For the love of anything DO NOT SHOP HERE. Their hygiene policies are atrocious. They make the employees out frozen cross contaminated foods BACK after they've been melted and spoiled. I've worked here and I've seen it. Do NOT get frozen items from this place. Here's some proof as well of the gross stuff they do.If you get sick from any groceries here you now know why(Cross contamination)

Since the pandemic and price gouging, it’s been one horrible shopping experience after the other. Last two times I went I was followed around the store by weird men who were not shopping. I don’t know what they were looking to do but it didn’t feel right or safe. I don’t want to fatally harm anybody in any store just to shop. It’s a shame because I believe some of the staff may be apart of whatever is going on with the dirty men following women. It was early in the morning both times. Women be careful and carry. If you’re a targeted individual then you have to deal with men trying to follow you for trafficking. Also had low down women making scenes during pandemic (didn’t realize they were being paid to harrass/get me to act up) money hungry poorly raised old women. Both cars pulled up next to me the day the weird homeless man was following around the store. My last time shopping at this store.

They usually have an okay selection. I wish they would brighten their lighting, it seems so dim in that store to me. It's usually crowded because it's a popular spot. The customer service is okay. They have a good amount of cashiers and self checkout lanes in order to move the traffic. Food selection is just like the rest of them. At this point I can't say that one market is better than the other. They all look the same now.

Worst shopping experience of my life .floors are dirty..and at one point I swore none worked there .I kept asking for help and the lady with her head scarf(worked there) was 5ft away from me. A while 20min.. I almost screamed from furry..that lady would come over do one thing and back to her podium..am latin and swore them black people were being racist against me and my girl..Thank God for kind customers..but they too seemed scared shopping in there🤦🏽‍♀️..NEVER AGAIN!! BESIDES THE FACT THAT IVE NEVER SEENED SUCH A MESS IN SHOP RITE.NO CUSTOMER SERVICE NO HELP.WORST EXPERIENCE OFF NY LIFE!!

Huge storeHuge store. With lots and lots of meat. Small Produce section. The aisles are very very long. And only have street signs on one end. One Isle will have a Street sign on the front of the aisle the nextwe'll have it on the back. Which makes it hard to find the shelf-stable items.

Each ShopRite is different. I liked the large variety of products, low prices & service here. I've shopped a few other ShopRite stores. But, this was my first visit you l to this location. I recommend this ShopRite to others, especially this location.

Nobody was help in finding a staff member to unlock the glass & give me dove soap. They either looked at each other & laughed. Or they showed me the key & said that they needed permission to open it. So after no help on the floor. I asked the self checkout cashiers since they work right near the locked glass. And the guy said no go ask someone near the microphone. How rude. If y’all not gonna unlock the body soaps for paying customers to buy. THEN KEEP THEM UNLOCKED & PUT THEM BACK WHERE THEY WERE!

At the deli counter, I asked the person to slice the lunch meat thin. He showed me a slice. I asked again thin please. He didn't adjust the blade at all, just sliced another piece and said hows that. The other store employee thought it was funny. I didn't.

This week paperbird detergent went on sale for this week they aren't putting out the soap so I'm disabled I had to go all the way to South philly on the bus to where whites shop in South philly to get the soap I live near broad and cheltenham ave. it's not the first time.

We did our shopping for Grace Safe Place Parenting and Nutrition Class. We all had to buy a dinner for a family of 4 for $10. It was so much fun shopping in the Shop Rite and seeing what everyone decided to do with their money. Our cashier was so patient with us, because it took a long time to check us all out... I so wish I could remember her name it was on Wednesday January 9th 2018 the check out line was #5 and it was around 7:30ish ... I just want her manger know she was wonderful and we appreciated this

