Great place. Very spacious. I came here for the self service dog wash that is cheaper here than the one in East providence. Needed a new location as well in order to avoid the hectic traffic brought on by the Washington Bridge repairs. Staff were very friendly

Can not believe the amazing service provided to us at this location by both employees working this morning. I have a reactive dog but very much wanted to use the self washing stations. They made this experience so easy and so amazing for both me and my dogs. Honestly anytime I’ve ever been here they have been so good but today blew me away. I’m so grateful for people like them. All the while they had an adoption event going on. I can not say thank you enough! Best pet supplies store ever!

Never had an issue bringing in my dog to use the self wash station, staff is chilled l, and friendly. Everything you need from clean towels, apron, shampoo, conditioner, even treats, etc. to get the job done. Can't beat 13 bucks. I recommend using this conditioner. You'll thank me later!

We hadn't been here in quite awhile and were pleasantly surprised! We were greeted when we walked in. All the staff said hello as we walked thru the store. Staff were busy and productive. Very clean and tons of food, products and toys. They had rescue Guinea pigs for adoption that were really cute. There were rooms where you could bathe your animals safely. Airy and light. They even had a birthday area with homemade cookies and treats to purchase for your pet! Plenty of parking with handicapped slots right up front. Very nice time and our dog had a good time walking around checking everything out. Thanks for a great visit!,

I mostly come here for the self serve dog wash which is AMAZING. It's $11-14 depending on the shampoo you get and I think it's worth every penny. The tub is raised, so less bending than at home, ear wash, tear stain remover, there are jars of cotton balls and q-tips. They also provide towels, lay out a bunch of grooming tools including nail clippers, there's a blow drier (albeit noisy so my dog hates it) and you can take a cute bandana when you're done-"smaller dog" or "larger dog" sizes. I have gone two weeks in a row now after the mud pit of the dog park (see below), on multiple recommendations from other owners there. I love not having to track the mud through my house to the bathroom and then cleaning up the bathroom when the dog's bath is done. I took off one star for the toy selection and prices for some of the items in the store, I would have taken off a half star if I could. Overall I plan on being a returning customer. Oh also- the employees are all very nice... I guess I'll add that last star after all!

Took Justice to the dog bath here. It was awesome! There's a step, and it is at a convenient level saving human back strain! Shampoo, conditioner, ear cleaner, towels, a blow dryer, and doggylicious treats!Justice loved it very much, and will be going again soon!!!

Comprehensive, this place pretty much has everything your pets needs nutritionally, except maybe the "big box store stuff" of questionable quality, (kibbles) or something that doesn't matter like pee pads, leashes, dog bowls, etc . The help is very generous, always showing people around, never pushing it "up selling". We stopped giving our pets prepacked food and cook/ hand make every thing now. Just our way of controlling endless allergies, but this place has great quality products and there's a reward discount program for frequent customers. They have "self wash" grooming stations if there's no place at home to do that! 👍

Went to the East Providence location. Huge selection for dogs, but not so much for cats so I didn't get nearly everything I needed for our new adopted family member, Mac the 17lb Siamese Mix. I was specifically looking for Treats and food for cats with Urinary Tract issues and I wasn't finding anything. When I asked for help, the employee wasn't sure if they had anything so she asked a manager who ended up being very helpful in locating food that, although isn't labeled as Urinary health specific, is in fact formulated for urinary and overall health anyway. I purchased quite a few different varieties of food but nothing else. There weren't any treats or supplements that I found for Mac's UTI issues although the manager informed that the Barrington location does have some.The store was well organized, clean, and the staff were friendly. I just wish the cat selection was a little more extensive.

I refuse to shop at any other pet store in Rhode Island. Rumford pet always has amazing staff and they’re very knowledgeable whenever you have questions. They also really love my dog. Bucky is always greeted and loves everyone here. I seriously do not have enough to say about how amazing this place is.

So happy to be able to find a place to bath my rescue dog in privacy without other dogs nearby. Other groomers told me that my dog who is a pit mix is not the right fit for them to groom. How dare they prejudge him. They didn’t even meet him. He is lovable and sweet. Thank God for Rumford Pets. There are two bath stations whereby one tub is lower and the other station has a higher tub. Thank you for providing a safe environment for bathing my dog! By the way, the employees are knowledgeable and professional. Don’t hesitate… it was a wonderful experience for both of us!

I called in advance to check if they had Advantage II for large cats, and when I got there to pick it up the young man had placed it behind the counter for me and was ready to check me out as soon as I walked in. The store was clean and the personnel we're kind and very helpful.

Very friendly staff. Sales representative asked immediately if we needed help or had questions, which we did. Throughout the entire visit, sales rep provided us different options and helpful information on which products suited our needs the best. We were looking for something to calm an aggressive cat. Wish we could remember the girls name, she was great! But always a pleasure to visit this location.

This is one of my favorite stores. I can wash my dog, buy cool toys for the birds and even buy Beta Fish. The staff is absolutely amazing and extremely knowledgeable.

Trust me, shop here instead of petco. I have tried numerous times finding food and supplements for my dog who straight up refuses dry kibble (even with wet food mixed in) and looses weight because of it. I walked into this store that was recommended to me by a friend. I was overwhelmed with the amount of options, not knowing where to even start or try for my picky, skinny dog. I told an employee (Naomi I believe) all the issues and she knew exactly what to give me, saying that other customers with my same problem have had good luck with this brand she handed me. I can’t even believe that my dog is now OBSESSED with this food! I can tell she’s also gained some weight back. I used to have to beg her to eat, and now she’s back to her old appetite. I will absolutely be a returning customer!

Nice store, good back issue selection. However, bins are left underfilled and comics slump so be careful about condition. Some back issues priced as NM, when not close to that condition. A good amount of magazine sized comics. Good selection of new games. Staff we friendly and helpful.

The employees were so sweet to me and my senior girl. Even after she tinkled on the floor. I will go back there for everything. Also the self bathe area was awesome. It had everything and then some. It was easy for my old girl to get into and out of and was spotless.

AVOID bathing your dog here, especially if your dog has a long coat. I guess it's ok if it's your only option but their competitor is much better.#1 They you charge more and they water down the shampoo, like ridiculously, I use the same brand at home, so I know the normal consistency and I had to use almost the whole bottle there. Then the conditioner was literally water. Again, I've bought it before so I knew something was up. Then my friend commented that she had the same experience.#2 The water pressure there is terrible, so it ends up taking a lot longer.This store is good, it's been around forever and they do carry some products that the other chains don't. The employees have always been really nice.

Good selection of pet supplies geared mostly to dogs and cats but also carrying rabbit, hamster, bird and reptile supplies as well. Small but well cared for selection of reptiles, small pet and birds. The store is well kept and clean. Nice locally owned alternative to the big box pet stores
