What a wonderful, intimate shopping experience with many “can’t find anywhere else” items on the shelves. Even in a pinch, their prepared food section is always fresh and love the customer service and friendliness of all the staff behind the counters and cash register. Also very noteworthy is their butcher department with the best money can buy.

I shop at this Yardley area location on occasion. It’s located in the Lower Makefield shopping 🛍 center close to my Newtown Pennsylvania office so I’m able to pick up groceries or lunch 🥙 when needed. They have a extensive food bar . Their is also a great selection of, plants , flowers 💐, desserts 🍨 beverages , meats 🥩 , produce 🍏 baked goods, cakes 🎂 and general groceries . The store is often busy but they usually seem to have the needed staff. The selection of groceries, wine🍷 and house hold goods is great.

good store especially for hard to find items. it's a little on the pricey side. we like their hot bar and salad bar..UPDATE REVIEW..10/3 so my son got married yesterday was last minute I needed a wedding cake noone would do it. Someone suggested here.i didn't think they did wedding cake. So anyways I had to drive an hour with this cake. I picked it up yesterday and she did AMAZING it was absolutely beautiful the pictures don't do it justice. The frosting was sparkling was so good too. And she put it in a box so transportation was easy. I HIGHLY recommend her for cakes. I cant rave enough and price is good too.

It’s dark in here. It’s older, and challenging to navigate if your not a frequent shopper. It’s clean, but cluttered with allot of floor displays. Compared to the Newton location, this is a farm stand. Customer service was very helpful in telling me that the items I was looking for were at the Newtown location, they don’t carry allot because “we’re a small store”

So I wanted to order Tomahawks steaks and was told I was late to the game on Thursday. I was shocked at this response. I shop there all the time. I know it’s busy but that was uncalled for. I did order and am getting them on Saturday.

The produce is fresh and offers a wide selection of items you can't get everywhere, but the bakery section, fresh seafood and butcher counters, premade foods district, and fancy cheese bunker are where these stores really shine. If you need a box of Kraft mac & cheese, go to Giant. It's cheaper there. But if you need a community grocery store with a salmagundi of friendly, knowledgeable professionals who can recommend a good cut of meat or an exquisite personalized baked good, or if you want a place to get an easily reheatable weeknight meal (or some crazy good side dishes for a holiday party), this is the place to go.

When it comes to customer service, McCaffrey's is not what it used to be! I have been coming here for over 30 years and I even worked there through H.S & college, so I know how amazing it used to be - but since COVID it has been terrible! The staff is not friendly, the cashiers barely greet you and overall, it is just not a family like, enjoyable shopping experience anymore.Just yesterday, I asked the girl at the courtesy counter about a change in policy for using a store coupon and military discount. She proceeded to show me the small print on the back of the coupon and pointed to a sign on the courtesy counter. Back in the day of Murray & Joe, they would have allowed me to get the discount one more time and not treated a customer as poorly as I was treated - especially not one that is such a regular! McCaffrey's has always been much pricier than other stores, but I stayed loyal because of the friendliness of staff, the excellent management and superior customer service all around! I definitely think management needs to tap into the McCaffrey's from 10-15 years ago and how they can improve upon the experience of the shopper, how to go above and beyond and how to make the customer feel special. Without that unique approach, McCaffrey's will just become an overpriced version of Giant and many of us will be running to Wegman's when it opens. Improvements are definitely needed!

Horrible customer service. My wife purchases their store brand hummus. Took a bit and bit down on a rock in their hummus and cracked two of her teeth. She spit out the tooth and rock. Store referred her to their insurance who DENIED reimbursement for dental copay because she didn't save her spit. Horrible customer service. #boycott McCaffrey's.

The bakery is good; the rest is usually overpriced and disappointing. Bought a steak there that turned out to be nice. Definitely avoid the sushi though. Not a big fan of the smug attitude, either.

Great store the food is wonderful, but the cashier Kathy is beyond RUDE. The check out lines were backed up only 3 were open. Kathy opened register 4 and said next in line. i started walking towards her line with my 1 item. Kathy pushed me out of the way and said not you and called for another man 4 rows down with a cart full of grocery's. A man standing behind me looked at me and said wow shaking his head. i waiting until i was next in the the original line i was in and asked for a manager and reported Kathy for her ignorant behavior. as an customer i should have not been treated like that which i feel was done because i'm African American and she should have not put her hands on me she needs to be fired.

