Seems like they like to always close an hour earlier than supposed too… you guys should update your hours if your gonna completely do your own thing and lock up when ya feel like it

I want to give special thanks for the workers in this CVS. No one knows that during the lockdown. They were our essential workers. Give them credit. Reminder everyone to focus on being a content creator. No one wants to work no more. If they are low on staff. Give them a brake. It is not their fault. It is corporate at fault for not recruiting more employees.

Tried to call and get the name/brand/pill count of the two prescriptions I need filled. The woman who answers the phone has either a slight accent or doesn’t understand how to speak up on the phone. She was rude and acted like I was wasting her time with my 40second phone call. When I asked for the pill count I couldn’t tell if she said 14 or 40. I said I’m sorry it’s hard to hear you and she hung up on me! I now have to drive to the store location to see if I can even afford my medications because I couldn’t find out the correct info so I could use goodrx. Can be sure that I will ask who answered my phone call and make a scene about it. I’ve never in my life been one to do that sort of thing but that was ridiculous! Will be doing all that I can to get that scum woman fired!

Leisha was super attentive! Greeted me when I came in and even turned to make eye contact when she said good morning. While checking out I used the wrong Register and even though she was stocking she saw came over happy to help me.

I attempted to speak to the pharmacy to relay some fairly important information. I was on hold for 20 minutes with no answer. I called back and asked to speak to the store manager. After another 10 minute wait the manager came on the line. She didn't give a name or introduce herself as the manager. I explained my difficulties in speaking to the pharmacy. Her only reply was that they were short staffed and very busy. I restated my frustration and told her this was very poor customer service. She stated there was nothing she could do about the issue and offered to transfer my call to the pharmacy again. I explained I didn't have another 20 minutes to spend on the phone. She then told me well, I can't tell you how long you'll be on hold but I could come to the pharmacy and pick up my order. I never received an apology or any indication that she felt the problem to be an inconvenience or poor customer service. I hope corporate reads this and takes corrective action immediately. Sooner if possible. Worst customer service experience ever. This store is at 1700 North George st. York Pa.

This store NEVER answers the phone. I walked in the store with them having placed me on hold and I was hung up on after 24 minutes. I just had an issue with transferring prescriptions, where the pharmacist had no time for me, the person who did try to help went to the blame game immediately! I resolved my own issue by contacting my doctor's office. On my way away from the counter the store manager was telling a staff that the copy machine was "a hit or miss" situation, this is not ok EVER, in a pharmacy. Avoid this store!

Switch your pharmacy asap! They never have your medication ready on time. They’ll have you sitting in the drive through for 30 min plus before greeting you. -5 stars . Terrible!!👎🏾👎🏾

I wish I could give them negative stars. This pharmacy is by far the worst one in York County. They made 2 HUGE mistakes on my script that affected my pic up date. They didn't find the mistake, I did. They didn't even apologize for it. They were so Rude. I don't understand how ppl can still have a job when making Huge mistakes on my med dosing and the quantity. If I didn't find the error I would have been without my meds for 20 days! Unacceptable!

Worst pharmacy I've ever been to. Unfriendly staff, particularly over the phone, and awful customer service. Complaints furnished with management are often ignored. Had to call corporate many times to resolve issues. If my health insurance didn't require me to use CVS I would never go to any CVS again.

My partner has been very sick. We went to urgent care tonight and the provider sent a prescription for a Medrol Dose Pak. I called at 6pm to make sure they were open normal hours because of Veterans Day; I was on hold for 30 minutes and nobody ever picked up the call. We drove 20 minutes to a pharmacy location off of George Street in York, PA. When we arrived we waited. When we got to the register to pickup the medication we were told that it wasn’t showing up in the system. We were told to go to the drop off window and talk to the pharmacist. After waiting 20 minutes in line he told us that nothing was received by the Urgent Care and to call them. So, we stepped outside and called. We confirmed that it was sent to CVS on George Street and had the provider double check to confirm since we had gone through the trouble and waited. We went back to the drop off window and waited again for 15 minutes. He told us that they haven’t received it, he has 10 vaccinations to do and several other prescriptions to fill and we could wait 2 hours if we wanted. My partner has been weak and tired so we left. The prescription isn’t showing as even pending on the CVS Mobile App. While we were there the pharmacist was cussing, complaining about being under staffed and other pharmacy locations in our town also being so under staffed that only a pharmacist is working, that location is closed on the weekend and it is causing an influx in the number of patients coming to the George Street location. While we were there the phone rang numerous times and nobody answered the phone. The drive thru is also closed because nobody is able to manage those patients coming in. This is not the first number of issues we have experienced with this location and others CVS offers. We will be switching pharmacies and cannot believe the horrible level of service and care.

