I have 3 rescue dogs, that I bring in here, once a month, to get their nails clipped and one to be groomed. They always treat my dogs great and we’re always in and out in a timely manner. Great Place!

Took my dog in to have him groomed. I was quoted 53.00 when I called, I was never told it would be higher if there were any issues. My daughter picked him up and I was charged 63.00 but wasn't told why. I called and was told that he had some matting around his back end and because it took them extra time to fix it I was charged 10.00 extra. I wish we would have been told that ahead of time so that we would have been prepared for the price increase. I have been taking him somewhere else and never had that problem. The only reason I took him there was because they couldn't get him him until the end of May and he needed his nails trimmed and groomed before that.

Jamie does an amazing job on my dog! She is so friendly toward my pet and I know my dog is in great care while there! The shop is conveniently located off East Market Street in East York. I highly recommend Jamie's services for your pet.

So many people are so quick to bad mouth a business without even caring to find out all of the facts . The person that has a bad experience updated her post and the dogs entire ear did not get cut off , she admitted she didn’t have all the facts . Jamie is wonderful and loves all the animals that step foot in her door . She has been grooming our long haired German shepherd for years now without any incedent . She’s really good at what she does and she gets us in very quickly everytime I call at the last second . I will continue to do my business with her . My dog loves going there and pulls me through the door to go in !

Please take your pets here!! I brought in my elderly cat this week because I was at my wits end trying to make him NOT look like the cat from the pet cemetery and honestly I wish I did it sooner! My cat has horribly dry skin and lots of dandruff and just is a generally dirty guy so I was hoping for a miracle and this girls did it! We’re three days passed his appointment and he’s still looking better than he has for YEARS! They double bathed him, deep conditioned him, brushed him out, clipped his nails, cleaned his ears, and gave him a great hygiene trim for an amazing price! He was very zen when we got home so they must have given him extra loving there! I brought his dog brother in the following day for his appointment and the sweet groomer remembered and asked how the cat was doing! All the staff is soooo sweet and they definitely love the pets they take care of! Can’t wait to take my pets back for their next appointment! :)

Absolutely worst first experience ever with a groomer, my girlfriend took our dog to be shaved and bathed and he ended up having a chunk of his ear cut off. This place needs shut down immediately after this and all of the other horrific reviews I’ve read. Do not take your pet there.

Great groomers. We take our cat Holly twice a year for her shampoo and nails clipped. They are very friendly with take great care of their 4 legged friends. They come highly recommended.

Always get my cat in for a trim and bath. I always go there. Love them! They are always busy which, if there was so much bad stuff supposedly happening, they would be out of business. My wife and daughter read all those negative reviews and didn't want me to take her there but I like the groomers and I still take here there every month.

Great experience at Bow Wow & Meow Pet Grooming. My dog got sprayed by a skunk at 5am and Jamie was able to make time for us 815am. So thankful. She is a great person and does great work! After the stressful morning and grooming it was nap time when we got home!

My mother took in our rag doll in for a groom today. He is an older cat and gets bad knots. Upon pickup he was laying in the carrier not moving a muscle, his belly was still not shaved and he was still soaking wet. My mother immediately took him to the vet and they found his body temperature extremely low from being wet for a long period of time. He almost died today because this groomer had no care at all about him. Will not recommend this place to absolutely anyone! There are several other reviews about pets being left wet and poorly treated! This will not be swept under the rug and action will be taken.

The owner of the shop has always bend over backwards to try and help customers and their dogs and cats. The cat people that are leaving negative reviews have no idea of the full events that day. The lady had forgot to mention the cat was in terrible matted condition also frail from old age while she brought the cat dehydrated to the shop to be groomed. The owner tried to do her a favor and help the cat get a haircut. She simply couldn't finish the cat and referred to the vet to finish as a responsible shop owner. Also no one threatened the customer. We simply asked for the proof she seen the vet. All grooming shops have attorney and insurance and when a customer claims something these accounts need to see the paperwork before money can be refunded. The lady refused. And the customer and her son threatened the shop owner from day 1. There was no need for all the social media negativity or threatening phone calls made by the customers or their friends. This a place of business