One of the self cashiers was unnecessarily rude and flippant. I was having difficulty with the touch screen on the checkout machine. It seemed like it was freezing up. I politely asked the woman for assistance. She came over and did something to the machine and got it to work; then, (without saying anything), went back over to her station. I tried to ring up the next item, and the same thing happened. I was standing there for another minute and 1/2, tapping the screen, to no avail. The same woman who had helped me, saw me tapping the touch screen and did nothing. Finally, frustrated, I grabbed my bagged items and attempted to get back in line. She rudely asked: "Are you done?" I told her: "No, the touchscreen doesn't work!" She replied by saying: "It do work." I replied by saying, " Well, I must be retarded, (as I'm demonstrating in front of her what was happening), because it's not working for me!" Then, instead of just explaining what I was doing wrong, she said, "I'll get someone else to help you." It took another 8-10 minutes for someone else to assist me. I believe that (extra) delay was on purpose. The woman who finally did come over to help was very professional and patient; but, my experience with the initial cashier was so bad, I'm going to start doing my shopping at the Fresh Grocer up the street.

One of my favorite Parts about this grocery store is the sheer amount of Jamaican products available. It's pretty hard to find a lot of the stuff that stocked at ShopRite in other parts of philadelphia. Huge props to these guys! I love the fact they have shelf stable noodles, udon, ramen, and pretty much anything else you would like to find. It's also great that there is an Aldi nearby - between the two stores, you can get pretty much anything you could ever need, regardless of your dietary predispositions.

Good place to get halal meat with different cuts. Even one can get halal Turkey bacon here.Nearby is Burlington coat factory.Plenty of parking space is available here too.Fresh beef, chicken, and turkeys and goat, lamb all can be purchased here at one place.Nice place to do the grocery.

I typically visit this ShopRite every once in awhile since it's the closest to my home. However, since grocery shopping is my favorite pastime, this morning I went to two other ShopRites in the area before coming to this location. I wanted to see how the shopping experience at the other ShopRites were to see if I wanted to include them on my regular visits. Ultimately, this ShopRite has a superior shopping experience to that of the locations on Fox St and Front St, with the exception of an incident that happened this morning. I eat an animal-based diet, therefore I am very particular about the packaging and accessibility of my meat and seafood. I usually get my meat and seafood early in the morning from Fresh Grocer because the workers in the meat department and seafood department are so kind and friendly and are aware of how particular I am. For example, I typically need my meat cut thicker than what they have out and my seafood packaged for easy accessibility from my deep freezer. I've never had an issue with these requests. Today, around 9 am, I visited the seafood department at this ShopRite as they had a great deal on salmon. I requested that my salmon be cut in packaged in a particular way and the gentleman behind the counter literally told me "no". He told me I could either have it cut OR packaged that way, one or the other. Confused, I asked him what he meant and he kind of laughed it off but was obviously still frustrated with my request. Then, when he was almost done I saw that he was doing something a little different so I clarified my request. He told me, "you don't tell me how to do my job". I'm a very pleasant person and not one to argue. He continued and gave me my seafood and I told him "have a great day sir". As I did a little bit more shopping my frustration with my interaction increased and I ended up filing a complaint with his manager. Again, grocery shopping is my favorite thing to do and I wake up early on my weekends to do it. I was very frustrated with this experience and hope that he doesn't speak with other customers that way. I was never rude to him and I did explain to the manager that I go to the counter because I want my salmon packaged a certain way. If I didn't care, I would just get the pre-cut portions. The manager was kind and said that the employee admitted to everything I told him and apologized. Fresh Grocer, the store I typically get my meat and seafood from is a sister company to ShopRite so I will just be getting my food from there moving forward since they have the same sales. Other than this isolated experience with this individual employee, I enjoy shopping here.

ID to purchase medicine. Horrible staff. Some ugly looking staff lady said she was the manager and wouldn't let me purchase medicine without an ID. All she had to do was ask for my birthdate. Amd was saying stuff about me on my way out.

I am at this location at least 4 times a week and all the employees there are amazing!! Always helpful and courteous. The front end staff at self checkout and customer service are definitely some of the most patient and efficient workers I've encountered, considering I know that the company doesn't pay them well.... That's a whole other issue.

