Market Basket is my favorite grocery store! Their produce is always fresh. I really like that you don't need a card or digital coupons to get sale items. I believe sales should be for everyone not just for those that have access to cell phones or have store "cards!" Their sales are great and they usually have plenty of the sale items. The store made sandwiches are very good and are a great value. I commend them for always having many of their registers open, that's great customer service. There is one thing that they could improve on. Several times I have asked workers where a particular item could be found and their response was I don't speak English. I understand that not everyone speaks English but they could find someone to help you that does. Overall Market Basket is a great store.

I like being able to get everything I need under one roof. The amount of prepared food is insane. I love their berry salads. My kids love getting a soft serve cone on the way out and I love the coffee. Their bakery is also insanely good.

This is a pretty nice store. Fairly well stocked and staffed, well lit, with a good selection of stuff. I'd never been in a Market Basket before insta cart shopping this one a few times, it was nice. Loses one star because I asked at least 3 different employees for help locating items and not one spoke English. Staff are everywhere, but you can't communicate with them, so it makes it tough.4 stars overall.

First, if you’re going to have staff bag customers groceries, please teach them the correct way to bag instead of over stuffing bags. Every single time someone bags my groceries the bag is so filled it’s way to heavy and on the verge of breaking, especially if it’s our own personal bags we bring in with us, and if you say you’ll bag your own they give you a dirty look. Second, why does restocking shelves need to happen while the store is open and full of customers, it makes it extremely difficult to shop when you can’t get to the items on the shelves because pallets are in the way. Plus staff do not move out of the way when a customer needs to look at or get something that is right in front of them. When did the customer no longer matter in this store.

I am writing this review on behalf of my father who did not have a good experience at this MB. This happened on March 23rd at around 12PM-12:30PM where he had just had had foot surgery and was on crutches. He went with my brother and he dropped him off at the main entrance so he could get the mobility scooter as my brother went to go park the car. Unfortunately, he had to go halfway through the store in crutches near the cashiers to even reach the scooter. I believe the scooter should be more easily accessible to those who are disabled and/or require it. Moreover, the area was completely wet. There were some wet floor signs on only one side but the whole area was wet and since he could not tell which area was safe he consequently slipped and fell. Customers aided to him before the workers even reached me. He is still in his 50's but imagine if it was someone more elderly? They could have seriously injured themselves. I would also like to point out the sheer negligence of the staff at that time who did not appropriately attend to him. The manager and supervisor, rather than apologizing and ensuring that he was well, started to argue with him and give excuses on why the floors were wet. They claimed that they could not keep up with the cleaning, but I believe that that should be the priority as it was busy and many people could easily slip and injure themselves on the wet floors. I believe that the manager and supervisor with 17 and 8 years of experience respectively should be aware of the consequences of wet floors and should properly ensure that the floors are not a safety hazard for the customers. Really unprofessional and rude of the supervisors for not behaving appropriately.

I experienced some discrimination at the prepared foods area. I selected a number and waited for the 2 customers in front of me to finish and I thought I would be called next since I had the next number. But I was not a Spanish gentleman with no number who came to the counter way after me was then waited on. Then another Spanish gentlemen was waited on who came in after the first gentleman and again had no number. I then asked if I could place me order and I was ignored. I asked the Pizza employee if he could help me and he said no so I had him call for the store manager. The store manager came and then had someone wait on me by another employee as I was being ignored by the Asian employee. This is discrimination and needs to be dealt with. I followed the procedure in good faith and was ignored. Next time I will not be as nice and interrupt the employee and say I was next and will become very loud and voicetress.

Clean stores and sufficient inventory. Especially like their sales. Great variety of brands including store brand. Meat and fish depts really good. The one in Johnston RI unfortunately has many workers that do not speak English so can not be of help.

Very 9ice super market. Reasonable compare to many supermarkets. Has many varieties of fruits a d vegetables and so .many other functions like buying money oder hot food services and cold sandwiches and salads. Varieties of so many things. Is like one shot deal. Was crowded however each line moves very been long like. Heard working staffs in all corners. Good management I observed. As a first time customer. Will definitely visit the place again. Good shopping Saturday experience.

The donuts here are AMAZING! They are fresh, bigger than DD, & cheaper than DD. This location is always clean & well stocked. I recommend Market Basket to my family & friends.