If I could give 0 stars, I would. Absolutely do NOT take your pets here!! This groomer has had multiple horrible reviews in the past few weeks including drugging a cat to the point of near death and CUTTING A HUGE CHUNK OF FLESH OFF A DOGS EAR!! The posts are on Facebook. The woman who's dogs ear was sliced has pictures of it as well. It is HORRIFIC looking. If you care about your pets, spend a little extra and take them somewhere SAFE!! This place should be shut down!! Don't let these people hurt your animals just to save a little money.

My regular groomer is out indefinitely so I took my MC here. They did a fantastic job!! I also have mobility issues and the staff was so kind carrying out the carrier for me when I picked him up. I would definitely recommend this groomer.Thank you on a job well done!!

Took my yorkie for grooming. Came out with a bleeding eye, for some mysterious reason. As the groomer says “she was fine a few minutes ago”. DO NOT TAKE YOUR PETS HERE. THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT THEM AND DO NOT TREAT THEM AS THEIR OWN. They need to be shutdown. Immediately

I almost went to this Groomer, but then I read the reviews and saw that they abuse animals on top of that when I called this last time, the woman on the phone was very rude didn’t seem to care about my concerns or answer any of my questions when I asked about years of experience, who would be grooming my boy, etc. once she described to me the building they were in I was told that you can hear kids screaming through the walls which will distress my boy so I told her I was going to cancel my appointment and she didn’t seem to care. She just said okay in a rude manner, and hung up. I highly recommend people do not go to this Groomer, if you cherish your fur baby, as I cherish mine, you will do your research before ever going into a groomer like this.

I have been dealing with trying to find a reliable and good groomer for awhile. Glad I discover the location by google. The ladies are friendly, professional and excellent with my pet. My dog has high anxiety and they were so great working with my him. I felt very welcome and relax that my pet was in great hands. Definitely will be going back. I highly recommend them.

Called for pricing and was able to get in same day. Did a great summer cut on our Pom, had no issues. Was friendly to our fur baby. We'll be returning when he needs a trim again.5/5/2022 Called to see if they had any availability to get my Pom in for his summer cut. I was able to bring him in right away yesterday morning before I had to go into work. Jamie got to work on Rocket right away and was a bit rushed to get me to work on time. Later after I got home from work my husband pointed out some choppy cuts in his hair. I touched base with her last evening and she got him in first thing this morning to fix his haircut. She's great and so friendly.

Took my dog in today and was thoroughly impressed! My dog suffers from high anxiety and was able to get her nails clipped and her face groomed with no problem. I was so happy with how she turned out after her visit. The staff there was very friendly, and we will be going back again for sure. Thanks Bow Wow & Meow!

This place is great! She was very friendly, not only with me but most importantly with my cats. She groomed my kitten (first time being groomed), as well as my big 25 pound cat. She was great at handling them and she did great work with both of them. My big cat sheds so much and the blow out and brush she gave him helped out a lot! We will definitely be returning!

So very thankful for these ladies.. My grandma is sick and she came to live with us and brought her 10 yr old pomeranian. She hadn't been groomed for a couple year.. They got her in the same day and were completely amazing with her and let me come in and help with her to calm her down.. She was having an anxiety attack and coughing uncontrollably.. They were fair priced also.. Would recommend these ladies to anyone looking.. Thank you ladies again.. Greatly appreciated

Jamie was great. We brought our cat there on short notice after she got covered in oil. Many places in York don't even do cat baths. Jamie was able to get all of the oil out of our cat's fur and got her completely clean and fluffy again. Our cat was clean and happy when she got home! Very friendly, professional, and fairly priced.

I never seen so many people go off of what another person said. 20 years no complaints but a 17yr old cat giving out and the odds are it’s “their fault”. I’m sure anybody who took the time to comment is just as gullible and miserable as the person who blamed death on another person as a way to coupe with the loss of their 17 year old cat, yes 17 years old.
