Marli will be five soon and has never gone to any other groomer. They have always done a wonderful job since his very first cut! ……with a price that’s actually amazing. They have always treated us well and Marli loves it! I appreciate the the care and love they give to him! I’ve heard the horror stories of groomers. Thankfully this isn’t one!!! Top notch in my book. Won’t be going anywhere. Ever. Lol

This shop has repeatedly given our Golden Doodle Razor burn. The first time, we thought it was just a skin condition. The 2nd time we suspected razor burn. But now, after this 3rd time, we are done. Convinced that the shop is harming our dog.We will NOT use them ever again and cannot recommend them to anyone else. Her shop is understaffed and overworked and it is showing in her care of our dog.

Bark of the Town does a great job with my golden retriever! Each time we take her there, they tell us how good she is for them. Prices are reasonable and they offer lots of services. Each time we go, other customers are always raving about how much they love Bark of the Town too.

Bark of the Town is the place to go!! We utilized a mobile groomer for our puppies first cut and we weren't happy with the experience. After some searching and reading reviews, we settled on Bark of the Town in York. The staff are excellent and make our timid puppy feel comfortable. They also listened to what we wanted and made it happen. A day before our wedding day, they gave our puppy a nice bath and fluffed her up so she was perfect for our pictures - we just love the feathers in her hair. Thank you, Bark of the Town!!!!

Amazing Groomer in the East York area. Only groomer I used for the passed 2y while living in York. So kind and friendly. Always took the best care of my (highly anxious) 8 year MaltePoo. Super reasonably priced. Can be booked out 4-6 weeks but I recommend rebooking in person after every appointment to avoid calling them unnecessarily. They take less than 24hrs to respond to a voicemail. Thank you Bark of the Town for taking the best care of my baby Kit-Kat during my stay in York, Pa

Rascal is 13 and never had a grooming. We had several neighbors and friends recommend you. We were so nervous. He loved Cailey. She was so gentle and kind. We will definitely come back again. Just so grateful for them all.

Pam is the best, always treats my pups with care. I have a disabled pup and he always is happy to go get a grooming and happy when he comes home. Pomeranians are full of fur and they always do such a nice job.

They did an excellent job with our very shaggy boy. He was a mess of thick, shedding fur as well as matted fur around his ears and hind legs. They brushed him out, trimmed and shaped him, and even clipped his nails (somehow, without upsetting him!). He looks AMAZING and smells better than he ever has! Even after a swim in the pool, he still smells so good. Will definitely take him to Bark of the Town from now on instead of trying to groom him at home.

Bark of the Town has been grooming my dog (Lhasa Apso) for the entire (13) years I’ve had him. Up until his most recent visit, I have always been pleased with his care and appearance and have actually recommended the groomer to friends and acquaintances as a trustworthy and reliable place to go. But I will take him there no longer after his most recent visit a few weeks ago. After his last drop off for grooming, Bark of the Town called us a bit later to say that “he’s finished and ready to be picked up.” That was it. No other comments. When we arrived to pick him up the groomer carried our dog out to us and told us, “while I was trimming him I accidentally cut him and he may need to go to a vet to get a stitch or two.” She gave us the name of a local veterinarian and told me that Bark of the Town would cover any costs involved for his care if we thought this was necessary. His wound was in his neck area under his ear. It was a deep cut with his skin split apart. To be clear here, no one at Bark of the Town said “We are so sorry this happened.” We were charged the full price for the grooming. We contacted the vet immediately as we knew he needed prompt medical attention. The vet ended up putting in (4) stitches. He also had to put him asleep before stitches could be put in. He told us that as an older dog, giving anesthesia can be risky as some dogs sometimes don’t come out of it. We were so worried and stressed about this, he said the stitches need to be put in. Thankfully he recovered and had the stitches removed. Through his entire process, from beginning to end, no one from Bark of the Town reached out to see how he was doing. No one offered a partial refund or credit for the poor service that was provided. No one showed any genuine concern for the dog that they had been grooming for (13) years. No apology was ever offered. We can’t expect everyone to love our dogs as much as we do. So do your research when deciding on who to take your pet to.

Our Precious Goldendoodle comes out of Bark of the Town looking like a Super Star. After each appointment, I look forward to smelling her. Lol, it's not so weird considering that she smells fresh and so clean. We are absolutely pleased with the level of care they provide, and her haircut has never disappointed us.

Pam and Chelsea are awesome.They take the time to listen to how each pet is to be groomed and deliver excellent results. I could not ever take our dogs anywhere else. Our oldest is 16 and has been groomed at Bark of the Town since she was 1 year old.

Wouldn’t take our puppy anywhere else. Staff is knowledgeable and genuinely care about the pets and owners. Recommended a cut for our Pomeranian and she looks great. Clean facility and reasonable pricing. Highly recommend Bark of the Town.

Difficult to give a fair rating to this establishment as I have never been there although it appears I may have driven past it at some point.If I did drive past it, I didn't realize it so my rating will consist of a very short and concise review.I am sure the building which houses this establishment was built to the latest and finest building codes in whatever municipality, borough, township, etc in which it resides because Pennsylvania has very strict building codes and inspection procedures that are followed to the very letter of the law with zero tolerance for deviation just like the voting laws in Pennsylvania (unless officials are bribed with political favors or copious amounts of money).

Max loves to come to see the groomers and bark at the other dogs. Staff know just how to make him comfortable...he enjoys the experience. Reasonable cost. I call before I take Max since he needs no other service...usually available same day just for nails.

My little buddy had been going to another grooming facility, but I began noticing he was actually trembling when he was taken there. So I stopped taking him there and after several months I took him to Bark of the Town.The staff was very friendly and, what is more important, they were extremely gentle with my little buddy. I explained my concerns and the staff paid attention to me. The proof came when I and went to pick him up. He came out of the back jumping around, waging his tail, and acting as if he'd spent the day at a spa with his best friends. I can't say enough about the difference in his behavior between the two grooming facilities.The cost was very reasonable and I was stunned, literally, when it came time to pay the bill. I was expecting a bill similar to or more than the other groomer, especially when I saw the excellent job they did at Bark of the Town.Instead, the bill was less than half what I had paid at the other place.I would recommend Bark of the Town to anyone, especially if your furry child is a timid one. I, well, my Little Buddy and I will be going back there when it's time for his bath and trim.

We were having problems with our Alaskan Malamute shedding her spring coat. This place got all of her undercoat off and did a great job cleaning her up. All at a price way below the competition. We are new loyal customers and highly recommend that you give them a shot!

I have two cats (a long-haired and a short-haired) and a French bulldog puppy and all three visit the shop on a regular basis. My puppy gets so excited every time he visits, I'm sure my cats would rather be home in a sunspot! All three of my animals are shown nothing but the highest quality of care; the stylists are very friendly and extremely knowledgeable and the salon is always so clean! This makes me feel at ease leaving my pets in their care! My cats have never looked better and their coats are so soft and shiny! Bark of the Town really cares about their furry client's well-being and it shows in the products they use. I would highly recommend this grooming salon to anyone who is looking for quality service from a caring staff!

Learned today if you are related to the owner customer service is NOT a requirement. There is a shortage of groomers in this area, but I will find another one. I have recently been working with the owner of Bark of the Town Grooming Salon and he is incredibly professional. The pet "stylists" are excellent and have many years of experience working with animals. I know that they all have animals of their own and treat the pets who come to Bark of the Town with the care that they show to their own animals.
