1/2 I loved my Home Depot job when i first got into the company at the Providence location , so when i left i knew i wanted to come back and work for Home Depot , so i went to Johnston RI location because they were hiring at the time , and when i tell you it was a hit in the face , completely 2 different places . Most associates , and hire ups were so mean , I only worked there for the summer and it was literally H E L L , everyday i walked in i was getting harassed by the garden supervisor who was my supervisor, on my first day he told me that i was “ going to hate him” if i kept working slow , but really i was in a new department so i was just learning the new things and getting into the groove it was my first day .. he had yelled at me numerous time for barely any reason , he would try to use anything to get me in trouble , everyday i was sitting in the office because of something stupid , he didn’t like me because i wouldn’t let him just talk to me any way like he thought he could with the other garden associates , so when he was on the schedule it made working there so bad and you can ask anybody. Plus it was weird because he never treated anybody else in our department like the way he treated me . this man had so many bad reviews on the google page , from CUSTOMERS saying how they needed to fire him and how he was mean to people , when literally go read for yourself, Home Depot did nothing about his snotty attitude even after i complained because i guess his people work for Home Depot in the higher position , so he felt like he could talk to people and treat people any other way because his job was so secured, he made girls leave Home Depot for making them feel uncomfortable working there , trying to flirt with them, and be touchy mind you this a grown man . Home Depot did N O T H I N G . Then he had his little minion the hr manager she was his right hand she was very rude to me because my garden supervisor didn’t like me . But even before that she was rude , my orientation day i was telling everybody who i was and where i got to school etc etc , once i said where i go to school she said she hated my school because her son plays them .. like ok ??? Everytime i would try to talk to her about something or had a question she would brush me off , or walk away while i was talking . She was very rude. They called me in the office one day because they said i did something wrong when i was trying to put in my leave , and she said “ yea if you do that again Home Depot will hate you “ like its the stuff she would say . As a grown woman with kids why are yu acting like that towards somebody else kid . one time they had a coookout and everytime i would go get food, her and the garden supervisor would look at me funny or laugh at me or just go silent when i walked in a room i hated being around them. They made it so unbarring to work there ,I am 20 years old , you would think at this age that i could handle my own stuff but i really almost had my parents go up there and help me because at this point like what do i do ??

I would live here if I could. When we bought our home, we went looking for new countertops and the people at lowes basically ignored us and we got everything we needed from home depo and a charge card, and delivery. All our projects are home depo items.

I mean their paint tho which by the way was actually alot cheaper than what I excepted ..... I literally spent $55 and this isn't all I even paint this is just some of the walls & stuff...... The workers are incredible helpful I'm remodeling my entire house & they've helped with stuff I didn't even know was made.

I got a used damaged toolbox for 1045.39 delivered to me and to get my money back I have to ship it on my dime from Warwick ri to Georgia its around 600lbs so it will cost me 100,s of dollars and I'll have nothing but the bill buyer beware with them they will not stand behind there junk! I guess new in the box meant get rid of our junk. dont buy on line !!!!

Black Friday deals are Awesome! Staff is knowledgeable and friendly. I dont understand why all the bad reviews. You have free parking, every tool and supplies to build a town. Are you people moving in or buying supplies. If the store is not clean enough shut up and go somewhere else. Be thankful that you a open store during these difficult times.

Unfortunately, my experience with this home depot. Is the representatives for the Company are not willing to help their customers very well.. same lack The knowledge of their store. And Not will to help solve any issue that custom may have. Twice I was Disrespect when I asked a question I had to walk away and find it myself.

Terrible Home Depot. They will lie about everything just to make you purchase. I purchased S100 John Deere Lawn Mower with the bag. This cost me $2800 after they lied that a discount was applied. I was told that someone will come and install the bag and that never happened. Lawn mover stopped working after a month without using it. The customer service are so rude and will hang up phones stating that they can’t hear you. You can’t get any assistance in the store. Employees are standing around chatting and wouldn’t even help. Avoid this store at all cost. I am in the process of returning the product.

Newel helped me last to weeks and he was wonderful. He went above and beyond and made sure that I got the items I needed. When helping me, he didn't even punch me in, because thats how dedicated he is. The customer service is amazing, all the employees there truly go above and beyond.

Seems like every time I go there, either what I need is out of stock, it's the right company but not the exact piece I need, or it's not where it's supposed to be. Some employees are very very helpful, while others can't be bothered - like they have more important things to do than assist me.

This Home Depot has gone Downhill. I've been living in the area for about 12 years and up until a couple of years ago it was really good. Well stocked, Organized, and very helpful staff. I don't know if there was a management change at this store but It seems that lately when I go in there its very unorganized, You might find what your looking for. There are still a few staff members who are decent but that is a small number from what I've seen. It has gotten to the point that Unless I need something trivial that I know every store would have, I take the extra travel time to endure Mineral Spring Ave to go to Their Competitor. Or endure the shopping Plaza on Rt 44 to go to that Home Depot. It's a shame because this Home Depot is close to my house and the most convenient for me. I would implore The upper management of HD to take a look at this from a management perspective because clearly its not being managed very effectively.