Staff is pretty cocky. The Pharmacy doesn't answer their phones until 3 calls later of you being on hold for 45 minutes all 3 times. They also kept running me around about my medications and first told me by the time i got down there(which is a 10 minute walk for me) my medications weren't ready. They then informed me it would be another 1 hour and half.

Jeff the manager has the worst customer service. I asked for help with self checkout. First he spoke to me from across the store almost. Then i told him i need his assistance for self checkout out. He proceed to tell me to hold on while he took his time putting together a photo order. It took him about 5 mins and I figured out the self checkout without the CVS managers assistance. After he finished putting together his photo order he finally came over as my receipt was printing out. I told him no and he walked without any salute. No Apologies no thank you no have great day. The worst example for a leader!! CVS should have at least one person at a register. Having self checkout only is horrible customer service. CVS and the manager they chose completely unprofessional.

My doctor’s office phoned in a refill because my mail-in Rx company did not. I spoke to the nurse and they said that they would phone it in. CVS refused to refill it since they were assuming that Optum Rx had already refilled it. I attempted to call CVS to explain what had transpired and I was on hold for over 1 hour and 15 minutes before I hung up. I attempted to contact CVS through another number or a different area of the store, explaining my dilemma and she was rude and when I mentioned that this was HEART MEDICATION, nothing that would induce a high or addiction and that it could be life threatening. I also mentioned contacting my lawyer. She then said she’d send me back to a special line in the pharmacy. I hang up after being on hold for 20 minutes. I still don’t have my heart medication.

Absolutely horrible I had a doctors appointment at 12 o’clock they called in my prescription at 12:30 Dr. said they should have it ready in a half an hour nope I tried at 2 pm to get it and again at seven I tried to get in at eight was my last try and I they said they did not have anything for me at all it was still processing but yet the automated system said that it was processing. I called and was on hold for 40 mins and they still said it was not ready 10 mins before they closed yet I was to start taking the meds right away. finally at 9:15 after the stores closed I got a text message that my medication is ready Yep after their closed and now I have suffer another night. I go back the next day no drive-through again only two people working the line is backed up to the main entrance again. how are we supposed to get our medication that we need when we are in pain. We don’t have all day to stand around this is ridiculous. It is now 24 hours past the time that my doctor called in my prescriptions and still no Med I will be transferring my meds to another rx Oss recommends the one on queen street so yep I’m changing all my meds to them. Horrible place and not nice staff at all

Normally, despite having to wait too long on hold (they need more people available to answer the phones,) I find their pharmacy techs to be very kind and helpful. Yhe first week I moved to another area and changed from Etters to this store was a nightmare. I cried more than once that week because they were unable to understand or just did not transfer my scripts which led to nearly every day trips to the pharmacy, along with endless phone calls to both my doctor and both pharmacies. After about a two week period, this was all resolved. I now found the pharmacy techs to be kind and more than helpful. However, tonight, Monday June 14th. I encountered ...perhaps a new pharmacy tech? Who acted like I was bothering her. I have 8 prescriptions there...trust me CVS...THEY ain't cheap!! You do not want to lose me as a customer, so find out who this Chick is and give her some better training.

So this morning I inquired about getting canvas prints done and was told it would be ready in 15 minutes… I’ve called multiple times and came into the store TWICE and they kept telling me just 15 more minutes. I went one final time to see what’s going on and I was told they’ll just call me when it’s ready. I already waited 5 and a half hours for this. So I wanted to get reimbursed and it was a hassle just for that!! I don’t recommend getting canvas prints from here at all.

If you are looking for a dependable pharmacy, keep looking. The George Street location has become horrible. Not only are they constantly out of stock on medication. They don’t inform you until you wait in the twenty minute line at the store. I switched to Weis and have had zero issues.

