Being a first time customer, I was nervous as to what to expect from a groomer. In addition, at one year old, my Golden Retriever had never been groomed. I couldn’t have been more pleased with the outcome. Not only did she look beautiful, she smelled wonderful. I had requested that they only trim her paws and frankly, they did a great job…in a word, she was perfect. I especially liked how the entrance is securely cordoned off with fencing….an important element given the business is located on a very busy corner.The employees were pleasant and the checking-in and checking-out process was efficient. I would highly recommend Jax’s Galloping Groomer in York PA to everyone.

We have 2 dogs that were never at a groomer before so we were nervous about this experience, however they did an excellent job on our babies and they look beautiful!! Very nice ladies to do business with. Highly recommend!! Tysm

I took my cat 🐈 to have her nails done (cut down) for her Birthday 🎂. While she was getting them done the lady sang "Happy birthday to her " She was very good with my fur baby

Jax's Galloping Groomers is the best place I have taken my miniature poodle to get groomed yet. I had my dog for 8 years and I had never trusted someone with him like I do with Denise. They are accommodating with their schedule and they are willing to spoil your pooch in every way. Unfortunately my dog's hair gets really matted and Denise was able to save his hair. They have gain a customer for life. Thank you so much guys!

I waited to post my review, but the reviews are right about the scheduling mishaps. I’m not sure what’s going on with it, but they need to work on quality assurance.I messaged them through Facebook Messenger and they responded in a short amount of time. I messaged them on Jan 23rd 2024. They told me to come in at 9:30 AM on Jan 31, 2024… cool… scheduled (7) days out, no problem. Jan 31st comes around, I go to Jax they said they don’t have me on the schedule. I’m like, uhhh okay?? She then proceeds to ask me verbatim“How soon do you need your dog?”Me: “Why, are you trying to squeeze us in?”Jax: YesMe: “No thank you, I do not like doing business like that!” And I left.The whole point of an appointment is to secure time, not have my dog waiting at a pet groomer allllllllll day in a new environment she’s not used to.Then they proceeded to call me and leave a message saying they scheduled me for Jan 31st 2025 🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️and then they start defending themselves saying “ there was a mistake but she offered to do the service for me, if you leave the dog, we will do the service for you.” << you lost my trust after your mistake, now I’m uncomfortable.I did explain to them my frustrations via Facebook messenger telling them they wasted my time, I planned my dogs day around the groomers, and her doggy daycare. My dog missed a day because I was taking her there to Jax.I took my dog to another groomers and everything was great!… Jax then must have stalked me and seen my comment on the other groomers page and proceeded to defend theirselves again to me, this was very uncalled for and unwanted🤦🏽‍♀️I highly suggest you do not go here and find another local groomer.

• I just moved here and was on need of a groomer!! My teacup Yorkie has been without a cut for a while. She does have the nick down her neck. I just think she has to get used to groomers again. The price was excellent!! I am thankful I was about to drop her off. I was sent a txt when she was done too.

Got Gizmo his Birthday groom. Everyone was nice and very friendly. Price was good for a nail trim, bath and ear cleaning. They even gave him a bandana. He had a great experience, scheduled him for next month. Highly recommend it!

Very poor communication. Texted several times (3 weeks in a row) for an appointment. Each time the response was, “I am working on the schedule. I’ll get back to you ASAP.” They didn’t respond. We found a groomer that responded within hours.

Their grooming is great; but even better is that you can actually book an appointment without being a regular client. Most groomers only book regulars and my Goldens just need a once or twice a year appointments.

They are very knowledgeable of different breeds n there dispositions. They take there time to make ur fur babies feel comfortable with the whole process. That gives them 5 stars to me! It's not just a job to them.

I have been searching for a place for my little Simon to get his nails trimmed in York since I moved here. I would always have to take him back to Maryland to get them done. Thank goodness for Jax's Galloping Groomer! I love that they have walk-in nail trimmings and its a great price. The staff there are very nice! They took care of him and treated him with such kindness. He suffers with arthritis and anxiety so it was nice to see people treat him with such loving care. I hope to take him back again for his next nail trim.

Took our dog for walk in nail grooming. In and out in less than 15 minutes. Staff was very professional. They made our dog feel at ease. Usually needs muzzled to clip his nails. The young lady who clipped his nails. Talked to him the whole time. We will definitely go back. Best nail clipping experience we have ever had

I don't know how much space is available, but here goes. Last week I took the family cat in for a walk-in clinic nail clipping. The staff was warm and friendly. A young lady took my cat and returned with the job completed in what was to me an amazing short time. I paid my bill and headed out the door. As I was walking to my car I turned to once again thank the young lady who was out on a break as the carrier in my hand came apart and my cat escaped. She took off giving chase to Kola as he rounded the building and disappeared. This wonderful girl helped me look everywhere to no avail. I called my wife for help and the search continued. We finally found Kola hiding in the bushes cold and frightened. When I reach for him, he escaped and was killed by a car running across the street. They heard the screams from inside and all ran out to try and help. Eventually giving us a towel and box to carry Kola away. The compassion from the staff was amazing. I've told everyone that they need to go there for grooming services. We are adopting 2 cats from Heavenly Paws and they will both be taken there without any doubt. People never remember what you say, but they remember how you made them feel.

I've been taking my cat to this groomers for a while now, and when my mom brought my cat home I noticed they've cut her whiskers.. AGAIN!! They've done it once before and since then we have told them every time we took my cat to NOT CUT HER WHISKERS. But they did it again! I don't understand why/how they can do this. It seems like an accident since only one side of her face has her whiskers cut, but come on... This is ridiculous.

I came in for a job and I wish I could have taken it, the job was for Dog groomer, but that is not what I was applying for when I told her she told me that I wasn't the first, and she was very disappointed with Indeed. And I have to say I don't blame her at all even though they were the best assessment I've ever had the system is somehow not working, in my opinion we need to overhall things, I'm an older guy (60s)and you just want to help people out if you can not make life more difficult for them , or desensitize people to think 🤔 gee if it's not happening to me it's not happening, screw that...

Bad experience. They are very irresponsible and unprofessional. I called by phone to make an appointment and explained that my dog ​​suffers from severe nerves and anxiety and is very protective, the dog does not bite, but barks a lot and they told me that they had more than 10 years of experience with these dogs. When I came in, the groomer did not want to treat him and I asked him to tell me if they were going to take care of her so I could take him away before I left and they made me give him a double dose of the medication for the nerves because the first dose had not taken effect. Barely 5 minutes passed after I left the place and I received a text message that my dog ​​is ready and that I will pick him up. If they only accept passive dogs, they should have told me on the phone at the same time I explained them and not just to make money. They made me waste my time and the dog came out very nervous and not even they tried to find his way around in less than 5 minutes that the dog was there.

Took my 2 kitties for the first time this past weekend. They're exclusively indoor and hate being put in the carrier and taken out of the home. One has a history of spraying or pooping during grooming. The women were extremely kind and knowledgeable. When I picked them up, I was informed they both behaved so well. When I got them home, they were so relaxed and just so calm. And they smelled so good!! I will definitely be bringing them back!

This was my first time taking my Doodle(Kaci) to Jax’s. Denise and all her fellow groomers were super nice. Kaci looked beautiful afterwards.
