This was my everyday store when I worked in Portsmouth. Even though I haven't been in this store for awhile they still carry so many ready to eat products. The prepared chicken is the best. So moist and delicious compared to other markets. Very friendly employees willing to help. Definitely worth going over the bridge.

$10.99 for a 3 day old half loaf of whole grain bread, in the bakery at Clements . $8.99 for an organic baby lettuce mix, that’s $4.99 everywhere else. Very over priced. $50.47 total cost for 6 cara cara oranges( 3 of which turned out to be rotten), 2 Macintosh apples, 7 bananas, a small head of broccoli, one large sweet onion, a pack of sweet tarts candy and one recess’s peanut butter cup. Never stopping here again under any circumstances. The pricey fruit isn’t even fresh. The 5 star reviews are from friends of the employees and owners. Even those reviews mention it is overpriced. I think I was the only shopper not wearing Canada Goose or carrying a Louis Vuitton bag. This is defiantly a store for the Volvo-driving -see-and -be-seen crowd. I have never witnessed more apathy from a register clerk and bagger. Must be depressing working for minimum wage and waiting on ridiculous-snooty-snoots all day.

$9 for a pack of 5 bottom-of-the-barrel chicken breast cuts, 4 of them weren't even edible, just absolute mush.can't justify the premium price anymore when the quality keeps going down.

It would be nice. If on their web site. If they were smart enough, to put there hours their open. It's a great menu. But to travel to there and find out that their hours are different then the market. Shows a problem with their thinking. I wish that they would correct it. Overpriced groceries. Good for meats, I’ll give them that. Sea scallops $27 plus per pound, Fisherman’s Market $18 per pound. It’s good for meat, emergency grocery type of food, other than that, you are being ripped off big time. The scallops are just an example of how much they take advantage of people on the island. Shop somewhere else for one month and compare the difference in savings. Still buy your meat there, but that’s it. You’ll be shocked with your savings.

I was looking for a gluten free product but unable to find it so I asked at the service desk and, was very impressed with the help I received in looking for what I wanted. Even after I left the desk they continued to look for the product and took my name and number to call me if they could get the product especially for me.

I am appalled the way Steve the manager spoke to one of his former employees. Who was shopping she was speaking to one of her colleagues and was told by Steve to keep it moving either buy something or leave . The audacity to speak to someone like that infuriates me she is a customer who deserves to be treated with respect! I have been shopping at clements market since I moved here 30 years ago I will gladly take a ride to another store and do business.

I love this store. They may not have the widest of varieties but what they have is quality not just in their product but in the cleanliness of the store and most importantly in the staff. I've never had a bad experience. We go to their deli nearly every week and the staff is exceptional, friendly, and very patient with a mom who is normally juggling multiple kids.

Great local market with a sizable selection of staples and finer foods. Good prepared foods selection (though go early, they will sell out of the best items) and decent deli and seafood departments. Added plus, they stay connected to their community giving back to several local charities and hosting a number of annual events. Good stuff.Update 3/13/2022: still a great local market. Prices have increased (like everywhere) but the product selection and staff make the market a pleasant place to shop.

Clements is the best grocery store on Aquidneck Island. It's well worth a 25 minute drive even though there are several other grocery stores that are much closer. Great selection, reasonable prices, and a lot of products from local vendors.

Always fresh , delicious and amazing local choices. Fresh seafood, amazing Lobster Roll for $8.99! Great place for gourmet groceries or if you want an individual Cooked meal for dinner, they have lots to choose from at $7.99 or less and they are made daily. By far my favorite grocer. Oh, and their flower and plant selection is BOMB! They last a long time too! They even have fine chocolates for gift giving or for you at their chocolate counter .

Been to Clements several times and I've never had a problem. It's a bit more pricey than S&S but the quality of products is SO much better. Came in today looking for beef ribs and didn't find any full racks out for purchase. Shane from the meat dept helped me by pulling some out from storage and packaging it. He could have told me to come back the next day like I've been told at other local stores (non Clements) but i didn't even have to ask, he offered to do it. Thank you Shane!

I love Clements, it's very convenient to stop there on my way home from work. The only bummer for me, I used to get chicken tenders from the hot bar all the time. The last time I got them (months ago) they didn't taste the same and after carefully looking at them, they all look the same now..? My guess, they are no longer fresh, real chicken. :(

One of the best grocery stores around. It’s a little more expensive, but it’s worth the cost and longer drive to get there. They have TONS of pre made meals, bakery items, gourmet popcorn, and some great local stuff. The staff is super friendly and since it’s a smaller market, it’s less “commercial” feeling.

Clements used to be a great place to stop for a sandwich or wrap after work. No longer! Today at 4:15 the sandwich shop area was closed (no sign) because they were “making sandwiches for tomorrow.” That is what an employee told me (in a rude manner) when I tried to order a wrap. I will no longer be stopping here after work or for my regular grocery shopping and will be sure to tell others to do the same. Very disappointed considering how great this place used to be.

This is a pretty nice midsized store. The prices are a little higher but the quality is much better than the big chains. The parking lot is tricky. The staff is generally friendly

Love this place. Fancy place. In a fancy area. Yet the prices aren't outrageous, and they run good specials. And the best part is how nice everyone is here. The quality/amount of prepared food will blow your mind. Hot and ready now, or reheat later. It's all good. Even the sushi. Try their homemade stuff at the deli. Like the turkey, ham, and salads. And be sure to get your card punched at the sandwich station. Buy 9 or 10, and then you get one free. Their chicken salad is better then Willow Tree. Ham salad is to die for. Plus local specialty items. I could write a book on all the good stuff. Amazing!

This market has it all. It is clean, spacious, modern and welcoming. They carry many unique and local products as well as your usual grocery store items. Prices are typically average to above average depending on the current store promotions.What makes this place so special is the grab and go items when you walk in. They have a salad bar, sushi, pizza bar, nitro cold brew coffee, prepared salads and sandwiches, muffins, chicken, fresh hot mini donuts, etc.This place is great to grab lunch on the way to work or the beach or to pick up a few unique items. Definitely worth a stop in. Everyone is so friendly and helpful!

Honestly this is the best grocery store on Aquidneck Island; I would shop here every week for everything if our budget allowed! The store itself is warm and inviting; well laid out and not too crowded. Great inventory, amazing produce, the bakery and meat department selections are awesome; and most importantly their staff is super friendly and helpful. Love this place!

Prices are above average for most grocery items. Clements Market is a great place for pre made foods from the deli and they have great sushi. The baked goods are as close to home made as your going to find and they have awesome cakes and pies. The florists do a nice job and the staff overall are very nice!

Great little market. They have it all from a wonderful salad bar to prepared hot meals you can choose from. You can even sit there and eat if you want to. Meats are good quality. The store is on the smaller side and much more manageable for the elderly who don't like those huge markets.
