I HIGHLY recommend Bob's Pet Stop for any dog owner. I got my Riley when he was 4 months old and started classes with Bob at about 5months for his Puppy Kindergarten course and I am so thrilled with the results. I don't have the time or vocabulary to properly and adequately express just how valuable Bob has been to my family. I reached out to Bob about a year ago for help with me and my husband's one year old German Shepherd Dog who was basically the king (and baby) of our household.From our first conversation on the phone, I felt like Bob just "got it" and I was able to convey our concerns while being heard and understood. I have an older dog (10-11 years and part border collie, part black lab) who doesn't like people or other dogs. She's an old curmudgeon basically. Recently my son brought home another rescue, part Pit and part American Staffordshire Terrier, about 1 year old who is nothing but a bundle of energy. Needless to say, my original dog, Sadie, wanted nothing to do with the new dog, Maya.After researching various trainers and eliminating a number of them due to training methods, I found Bob. We have had two virtual lessons, and two on site lessons so far. Bob has been great about also sending videos with training tips and techniques.So, long story short, after just two on site (my back yard) visits, we were able to get the two dogs to not react to one another, which is a tremendous accomplishment in and of itself. We then carried those techniques inside and had them both sitting just feet from one another indoors, with virtually zero interaction!Of course, repetition is the key, and we will continue practicing the techniques Bob has taught us, but I can honestly say that his techniques work. We have made amazing strides in a very short time, something we were unable to accomplish ourselves over several months!I highly recommend Bob and will continue to recommend him every chance I get. I enjoy working with him. His lessons are down to earth and straight forward and my old curmudgeon actually likes him! Mr. Bob is wonderful! I highly recommend him. He helped me understand how to use methods that create consistency for my dog which in turn has made him much more well behaved. He also fit my dog with a gentle leader which has helped immensely on our walks (my dog doesn't pull anymore with or without the gentle leader on). My dog and I worked with Bob for several months last year before I moved to Tennessee. It made a huge difference in our relationship and really helped to strengthen our bond! Bob is wonderful, he has even helped me with training questions I've had even though I'm 12 hours away! I'm so appreciative for his help! I've been using Mr. Bob since my first dog back in 2007, and I keep using him each time we get a new pup! Bob is the best. Professional, always willing to help, even if its a quick email or phone call, esp. years later and a problem pops up. He'll be willing to give you a quick insight on how to correct it. Really listens to the issues that are happening and gives the best advise, tips, instructions on how to correct it. We recently adopted a stray who was fostered for awhile before up for adoption. He showed major signs of aggression, towards my husband. I called Bob right away for we were in fear we have to rehome him. He right away gave me the pep talk and we got to business on how to correct all the situations that were sparking aggression, with in a month we saw a major turn around and the aggression has gotten less and less - we're 7 months in and things are going really great. Our pup has accepted my husband is here to stay and becoming fast buds! Thanks for Mr. Bob and his efforts tip and instructions. Mr. Bob is someone you can count on to help! Bob is the absolute best for dog training. He understands the canine mind and can help you to communicate effectively with your dog. He uses the gentle leader for training. I have a very aggressive female cocker who I rescued. One of my biggest issues was pulling during her walk. In one lesson using the gentle leader, I now have a dog who no longer pulls. Bob is also teaching me how to use the gentle leader with training techniques to correct her aggressive behavior. I already see improvement. Bob is exceptionally patient with me during our lessons since he is teaching me how to train. His drive to be sure you are happy knows no limits. He tailors his training to you to ensure your satisfaction. Bob has earned my highest recommendation. He has achieved results with a dog where others have given up.

