A duck came down the chimney and landed in the fireplace. Lincoln Animal Control came within 30min and quickly and gently removed the duck much to my relief and the ducks, undoubtedly. Took it back to their center and found no injuries. They released it and it flew away. Happy ending!Very professional and compassionate!

My cat was picked up because she was left in the apartment by my roommate I was living with, and was unable to legally enter the premises. I called this facility and they advised me that I needed a rabies vet appointment or proof of rabies vaccine in which I asked how long I had to provide this information and I was told to “there was no rush” so three weeks later I’m finally able to afford the vet bill after having to unexpectedly move and financially struggling, I call to inform them that I paid for the vet appointment and they told me THEY ADOPTED MY FUR BABY ALREADY, and that I was only allowed 10 days to provide the documentation, so not only was I lied to but I was stolen from, all for the financial gain of this facility. I had my cat since she was a kitten and had her spaded and taken to the vet very often, and she was with me for nearly 6 years. If by chance the person who adopted my baby sees this, I will compensate nearly anything to have her returned. She disliked being handled by anyone but myself, and would hiss and be terrified by anyone who wasn’t family, as I’m sure the person noticed immediately. If I could give zero stars to this “shelter”, I would.

Amazing staff!! I adopted my first cat yesterday and they were extremely helpful and even set us up with a care package! Little foot is already fitting in great and loves to cuddle!!

My dog was returned to this shelter after being missing. The people there were especially helpful and understanding. Upon entering the facility I noticed it was very clean and didnt smell horrible as most shelters do. Animals and kennels were all clean. Big thanks to the folks over there.

Samantha groomed my husky Moose and did a beautiful job!She didn’t force him to do anything he didn’t want. They will build a trusting relationship 💜

Adopted what I was told was a daniff that had accidentally bit a child. Turned out the dog was aggressive to women. Brought him back (with $100 worth of special dog food and toys and waited for a better forever pup. Found one I liked and was told they would get back to me. Instead, they informed a family member of mine that they wouldnt let me get a dog because I suffer from night terrors. They couldnt tell ME this and then made me wait a month before getting my refund. Screws this place. They are very much unprofessional, ignorant, and incapable of getting back to you. If I could give it zero stars I would. Go some place else for your dog. I wouldnt be surprised if the lincoln animal shelter was owned by peta.

Beautiful dog at animal shelter. I have 3 or I would adopt him .. help save a dog. They have a whole selection of dogs.. go and adopt one. I saw him while getting cat fixed at clinic. Beautiful dog.
