order with some very specific items required, special cheeses. The guy in the area (bigger lighter skinned guy with a beard) was not only incredibly willing to help, but also able. He knew exactly where everything was without a second thought. Very impressed by his customer service. Great job.

I've been shopping here since before stop and shop bought it. I've had both good and bad experiences with Eastside.Today we were in the area and decided to get a few slices here and have them at Gano Park.We get to the counter and two people looked at us, neither made a move to help usWe left to get a few things and came back to the same situation. The woman said someone would help us, she wasn't doing anything. She pointed at a guy who then pointed at someone who we couldn't seeWe left without anyone coming to help us get pizza.My last time shopping here was today.Time stamped on receipt is 1:01 p.m.Cashier name starts with N.Mgr. Place has really gone downhill the last few years. Yesterday will probably be my last time shopping there. The first milk I went to grab had expired 5 Days earlier, never seen that before. The rotisserie chicken I got just wasn’t good. Quality here just isn’t the same.

Shockingly abundant selection of kosher food items - including (what I found most impressive) beef jerky. Overwhelming majority of baked goods are not yashan, but at least they're kosher between Passover and Rosh Hashanah (their kashrut certifications are otherwise reliable) - plus, the store does carry certified yashan challah rolls.

The assortment here is horrible. I really wish stop and shop would sell this store to a local independent. They have ruined what was a nice local supermarket. It is laughable they now charge 10 cents for bags.

This place has gone way down hill. Terrible customer service. Slowwww cashiers and ultra rude, miserable folks in the hot foods department. They look at you like you just ran over their favorite pet when you request a slice of pizza.Notice how they never respond to any of these bad reviews lol. Very telling.

Great market 👍 great selection of groceries, and a line of ethnic foods. Deli is great has everything. Nice meat department. Fish department. Nice salad bar, hot bar. Table's to sit at an eat. Coffee, pastry. Lottery tickets. Pay your utilities there. Very clean for the amount of traffic. Plenty of parking. Handicapped parking spots. Plus on a convenient bus route. Go check it out for yourself you won't be disappointed.. pleasant staff..

They have a huge selection of organic products rivaling Whole Foods. They have a much larger European cheese selection than Whole Foods.If you don't want to make Bezos richer by shopping at Amazon/Whole Foods shop at the East Side Market!

Former IGA local market, turned into one more Stop n' Shop location. Whatever neighborhood connection this place had died 10 years ago, and you can feel it every time you walk through the doors. Selection and options are all fine, but it has that fake "indie facade" that doesn't work.Wish Dave's Marketplace or some other local owner would take this place over again.

charged $18 for watermelon that i thought was on sale for $5.49. the sale tag was misleading but the deal is per pound. man at the deli gave us turkey instead of ham even after repeatedly confirming we wanted ham. frustrating, but when we returned the staff were very helpful and friendly. usually don’t have issues with this place, just double check your receipt.

2 pennies. It's about 2 cents. What does that mean? I was told to go out to my car for 2 cents.(The only reason you got a 1 star is because one of your associates checking out behind me gave me 2 cents).I've been going to your supermarket for 3 years and I am in customer service and management. Not only was the cashier smug about it. He seemed too eagar or not caring that I was short 2 cents. But I was told I could put it on my debit card.It's not the money, it was his attitude that turned me off. I was just about to just leave all of my groceries.That was very bad customer service and I will be shopping at Whole Foods. You nickel and dime things to death and your establishment prices arent cheap but that took the cake tonite.I would say when I come back I will be leaving an extra 2 cents but instead you would rather lose whole dollars.

I mostly like it here but they never give you the sale price for sale items. They always charge you full price for marked down, old and broken items.Don’t buy anything on sale without staring at the prices when they’re checking your stuff out.I have regularly bought several different sale items that weren’t rung up as on sale. They need to train the people who put the sale stickers on to cover over the other barcode with the sticker.It’s like Stop and Shop practically but nicer and with no Googly eyes robot and a slightly less fresh floral section.

This place is actually terrible. The food isn’t always up to date and it isn’t clean. The management are awful. My spouse has long term health problems now because they work her to the bone over there. On her one day off a week she doesn’t have the energy or strength to do anything but lay down and relax. Every single manager there is selfish and entitled. They manipulate the schedule and take all of the easy shifts and give all of the difficult or inconvenient shifts to employees that make way less than what they’re making but are doing more. I would never recommend shopping or working at this place unless you are literally starving.

I don't know what's going on in the world of grocery stores and whether this is normal, but they have hiked the prices up significantly in the last six months. A 2 lb bag of kale has gone from $5 to $6.25 (iirc), and the cheapest cost of a half gallon of soy milk is now a ridiculous $3.79. Eggs are obviously high as well.

The products are always fresh and a different variety of veggies and meats. Good natural product selection. Fresh plants and flowers beautiful selection

Used to be a great store with a large variety of items you can't find in other stores. Over the last couple of years it's become more and more of just Stop & Shop (who owns it now). The variety has become very generic like any other S&S, but with higher prices. I went for the last time today.