This is thee absolute worst ShopRite in Philly! I order a 1/2 pd. Of Cooper Sharp Cheese! The price on the markee in bold bright green says $7.99 per pound! The price listed on the package of cheese handed to me by the deli worker said $8.99 per pound! So I say excuse me sir you charged me the incorrect price, it's listed as $7.99 so he says, oh that's the wrong price!! So I say well you have to give it to me for the price advertised and listed!! He says I can't do that, I gotta give it to you for that price!!! Who's minding the store??? Think I'll give L& I a call!! Only in the black neighborhoods!! Sheesh!

Truck drivers don't come here for delivery. They don't care about your time. I was on dock but when shop rite truck drivers came they take me out from dock 3 times. Unloading time for 6 pallets 4 hours. If Shop rite don't respect other truck drivers just don't give us your load. Tell your drivers to bring you your load. I don't respect Shop rite anymore and I don't buy anything from them.

I placed a catering order here online for 100 pieces of fried chicken for an event. I received an email confirmation but when I got there the chicken hadn’t been prepared. After waiting about 30 minutes I was told there was a mixup with the ordering process and that the order was never printed out and delivered to the area that prepares the food.They tried to accommodate me by calling their affiliate but were unsuccessful. They did tell me that they had the quantity I needed but it was cold and in the refrigerator. I declined this because who wants refrigerated fried chicken So I was chicken-less for my event. I thought whatever, mixups and mistakes happen.Since I was in the mood for fried chicken I ordered 32 pieces for the next day for my family that would be coming over (the next day being Mother’s Day). The chicken was TERRIBLE!!! You can’t tell me that they didn’t use that REFRIGERATED chicken to prepare my order. There was so much breading on this chicken I couldn’t believe it! You could actually pull the breading off and see another layer of breading. It was horrible and inedible. I would not serve this to my family.One would think after the TOTAL screwup with my order and me not making a big deal about it, at least I could have gotten FRESH food. You pay TOP DOLLAR for catering and this is what they think about their customers. They think we will eat just anything!It was a total waste of money. This used to be my go-to spot for chicken when hosting events and I host a lot. I gave them a second chance to redeem themselves and they FAILED MISERABLY.. I was so disappointed. Food is expensive and we as consumers have options. If I put my faith in your business, all I ask is for you to deliver on what you promised. They’ve lost a faithful customer ✌🏾

I wanted to commend Kaseem who works in the kitchen who cooks and places the hot fried chicken out for customers. This young man is very professional and polite. Last week I encountered Kaseem as he was putting fresh hot chicken out but it was all dark meat. I asked if he would be putting any of the 10 piece mixed out. He told me he can cook some up and it will take 15mins for me. He went to the back and started frying up the mix batches and did so very quickly and precisely. I thanked him several times for his outstanding service!

I visit this Shoprite often, they are the only location that has formula in stock daily. I’ve never had a bad experience until today. After calling for days regarding baby formula I visited this Shoprite. I purchased all WIC items. I made sure by scanning them through the WIC app before heading to checkout. At the register I was told several of my items was not covered under WIC, when in-fact they were. The lead Darnella was called and was unreasonable and did not compromise with me. After asking her to retrieve the items that was WIC for me, she declined, dismissing my request and eventually walking off without an explanation and never returning. The cashier Deborah was nice and apologetic but yet I left the store dissatisfied.

This place has the worst service at the seafood department. Every time I come here I encounter the same two gentleman that are rude and unprofessional. I ordered crab legs as the gentlemen was bagging my order I said I would like them steamed.he responded with why didn’t you tell me you wanted them steamed. I said why didn’t you ask me. Then he proceeded to talk about me to the other people working with him. Ok sir cancel my order I can spend my money elsewhere with employees with pleasant attitudes . I’m spending my money here you’re not doing me any favors, you’re supposed to be doing your job.
