I got an advertisement in the mail and stopped for Pepsi. Just walking through with the coupons, I saved $41.and I spent $40. I bought my Pepsi and took advantage of specials on Prego, Tasty Cakes, asparagus, and multi colored mini 🍅. The store was well stocked and displays were full of advertised products. I went through the self checkout but hit a snag with one item. Before I could call for assistance, a very nice young staff member was alert enough to see my dilemna and resolve it in a wink.

They sell Chinese food in the deli, bakery area.It was delicious. I heard good things about their Chinese food and finally I tried it.Yummy..Plus I grab their sushi pretty often.2 item meal. $9.00 / 3 items $10.99. I've found myself visiting less and spending less overall at this store after witnessing the way the store manager treats customers and staff members alike. It's also increasingly difficult to shop around the store with all the staff, inventory, and equipment in the way.I like Giant and their products otherwise work for my household, but the disappointing behaviors I've both witnessed and have been subjected to are enough to cause me to seek other alternatives and avoid this store.

The deli service is terribly slow. I put an order on the kiosk when I arrived at the store. There were only a few orders ahead of mine. I finished my shopping half an hour later and came back. My order was still not ready. When it finally came out, one of my items was out of stock. I asked the worker if he could just cut something else for me. No, I had to take a number. Then I waited another half hour, even though there are only 4 customers ahead of me. Were the deli workers slicing in slow motion? Maybe.

Did not get chicken but got shrimp again last week, a bit salty but this time they are perfectly deveined, thank you.Happy New Year.Original message:Used to get more than 4 boxes of old bay jumbo shrimp ($8.99/lb) at deli, but stopped a month ago because they are NOT devained! More over, the rotisserie chicken was NOT fully cooked!! Very disappointed! Also cashiers need better training at bagging (pls make an effort at putting soft fruits on TOP of heavy stuff) . Will have to go to other grocery stores in the neighborhood until improvement is made!!

Got berries there and the last couple times I found mold in them. The appearance from the outside looked fine but when I dug in I found mold. Maybe they can do a better quality check before putting products out.

rating one star because of an employee, not the store. An employee who appeared to be of some management capacity (Aimee Singleton according to name tag)immediately took and removed my cart full of merchandise while I was shopping for 3 instacart orders. I was gone for 30 seconds. Imagine doing work to get paid for only to have it vanish unexpectedly, and having multiple people depend on you for it and no real reason for its disappearance... kinda lousy, right?Yesterday morning, Sunday 1/15/23 I came to Giant to do an Instacart order for 3 people. As normal, I kept my cart parked at the end of an aisle, away from crowds so i could move in between aisles efficiently. The Instacart app was inaccurate with the item locations, so I kept having to go in between an aisle and my cart a few times. 30 seconds later and my cart that I have clearly not abandoned is gone.So this has happened before. A few times it was simply someone or myself accidentally grabbing my cart by mistake. But another time my cart filled with merchandise completely disappeared and I could only think that store staff nefariously hid it on me,Well, it's true. I found my cart heading towards the door to the store backroom of whatever by the manager. My immediate reaction when i saw the woman and another man with the cart was oh, hey sorry you accidentally took my cart, but her reaction was "oh people leave carts all the time.". no apology and even better- when i first walked in the store , I went back for another shopping cart due to the first having a bad wheel.. you think anyone moved that empty cart? it remained in the same spot the entire time shopping.Cruel Cart Theif/day ruiner in photos:

The chinese food Freshly made to go inside of Giant has to be the best deal Going Huge helping and half the price of the regular Chinese to go and sit in restaurants. And it tastes great. The giant is located at the East York Lowes shopping center.

I go here for all my groceries. They usually have everything stocked and the lines for the self checkout aren't long even when the place is very busy. They park shopping carts in front of the bike rack and block it, which for me is an inconvenience. I ride my bikes everywhere and there's no point having a bike rack that you essentially completely block with shopping carts.

I got accused of solicitation and/or loitering after purchasing my food. Sitting down to eat it and then paying for my Gas bill. And finally sitting back down to charge my iPhone (apparently running slow on charge) for what turned into 2 hours over time. I wasn’t laying down on the seats or disruptive in any way. Like I’ve seen people be. Yet I was singled out.