You've adopted the whole self-checkout thing presumably cut down on costs associated with paying cashiers, then you proceed to make those self checkout stations inaccessible and leave 1 cashier register open for THE WHOLE STORE? That's just antithetical to the whole purpose of the machines you've managed to replace people with.Every single time I come to this location I'm reminded why this place is my last resort.Open up the God damn self checkout stations and put that cashier on LP duty. What's wrong with making it easier for people to give you money for your overpriced products?

Never have I ever been more disappointed in any retail store than I have today. Not only did the woman who answered the phone for the pro desk not want to do her job but i was an inconvenience to be helped/served. Rosemary the said rude employee kept trying to pawn me off to the HomeDepot.com because my order was made online but failed to see that although it was made online was set to be delivered from her store. When after she said she’d check with a manager I finally got a call saying that the order needed to be canceled because they couldn’t put the correct address on the order that the system clearly messed up. I had to try and convince her not to do it and called back Home Depot.com and finally got them to call the validation department. They went above and beyond and got it pushed through for me. When it came time to hand pick the order the order came through her desk and she put a “ticket on it” and CANCELED the whole order even though the address was corrected and everything was it stock. I have never in my life seen someone stoop so low because I went above her head, she has 0 respect for customers! Me and my husband pro account made 45k in 3 months for our business alone not including our own house projects. We constantly do work with them so to have this level of nonsense is just foolish. I thought this company wants to continue making money but with employees like her, it’ll be ran into the ground quickly!

I will start by mentioning that today has been the coldest day of the year so far.I parked by the garden center to pick up a bag of rock salt. I figured I would pick up the salt and check out in the garden center.I carried the bag all the way to the cashiers box to find out that nobody was there. So then I had to carry it all the way back to the check out line in the store.Unfortunately the bag tore and spilled rock salt all over the floor. I was too embarrassed/ enraged to deal with it so I left.I ended up going to BJs and found a better deal anyways so it all worked out

The cashier at the return/customer service desk tried to give candy to my child, while I was grabbing a cart, and he had a line of people waiting on him to help them. He was the only person at the return desk. He kept trying to talk to my baby, and offering him candy. That is incredibly WEIRD.My son is 10 months old.All I was trying to do was return an item, and they couldn’t even do that. The item is found online as well, but they kept on giving me a hard time and speaking to me as if I was stupid. I have NEVER had a hard time returning an item before. I work in home renovations and have never had any issues returning an item at any Home Depot.

I’m in this location usually once or twice a week. Customer service has gone out the window. I’ve always had great experiences here since moving to the area years ago. Now it seem there is more staff but less help. No employee cares to assist, if they do they’re rude and stubborn. I shouldn’t have to return to the store several times to get what’s needed when the employees the first time around were to stubborn to help out the correct way the first time. I understand with COVID-19 being an issue there are some adjustments with policies that have been made just like any other store. However, that doesn’t mean employees can be rude to customers. You’ll see a lot of employees (especially those not in uniform obviously stocking the shelves) just standing around. You can ask someone for help and you’ll get passed around for about a half hour. Ironically more of the older staff are the most rude. Extremely disappointed in the services as of lately and will not be returning to that location.

I went Monday July 4th it wasn't busy at all I was looking for a very nice front door , I was willing to spend a lot of money if I find the correct one but what i found at the door dept. was a very racist and unhelpful guy that ignores my husband when we tried to ask him a question and after 5 minutes waiting for him ( we kept waiting to see how far he was going ) he move away from us to chat and play around with another worker so we keep waiting until he decides to stop ignoring us , when we finally have the chance to talk to him he didnt give my husband a chance to ask him nothing else he just told us that the doors where there and we have to figure it out the rest. I really hate to give the store 1 star because its my store, its my neighborhood but today I saw the worst in customer ever.

Ordered 8 items I needed for a project. All were indicated as in stock. Drove to the store 2 hours later and order still wasn't ready.After another 25 minutes I was told they only had 1 of the 8 items in stock.Ridiculous waste of my time.What's the point of ordering online to make certain it's in stock??Lowe's next time!!

Great employees and if you don't know what home Depot has for items, just imagine anything goes wrong at your house, they have the stuff to fix it and the employees can show you the way to do it... Most times anyway.

Good prices, and friendly service. Always have employees around to help you out if you need assistance. I've bought a refrigerator, microwave, bathroom faucet, kitchen faucet, carpet, filters for water cartridge's, ceiling fans, lights, so much to choose from, good prices.

Great gas station and store .I vist atleast 2 times daily.On my way to.work and on my way home .Good prices friendly staff and easy in and easy out always fast in and out kinda of place ..it doesn't leave u walking a mile from the gas pump to the store entrance .Car wash is great and reasonable priced

If they were not drug testing they would have the best staff. Not one person in that store has ever worked any type of tradesmen position making it useless. I had to explain how to measure and cut a piece of wood to your employee

A clean, well lighted place. We spend way too much money there!Sometimes their staff are clueless as where things are in the store. We were sent to an aisle, which was not even related to what we were looking for. The lumber isle has way too much stuff laying around also, that you have to move to get your boards, etc.The staff are friendly and try to help at least!

Horrible customer service. No one wants to help you and they all seem to hate working there. I asked an employee where something was and he just said plumbing. When I asked what isle he said I don’t know find someone that works in that department and walked away. So rude and unprofessional!! This place needs new management because it clearly doesn’t have any. Social skills and a simple smile would help.
