Not going to lie, the area was a bit sketchy but once inside the store is large with a great inventory. The woman that helped me took her time and explained everything I needed to know before making an investment purchase. She also took her time to make sure I made the best choice for my personal needs. I appreciated that she didn't try to up sell me on anything and instead guided me through the process. Best experience at a hair store for me in a good while.

More like a hair museum lol, but my first time stopping in and I was pleasantly overwhelmed. There were rows and rows and rows...and then some more rows of hair! I didn't know where to start or end but I winded up looking at closures and bundled hair which was decently priced for the length I was looking for. When I got back to the front there were all kinds of doo-dads that I couldn't help but searching through...Cleaning stuff, soap, accessories, etc. Staff was also decent. I would recommend taking a trip to see this museum (store) yourself.Service: Hair extensions

Incredible store. Unique, not like other beauty supply stores. A lot of quantity of everything and for good prices. The employees were friendly and helpful. Security guard at the front keeping the store safe.

I only go to this store have been going for a year since I moved up here. I bought a lipliner duo set there was nothing in the liner. I didn't complain then yesterday 9/30/2022 I went in bought $72.02 worth of items and they have a sign where the socks are that reads 6pair for &8.99 I picked out my 6 I love socks. I go to the register pay for my items. Anyway when I get home I noticed it's only 4pair of socks I called she says are you sure your calling the right store I say yes then she asks what was the total spent I tell her she tells me to call back so she can check. I call back she says they checked the tape & that I got everything I paid for I tell her I'm looking at the socks she tells me to come in & view the tape & I sure will be going up there today 10/1/2022 I'm not spending not another dime in that store PERIOD.

Please double check your receipts before leaving this beauty store! I encountered two incidents where I was overcharged, but thankfully I looked at my receipts before leaving. I understand accidents happen, but I don’t appreciate the way I was treated as if I didn’t know what I was talking about. Be careful!

I have spent thousands of dollars in the store and not just on synthetic wigs I have bought a total maybe five six human hair wigs and I come and get wigs a couple of times a week synthetic long story short I bought two wigs yesterday and I did not have on my glasses and one of them was the wrong color so since I didn't open the package I go back after work thinking I will be able to exchange because I haven't opened it or anything why the man the Chinese man that's the manager says to me they have a strict no return policy and stood me down and talk to me like I was nobody I will never ever ever ever spend not even a dollar in this store or this location again because that was horrible when I tell you I have been a DieHard customer I come to this store two times a week and I know they know who I am and it was a $39 synthetic wig this man would not even exchange it for me so it was a lady in there getting run up as I left out the store and I just gave the week to her just to let him know I don't need nothing out this store very unhappy customer never again

The products are easy to find. The products are neatly stacked and in order according the product name. Love this! I don't like looking around for products. I like everything together and in one place. They have the aisles labeled which makes it easier to find stuff. The customer service was good. I will be returning.

I enjoy shopping at this location. Staff are usually pleasant and helpful. I'm salt and pepper so it can be challenging to find human hair wigs and bundles.

I went to purchase some wigs I drive about an hour to get to hair town. Upon checking out I paid my bill went to the car to look over my receipt why I didn’t get a wig at the discounted price but he added $34 extra dollars on my bill!! I went back inside he spooky and gave me my money back the wig I can understand your at the front you don’t run the wig section but charging extra money for profit that was so crazy.. BE AWARE CHECK YOUR RECEIPTS !!!

The sell fake hair saying it can curl up to 400 degree heat! I put my curling iron on 350 degree heat and the didn't even curl. Instead the hair melted and was on the floor. STOP ADVERTISING FAKE HAIR AND TAKING PEOPLE MONEY. IM GOING TO GIVE HAIR BUZZ MY BUSSINESS . I WILL NOT GIVE THIS STORE ANOTHER DAMN DOLLAR. !!💯

Typical mega hair store. Asian folks run the place. They are polite and i guess helpful. They also make sure you get that money right and watch you so no pilfering. I don't buy hair but i went with someone to buy it. They helped her find some hair that wasn't on the sales floor.

Huge store. Good Select of Hair & Products. I came to purchase a wig. The Asian lady was no help, she had trouble understanding what I was looking for. So be prepared to help yourself. Then I was charged $1 for a wig cap to try on the wig. Wig caps are $1 for 2 in a pack when you purchase them. Why would this store ever charge $1 to use 1 stocking wig cap that you don’t even need after. I could understand .50 cents. I won’t be coming there again.

Hair Town has many hair essentials that all women needs at some point in their lives. From shampoos and conditioners to hair styling products. But it doesn't stop there. Hair pieces to cosmetics are available to buy. Their prices are very reasonable. Highly recommend.

Love this store. They have everything. However, most of the girl do not know a thing about hair. One lady told me to mix bleach with a permanent hair color. Then when i asked her where are the toners she pointed at the permanent her color. So do yourself a favor and save your hair, by not asking them.

Seriously one of the best hair towns in the Philadelphia area. Everyone is so welcoming, helpful with hair style suggestions, and reasonable with their prices!😍😍 not once have I felt uncomfortable, as if one of the employees were stalking me in the store. It is officially my hair store!🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾💞

The wig dept. Clerk was exceptionally awesome. She helped me at the last minute to select the perfect wig. She showed great customer service. I didn't get her name. But she had on a purple shirt.

I've gone here twice so far and each time I've went I was almost always able to find what I was looking for. However, when it comes to customer service my experience was by far unsettling, disrespectful and quite horrible. Both times at the register I had a negative encounter with two people one young guy (I would say gentleman but he was far from gentle) and one elderly lady. I would go into detail further as to what I experienced in depth but I'm pretty sure I might just go on a rant. What I will say is that I will limit my coming here to a zero unless I'm extremely desperate.

Wow, this place have everything you need from hair to your feet. Affordable prices quality items. I was able to get all of my makeup products and hair products without running around 🙃. I love this place. Customer service on point.

I'm a licensed cosmetologist and the customer service and quality of service is unacceptable. An example Asian owners who are very disrespectful to their customers. Had to have a discussion with my 12yr old son when he questioned their behavior. Not a place I need to be. Very unfortunate for the amount of money African Americans put in their registers, but if you allow it, it will continue let your dollars talk especially when there's a black owned supplier close.

This place only gets 2 stars because the selection was good.. but they are EXTREMELY overpriced. Better deals at Sally's. Saw a moisturizer I use that was FOUR DOLLARS more than i usually pay!

This place has everything for your synthetic and human hair needs! I go here for their wigs and you will be suprised on the large variety of wigs they have available. All different colors, textures and styles. The only thing is that the wigs are way too overpriced. This establishment also provides lace front wig installation for customers starting around 40 dollars per wig and 10 dollars to cut the lace. I came here to try out the installation and the girl used a used hair brush to brush my hair to braid my hair underneath and put all this lace front glue on the edges of my real hair. NOT worth It! Go here to buy wigs not to get them installed.

Hair Town is overpriced. The owners have several stores around Philadelphia. I'm not a fan of supporting these types of hair stores for beauty products because they never give back to the community. So I buy my beauty products from Wal-Mart., Wal-Mart supports communities and gives back. I only go here if I absolutely have to.

Hair town always has the best prices and always knows about their products they sell. I can always trust what they have to offer unlike some other stores in the area. This is my to go place whenever i need anything. Im looking forward to their new store they are opening up soon where Cheltenham Mall used to be!! Love this place
