Be careful. You might find your best friend at Petco! I've adopted two Green Cheek Conures and both are healthy and friendly. The staff at this location seem to really care for the animals they have there.

Many awful experiences with the NK Petco. We made our dogs initial grooming appt went on the correct date and they rescheduled our dogs appt four weeks out without telling us. Today four weeks later we bring our sweet elderly schnauzer to be groomed. She was very nervous and had diarrhea outside the establishment which we apologized for and the woman repeatedly said it was okay she was there to get cleaned up anyway, great! We left feeling okay. Not even an hour later we get a call saying they can’t groom our dog because of the diarrhea and that she was matted. Before we even left Petco we had the groomer look at her to make sure she could shave through the matting. Unfortunately our dogs original owner passed away unexpectedly so she was handed down to us and we didn’t know when to have her groomed and this was the soonest we could get. We’ve been bathing and brushing her at home. There was absolutely no excuse to make this valid. We picked up our girl and half of her back was shaved right down (not what we asked for) . Needless to say we’ll never step foot into Petco ever again.

Grrrrr. Be prepared to allow 5 hours for grooming. I thought by booking an appointment my dog would be groomed at a certain time. In 2.5 hours he got a bath and was stuck in a dryer. Apparently there is a VIP service for an additional 15.00 if you don't want to get 'put in the assembly line'. And you can't book this online. Have to do it in person. Who knew?

If you’re looking for a stellar dog grooming facility and dog groomer look no further than this Petco. Taylin is amazing, knowledgeable, patient and kind. My dog isn’t the easiest to groom but she does it with style and grace. Thank you, Taylin, for all that you do.

PetCo is staffed by nice people. It always looks clean and is well stocked. The people who work at the fish tanks are very knowledgable and eager to help. I took one star away because it is a little more on the expensive side.They have tons of choices for dog and cat food.

Taylor in NK and Breanna in Middletown are amazing and go above and beyond outstanding. We have been very happy with the quality grooming our doodles Penelope and Simon have received. They are happy going in and coming out. The grooming service offered by Petco NK and Middletown, RI are top notch!! Thank you, Taylin and Breanna!! 🐶🐾❤️

My son recently went to this location to purchase a fish. He saved his money and was so proud of himself. Sadly, the employee at Petco took what could have been an opportunity to educate our son and instead used it as an opportunity to scold him, an 11 year old, for not knowing that many fish cannot live in a small tank. He was left feeling discouraged and embarrassed. I doubt that this stellar human was more than 10 years older than our son, but she sure showed him. We’ll be taking our son and all of this newly learned information to a different store. He’s also now saving up for a larger tank so she can rest easy knowing that he won’t be abusing fish anytime soon.

I LOVE this Petco and all of the staff! I bring my puppos, Mr. Frodo and Lt. Barclay, here once a week for their nail trim and teeth brushing. We see Dee in the grooming salon and she is awesome! Mr. Frodo is particularly anxious and antsy, but she is so good with him. I would not want to see anyone else! When we walk into the store, the staff greets my pups like they are celebrities. Although Petco is a major retail chain, this location has a very mom and pop shop type vibe in terms of customer relationships. I could go on and on about how great the staff is, but this would be a paragraphs long review. To make a long story short, we absolutely HEART Petco North Kingstown!

Went in to get supplies for an adult skink I just adopted and thankfully was helped by Rachael and Crow! They were honestly the sweetest people, were incredibly helpful, didn’t make me feel stupid with all the questions I had, didn’t try and sell me stuff I didn’t need, brought me to each section I needed to, and were just tremendous to be helped after such a long work day. I was feeling pretty frazzled and in over my head with this sudden adoption/rescue and they eased my nerves. Please recognize such amazing employees by doing something for them. I went in there completely lost and left feeling much more confident about the care I was giving!

I've gone to this Petco on several occasions and have never had a bad experience. The staff is regularly friendly and willing to help out. I've tried online ordering as well and that was great. They keep the orders next to the checkout counter for easy access. One bit if advice I learned. Sometimes items are on sale on their website but not in store. If that's the case, they will give you the cheaper of the 2 prices upon being asked. Because of this, I always check online for what I want before going there.

My dog and I were welcomed with kindness and enthusiasm by ALL staff. They were happy to assist me with necessary paperwork. My dog was showered with attention! Taylin was Midge's stylist and I cannot express her level of competence and personalization. The visit and results were EXCEPTIONAL!

Such a friendly staff, knowledgeable and if person you're talking to is new, they'll get someone to answer all questions. They keep all fish tanks clean and all reptiles clean. I love this location. Still after 1yr of going to same store, still love the experience of going into store.

I have been taking our dog here for grooming the past 10 years. The staff is friendly, helpful, and do a grate job cleaning up your dog. They have a lot of patience and kindness with each individual pet! I have recommended the grooming service at Petco to quite a few people. They thank me each time.

Not gonna lie, I usually consider myself a PetSmart person, but this Petco had me really impressed. The store is on the smaller side, but they carried an adequate supply for small animals, reptiles, and birds. They have a large selection for dogs, cats, and live fish. All the live animals are well cared for- fresh food and water, enrichment (as far as pet store standards go), and clean enclosures. It was very nice to see. The woman who was at the register was so kind- we had a wonderful conversation! It really was a pleasant experience and I will be returning for my pet supply needs.

I found the item I wanted after going to two other stores and finding only disappointment. And although I didn't need to purchase any at the time, I did also find my cat's exact brand and flavor of cat food which I usually have to order online, so that was promising. The holiday stuff was also quite cute.

Store is more spacious than it seems and seems to have a great selection - I look forward to coming back to shop! This review is primarily for the Vetco service, which was absolutely wonderful with my cat - Allison, Kendra, and Lindsay took the time to answer all of my questions before the examination and thanks to Ryan and Dr. Bowen the vaccinations were so, so quick - over before my cat knew it, and he’s back home feeling like himself within the hour! Would absolutely recommend this service to anyone needing vaccinations or microchipping at a reasonable cost.

TERRIBLE! This place would not take my dog to get groomed because she is a senior dog. She has a bad ear and has bad legs. Absolutely disappointed.

This is a great pet store. People who work there are always very helpful. My wife has her dog groomed there and is always happy with the out come. If you sign up for the loyalty program they usually offer great discounts.We have two dogs so I can only review that part of their business.

This Petco is very large and well stocked. When we went it was very understaffed. It took about 10 minutes just to track down an employee to help. Once we did he was very friendly and efficient. This store should definitely hire a few more people to enhance the customer experience.

Large selection of healthy choices for dogs and cats. Prices are reasonable and has a good supply of stock of all brands of foods. Staff is knowledgeable and very welcoming.