They paved paradise put up a Maaaahkit Baaahskit Paahkin Lawt. Service better than Stop & Shop with prices better than Walmart. All human cashier's, help stocking in every aisle. Fresh Hot Large Subs cooked to order for $5? Double Wide 3$ pizza slices (pro tip ask them to cut it in half). $2 Lattes watch out Starbucks! Worried about inflation? How about paying 2005 prices across the board? Only complaint is the order of the Aisles make zero sense like diapers next to Cheetos or whatever I can't figure it out and I have been shopping here for years.

Same quality as whole food quality as stop and shop but much cheaper I call it the whole foods for not rich people on conveniently the city bus drops you off right in front of the store you can't ask for more

I love getting steak n cheese but the last time I went the woman said "you should call ahead if it is 4 sandwiches " so I did that today 5 times and no answer.

Need more help at the deli very slow and I love seeing employees walking behind the deli not waiting on customers. I countered 7 meat slicers and only 3 employees why have seven slicers if not maned with employees.At the deli again today 10 deep with many employees walking around doing nothing. How about helping the customers. One employee pushing me out of the way to put out bread instead of waiting on customers. Then the deli people are chitchatting not slicing.

It's the place to do your grocery shopping post COVID pandemic times, especially with the price hikes as a result of it. Love those mini lobster rolls and the live lobsters steamed to order as well. A grocery store that accommodates to almost all grocery items under one shingle. The store can get crazy, but I choose to go off peak hours. Say goodbye to those Stop & Shop prices.

When I ask bagger to FILL the bags, it means fill them. We tell them just bag it...no reason to be particular with being careful over what products touch other products. We ended up with 13 bags of one item per bag and ended up not getting all we purchased. We had over 25 bags to bring in our house. Our receipt number is 099873, term 08, Johnston, 4:57. There were bags still on the end of conveyor belt that I had to push down for bagger to put in carriage. Nearly $300 .00...I should not have to do their work.

Always great food and great prices. They have items that no one else carries. Best big store around. I go in sometimes just for their sandwiches or roast chicken. Their staff is very friendly and very helpful. My new favorite place to shop.

The doors on the northern entrance of the store may be backwards. When you enter and when you exit you must cross the flow of traffic. It’s a minor inconvenience but I notice it every time I go to this market basket. I spoke with a manager about it on 2/5/2024 so we will see if anything will happen. 🤷

I ordered a cake for my son's birthday and then had to cancel at the last minute they were super nice about it and I can pick it up next week for the rescheduled party thank you so muchDefinitely be visiting him more often

Make sure you check your receipt!! Fake deals all around the store and they will charge you different price. Customer service route it has no intent of assisting anyone.

Big store has everything u need ... The problem I have is a million dollars store should fix all the problems... I was waiting for over 15 minutes just to get a r receipt they couldn't print it out cuz I paid cash ... Doesn't make any sense

The shoppers there are RUDE. I shopped there the other day and got accused of stopping short when there was a traffic jam coming out of one of the aisles inside the store. The woman behind me was going 90 miles an hour and tried to ream everyone in front of her in the jam to get by and told me, “well you can’t stop short”. So I’m supposed to plow through everyone like she wanted to do? The place was jam packed with people. Absolutely no consideration for the other person. But, isn’t that the way it is today? It’s all about them. They’re more important than you. NOT!!

Food quality is very low, cheese is rubbery and the Meats look artificial and glued together. SEVERELY UNDERSTAFFED at the fresh food bar. The layout of the store makes absolutely NO SENSE whatsoever. The only positive is they have plenty of cashiers 🤷🏻‍♂️

It's new! Lots of varieties of everything. Some prices are really good, some not so much. Lots of people are going there, so it's beginning to get trashy around. Also, there are no self checkout lanes! BTW, their pizzas are awesome! 19" pizza with 2 toppings $15.00. That's it!Update: The lines just keep getting longer for checkout!!! The baggers are really slow since they are 14 or 80 years old!Update: Pizza is still a great deal!!Getting very busy. Holidays here we waited in line forever!

Best regional grocery chain in rhode island... without fail. The selection is enormous, the prices much fairer than the "corporates" (hmm, I'm looking at you Amazon and Stop n shop), staff are all readily available to help, and they stock an amazing selection of ethnic foods. Can't say enough good things about MB
