Adlers is the best hardware store ever. From the painting expertise, to the design center, to the quirky things that you can pick up in the store, it is a great place. They are an excellent resource in the community.

I've come here a lot since moving to Providence a few years ago, and while occasionally they've needed to send me somewhere else for what I needed, the service is always exceptionally helpful and friendly. And I just found out they mix the paints for all the street murals I love so much in this town, so I'm even more enthusiastic about supporting this business now. I'd come here even more if they were open just a bit later each day.

Amazing service and quality! We called an hour before closing on Saturday and they were welcoming and happy to work with our custom glass cutting order. Monday around noon I got a call that it was ready for pick up. The glass we had originally brought to them was too thin and had broken during the cutting process, so they used a new piece for us. They did not even charge us for the new glass. The finished product is better than expected and their customer service is beyond compare! Highly recommend and we will be returning customers!

This place has EVERYTHING - and at a reasonable price. Employees are friendly - but not overbearing (will leave you alone if you just want to do your own thing). Helpful and knowledgable when you need them - person working the key counter went above and beyond to help me with a broken bike key. Love this place!

I have been an Adler's customer for almost 50 years. It's a place I enjoy going to. The service I get from Harry and Marc and the rest of the crew is fantastic. Any time I need a product, they have it or they'll order it. Any time I have a problem I can't figure out, they have a solution. I'm proud to support an institution that so exemplifies the power of small business. Keep up the good work.

-Walk in, ask three employees at the front desk where keys are copied.-Go to the back desk, wait for an employee to show up with another customer.-Wait for that employee to copy customer ahead of me's keys.-Wait for another employee to show up and show the first employee how to do it.-Finally get to my spot in line, get told they don't have the blanks and I'll need to go to a locksmith.-I ask: "Is there one around here y'all recommend?"-Get told: "IDK, maybe google it?"You'd think a local hardware store would understand customers who want to shop small, support local, and ask for an informed recommendation.Two stars because the employees at the front desk were nice.

This is an old fashioned hardware store. Skip the big box store and get personalized customer service here. Matched paint perfectly and told me where to get gold paint even though it was somewhere else. I needed a screw and they matched that too. My go to for everything hardware!

Excellent family run hardware store. For a small store it has a wide range of merchandise, and an interior design department. Their customer service is unparalleled. They also carry many products and parts that come in particularly handy for the Colonial and Victorian houses that make up most of the neighborhood.

I love this place. The employees and owners are really interested in helping you, you can always chat with them about alternatives, and they'll go out of their way to make you happy. A real old-school attitude that's become very difficult to find elsewhere.

Who doesn't love Adler's? This Rhode Island treasure is one of the most iconic and splendid design establishments in New England. No it isn't really a hardware store. It has some of the most beautiful wallpaper and best paint on the whole East Coast.

If you are looking for great products family run establishment, you want to stick with your home design and hardware needs. Those products that you can’t get at Home Depot, always check with Marc. I needed code - non electric- door locks and Marc ordered what I needed. Home Depot told me they don’t make it anymore. Thanks Marc!

I found that the place had exactly what I was looking for and it was reasonably priced. I noticed that the had a great variety and options. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. I would definitely recommend that you try the place out if you are looking for the hard to find items

Great as always. One of the salesmen cheerfully went up to the attic to fetch a special nightlight was looking for, while the manager directed me to some window hardware I needed. All for less than $10. Adler's forever!

I had two terrible experiences at Adler's. I purchased a full price Miele vacuum from Adler's just prior to moving out of state. The vacuum was sold to me as though it were new, but when I opened the box, the vacuum head had clearly been used and there was no manual or other paperwork. Now, two years later and living in Virginia, my vacuum has broken. The repair shop said it has a 7 year warranty if the silver tag is on the bottom of the vacuum. The tag had been removed! According to the repair shop, Adler's can get a full refund from Miele if they send in the tag, thereby "totalling" this serial number. Very shady business! Now I have to pay $150 for a new motor that should have been covered under warranty.About 8 years ago while living in RI, Adler's custom made 7 rooms of window treatments. Somehow my order was lost and when I complained, I got put at the end of the line. It took more than six months to finally receive the window treatments. The work was done incorrectly in one room, though it was redone free of charge and yet another long wait. At the end, the work was lovely and the fabric choices available are outstanding, but the service experience was horrible!

If you're the type that wants some support for your home projects, go here. Go! They carry most essential tools and hardware, and if they don't have it, they're willing to order it for you. Also, they handle repairs from lamps to windows, and I'm sure much more.

If you have never visited Adlers then you are in for a treat, family owned and run. This place has the basics, twine, batteries, plungers etc... but it also has an amazing high end selection of paints upholstery fabrics and hardware.