I went in today to select a few items from your prepared foods counter. I asked for a pound of bulgar w/toasted corn and peppers - this had no flavor whatsoever. I also purchased 2 cod cakes - they had a strange texture and again, no taste at all. I did get a few other items that were ok, but nothing was above just satisfactory. The bulgar and the cod cakes were absolutely a waste of money and calories. What happened? We used to always purchase food at the end of our work day to take home for dinner and it was really good. I don’t think I will revisit that option again. Maybe taste the food that is available at that counter before selling. It’s a shame because Wegman’s is knocking on the door and people will spend their money where the product is good. I would try the food that is available at your prepared counters - you might be surprised.

Excellent food store, with a great selection of regular stuff and more gourmet items. It’s a little more expensive than giant but has a veterans discount which we appreciate. The real reason it only get 4/5 stars is the sound system. It sounds like the world is ending constantly with this weird static wave crashing sound happening all the time. the music choice can also get pretty weird.

Well organized store and courteous customer service. The merchandise and price are equivalent to whole Food.Enjoy small packages of cheese and olive bar. Surprised to find trans fat in the store-made brownies, which is not the case in Whole Food.

Their catering and bakery departments are great! We planned a birthday party for my husband and ordered tea sandwiches, garden salad, veggie and fruit tray, and a half sheet cake from McCaffrey's. Everything was very fresh, reasonably priced, well packaged, and the staff was very helpful in getting it out to our car. I just wish they offered delivery!

McCaffrey's is bit pricey but offers good quality products in exchange. This high-end grocery store also sells a wide-selection of prepared foods. Parking is plentiful and accessible.

Why is there not a “no stars” option?I’ve seen some bad cake writing…but McCafferys in PA has surpassed my idea of disappointment. It looks like a toddler wrote on the cake.Chris at Princeton and Zoya at West Windsor are the best cake decorators in the McCaffery’s franchise, leave it to them..please. Go out of your way if you have to, it’s worth it. I will never go back, not to mention, customer service is subpar.

Look out Wegmans and Whole Foods, McCaffrey’s is gunning for first place. The fresh seafood selection here is where it’s at. Amazing quality and although it can be pricey, you get what you pay for. Hosting a fancy soirée? Make this your stop.

Produce, bakery, fresh juice (non pasteurized) sometimes they have local farmers items that they sell like they cookies or cake sometimes maybe just cookies... It's not a bad place but again it's not for a person that is looking to save a lot of money this location is not it

I live about a mile away from this store and it has been my favorite grocery store for the last 20 years that I have lived in Lower Makefield.As a single woman, I have long enjoyed their prepared foods. But over the past couple of years, this store has gone downhill. They have started putting extremely hot red pepper flakes in a lot of their prepared foods that never used to have this ingredient. This makes the food inedible except for people who like extremely spicy/hot food. Unless you read the tiny 4-point type on the labels, you will never know that the food you bought contains this horribly hot ingredient until AFTER you have cooked or otherwise prepared it.I have written to several people in upper management of this store a couple of times about this issue but never got a response. That makes me think they really don't care about this long-term customer.Tonight it happened once again. I bought some fried chicken wings from the store and cooked them in the oven. Took one taste and discovered there was NO WAY I would ever be able to eat them because they have extremely hot red pepper flakes in them!!!I realize some people like extremely hot red pepper flakes in their food. All I'm asking is that McCaffrey's CLEARLY LABEL their prepared foods with red pepper flakes. But thus far they have ignored me. It's difficult to read through tiny type looking for this ingredient.They should be willing to do their customers a favor by BOLDLY and CLEARLY labeling the food that contains this ingredient. I am unclear as to why they don't care and don't want to bother. That's why they are getting fewer than 5 stars from this loyal customer of almost 20 years.Edit on September 4 -- McCaffrey's response to this review once again shows they just don't care and they completely miss the point. They're content to force their customers to read tiny, 4-point type on every prepared food they make to see if there is now an offensive ingredient that they never put in that food before.