There's not enough words to describe the great experience my pup and I had with Bob. I am still amazed at how much of a transformation I saw over a short period of time. Bob is a true master of his trade. He takes the time to assess the situation and give you an individualized plan. He is not like other trainers who are just looking for a paycheck. He is extremely friendly and makes you feel like family from the first visit. My dog Wally is nervous by nature, making it very difficult to have guests in my home. Since we’ve worked with Bob, my dog has made incredible strides in the right direction. I never thought we would be where we are now. Other trainers told us to medicate Wally, but Bob used his knowledge and skills to teach us the right tools to help mold our dog into a better version of himself. Our German Shepherd puppy is energetic and listened when there were no distractions to commands, but she saw other dogs and on leach became aggressive. She just wanted to play off the leach.Bob came to our home multiple times to teach me how to train her.He also took the time to work with her at the Canine Kamp so she would be socialized off leach with many other breeds of dogs. Bob is dedicated to all dogs. He is caring, gentle and firm with his teaching with both the dogs and with their humans. Bob is a fantastic dog trainer. We recruited Bob to help up get our dog's jumping, tugging, and biting under control. Within four lessons my wife and I understood what we had to do to change the behavior. Every bit of it worked. Bob doesn't come in with a set agenda; he sits with you to understand your own situation and goals and develops a plan to tackle the issues. Although his services are not cheap, they are well worth the investment. If more issues come up we will certainly be returning to Bob for help. Thanks!

Earlier this year I rescued a 10 month old Jack Russel Terrier Mix. Our rescue pup came to us unpredictable, high strung, and most importantly, aggressive towards men and other dogs. What changed the game was when she jumped up almost four feet and nipped a maintenance man in the arm. I was horrified and didn't know if I could even keep her. I called Mr. Bob of Bob's Pet Stop to come over for a consultation. On our first meeting, Mr. Bob didn't even meet our JRT. He first focused on what we as owners could be doing in terms of our daily interactions with her to establish control, which was a real eye-opener. During a different session, he showed me how to walk her, which I was afraid to do as she barked, lunged and overall stressed both of us out. Working with Mr. Bob and using the Gentle Leader collar gave me confidence to be able to walk her on my own. One of my favorite sessions, Mr. Bob brought his dog Sassy to work on introducing our JRT politely to other dogs, as well as walking without tugging and barking. He showed me how to combine the Gentle Leader and a prong collar, which has really made a HUGE difference in her behavior. He showed me our dog is not "un-trainable", just head-strong and excitable. With continued work, I look forward to years of joy with her!Mr. Bob doesn't follow one training method or the other, he picks and chooses whatever is best for your particular situation. Since meeting Mr. Bob, he has always been available via phone or email to give me advice, which to me is almost priceless. We had researched multiple dog training programs and decided to go with Bobs Pet Stop as he had great reviews and was priced well. It was a great decision. Bob came to our house, was professional, and customized our dog training to our families needs. Bob knew, just from coming and seeing our home's environment, what needs we would likely want addressed even better than I did.We had a German Shepherd and saw instant results that lasted. Heidi stopped trying to dart out the door and instead waited for the "free" command. She learned to stay on her mat until we "freed" her as well. He taught us how to relax the dog within seconds, which we have used multiple times and been so thankful to have under our belt. He taught us how to train her for "meet and greets" at the door, rather than have Heidi jump and bark at the door and then jump all over people when they come in the house. As soon as we applied the learned technique, we saw immediate results.We unfortunately had to find a new home for Heidi due to a major allergy in the family. We immediately went to Bob as we trusted his instinct over ours (in finding a new owner) and wondered if he could help place her. He used his network for us (as he knew our dog, Heidi's temperament, and knew what kind of environment the dog would need) and found an amazing home for her - better than our environment I dare say. He even screened the new family for us. We couldn't have been happier with using Bob, and if we are ever able to afford a dog that won't affect our family's individual allergy issue, we will surely use him again.

My year-old golden retriever was completely out of control. Walking her was a nightmare- pulling and jumping. Bob fitted her with the gentle leader and showed me how to use it. It was a miracle. She walked by my side, stopped picking up every piece of trash in the street and I am able to control her and keep her from jumping on the neighbors.Another problem was that she would not come when we called her. Bob taught us how to use the field trainer and reward her with treats.Thanks to Bob,I am now enjoying my dog rather than just struggling with her.