I’ve been using this location for over 3 years now and they definitely improved from how they used to be. I get texted when the prescription is ready for pickup. I typically pull up to the drive thru to get the prescription. If the drive thru line looks long I’ll just head inside. Never had any issues honestly… I would suggest to refill your prescription before you’re completely out of it though; like when you have a week supply left of your medication. I find this helps just in case on the rare occasions they don’t have the medication and gives plenty of time to get it in. I never had any issues with rude staff, if I did I would obviously say something to the manager on duty and not Google LOL (some of these reviews make me laugh) Only real issues are they’re under staffed some days but the staff is still friendly and you can tell they’re working their best.

This place is the bain of my existence, I need meds just to deal with the frustration of getting my meds. So from the top, here it is..First, rude unhelpful staffSecond, often can't find pending prescriptions in their system, I have to tell them where and how to find them.Third, often can't figure out how to put them through my insurance, resulting in them being denied. I have a pretty common plan from a large carrier, so it shouldn't be that hard.Fourth, often out of the few, very common meds I'm on, resulting in further delays getting them filled. If I had other choices with my insurance, I would definitely seek another pharmacy to get them filled. CVS is a joke, and this one in particular is the worst!

AMAZING service from CVS employee Jimmy. We were having difficulties with photo printing and he was more than happy to help us out. He has a very positive attitude and wonderful customer service skills. 10/10 great interaction and will definitely come back :)

Been using them for years. They're not bad, it's just because covid has taken a toll on so many employees and not enough people wanna become pharmacists so they don't have enough staff. I was even supposed to get ahold of my doctor for a refill and they still managed to let my doctor know and I didn't have to do anything. They're not bad, just as effected by covid as everyone else

They never have prescriptions ready despite text notifications that it's ready. They waste your time and ask you to come back in a half hour. When they do have a prescription ready be prepared to wait in line for a half hour. Extremely slow service.

I scheduled a covid testing appointment as it was the only one available for my son in the area at 3pm. After waiting in line 40 minutes and noting both drive thru lanes read full service, they wanted us to go around and get in line again because we weren't in the lane closest to the building, which was lane 1 where they 'only do testing'. There's no instruction of this in the little video they send you or outside in the drive thru lanes. We were sick and exhausted but got out there anyway and cannot believe anyone could be so rude or absurd as to say oh well you'll just have to go around AND GET BACK IN LINE. This cvs is always busy yet way way slower than the others at moving a line and then theres always the fun slice of rude when you reach the finish to kill your mood and day.

If I could give 0 stars I would. My child takes adderall and each time I’ve refilled a script they never have any in stock. I’m beginning to wonder if someone there has a problem! This month the dr called it in, 2 days later I go by to get another script and they claim they never got my drs script for the adderall (yeahnokay 4 days ago) THEN he sends it in AGAIN and SHOCKERRRR I get a text saying they’re out! That was 2 days ago I call today and the woman tells me they JUST ORDERED IT THIS AM! So my child with ADHD now has to go the weekend when school stuff is due bc they can’t get their job straight? If your kid takes adderall DONT SEND THE SCRIPT TO GEORGE STREET YOULL NEVER GET THE MEDICATION!!Edit: it has been 10 DAYS AND THE MEDICATION IS STILL “ON ORDER” DO NOT GO HERE!!

There are quarter size dust balls and just plain dirt on the register countersabout 3 feet from someone giving shots. They claim they can't fill orders for important meds such because of a lack of staff.. but they wouldn't be able to fit more staff behind the counter.. its very dirty and very poor service antibiotics

It took them almost 2 weeks to fill my prescriptions, they never answer the phone, you’ll be sitting on hold for well over 30 minutes. The delivery services for your prescriptions do not come on time either.

Time to find a new pharmacy. Never enough of a certain medication in stock for a loved one, month after month. If you don't want to serve your customers then they'll be very happy to go elsewhere.

Thought I'd never see anything worse than the Hanover CVS. Now I have. Absolutely filthy. Constant screw ups with prescriptions. Won't answer the phone. Head pharmacist sitting eating and drinking with no mask on. Absolutely ridiculous.