I shopped 7/10/2022 July Ten twenty-twenty-two. Around noon (12:00pm (afternoon)) I was looking for some dairy (not from dairy cows) for my all new Apple Cinnamon Toast Crunch Breakfast Cereal and what occurred next had me hornswoggled. I skipped around the corner, giddy as can be, three ripped milkmen stood towering over me, I mustered out with my squeaky voice (when compared to these three ripped milkmen that were towering over me) if they sold almond-milk. They inquired into why I couldn't drink the cow's milk, was it that I wasn't man enough? I was brought to an inner dialogue questioning my own manhood. With that said, the largest of the three men stepped forward with a glimmer in his beautiful brown eyes and put his hand on my head, barely having to reach up his arm, and said, (these words I'll never forget) "The fridge behind holds what you seek". I audibly gasped and slowly turned around and heard "behold, the milk." and the other two milkmen in unison echoed the phrase "behold, the milk" (they must practice) I studied the fridge's contents (which were quite extensive) looking for my fix of almond milk, it was... nowhere to be found, the beautiful man with flowing locks of brown hair (he must use high quality conditioner (only found at Giant Food Stores)) had misled me and made me feel like the shell of a man I know I am. I dropped to my knees and cried out to the heavens above "why have these three ripped milkmen forsaken me?" The largest of the three picked me up by the nape of my neck, my knees fled from the cold hard ground. I was carried to the back of the store and shown their back-stock of the most delectable, mouthwatering Original Extra Creamy Almond Silk (only 90 calories per serving, serving size: one singular cup) I looked to the milkman, the largest of the three, we had a momentary embrace before I knew in my heart of hearts it was time to flee from this well maintained highly clean store, (janitor must be working overtime)there was off-white creamy milk to be consumed with my Apple Cinnamon Toast Crunch alongside spoon-fulls of Cinnamon Toast Crunch Creamy (The perfect match for my creamy almond milk) Cinnamon Spread. As I was walking out I glanced back one last time, we locked eyes he gave me his classic dentist approved milkman smile. The cashier was pleasant I guess.

Generally a good grocery store. Has a very nice international section, bakery, and a section for gluten free and less processed foods. My only complaint is that when you do self check out it can often feel uncomfortable with the amount of eyes on you. I understand why a worker would need to be watching but it feels like they're accusing me of stealing without saying it, feels very awkward and cold.

Out of all the giants in York County this one is my favorite. The store is generally clean. The staff is helpful. There's this 1 particular gentleman that does the grocery pick UPS and he is fantastic making sure that you are well taken care of. My only complaint would be the grumpy old women that they put on register that don't want to be there. If you hate your job so much find a different one and it's not my fault

This is the worst Giant in the area. I would give other Giants 5 stars around the area, but this one is terrible. Most of the workers look like zombies, and those that don't are rude. The store and bathrooms are consistently dirty. The parking lot is fairly tight and small, and the rest of the plaza it's connected to can make it difficult to get in and out.

I live in York County Pennsylvania and shop at Giant. I have tried all the Giant Stores in the County and this Giant Store on Market Street and in my opinion is the cleanest, most organized and well stocked store in York County. My hats off to the Store Manager and his entire staff for making such an impression on me. I wished I lived closer to experience such a well-managed and maintained store. Thank you. You must check out this Giant Store if you are in the area.

I called the bakery on Christmas Eve about 4 pm to inquire if they had any apple pies left. Mark said there were a few and then offered to put one aside for me since I was on my way. I also asked him if he could get a blueberry pie. He chose great pies for me!! Above & beyond regular service!!

I've been shopping at Giant my entire adult life. I recently moved to York and this is the closest one. This is the worst Giant I have ever gone to. The employees that work here are so rude. It's not just one either. They block aisles, they practically push you out of the way while you're shopping. The last straw that caused me to write this review came today. I was walking up an otherwise empty aisle, along the right side. An employee rounded the corner pushing a cart and aimed right at me. She looked me in the eye the entire time she was pushing her cart towards me and I had to cross the aisle to get out of HER way. This is just one example of many similar incidents I could give. What ever happened to customer service and making sure your customers are having a pleasant experience? I started going to the one up in Manchester even though it's further unless I have other errands to run on Market Street. They are much nicer up there.

For a large supermarket chain, they tend to do things decent and there produce is better than their competitions across the street in my opinion. Well I can serve them to be one of the best choices in town for our mainstream supermarket. I don't understand why they're Deli doesn't offer anything other than chicken nuggets for their wings.
