Just spent the Holiday weekend at Woodward PA. It was family camp weekend, where my son and I joined 5 other random families in one of the bunk dorms. One of the best weekends of my life, was an unforgettable experience, complete action packed, where my face hurt from smiling the whole time I was there! It took about 10 mins for my very shy 7 year old to mix with a group of other kids and take off on his scooter, where he spent the next 48 hours cruising around the whole camp.Everything about the place was amazing, the skate parks, the parkour set up, trampolines, absolutely everything. We enjoyed the bunk, despite some snoring :), as helped us mix with other families and share the whole experience. We now have a group chat to try and meet up again in the future, as people travelled as far from Atlanta and Toronto to come to this amazing place.I brought my BMX and scooter, along with my sons. I rode all the parks and enjoyed hitting some of the foam pits, after never really riding them before. The food was amazing, always fresh and lots of choice, the staff from chef Brian, to the instructors were all super friendly and knowledgeable. The whole experience from arrival to leaving was memorable, if you are reading this and have kids, I would send them to the summer camp, as they will have the best time and worth every single penny. My son will be back !(some snapshot photos, as took over 80 in the 2 days)

If your child is an avid gymnast, skateboarder, BMX rider, or pro scooter rider, Woodward Camp in Pennsylvania will be a perfect summer camp experience. The staff is enthusiastic and you can tell they want to be there, working with the kids. Sleeping accommodations are very rustic and spartan so don't expect anything fancy. The facilities for all the sports, however, are state-of-the-art. The camp also has other offerings and other campuses. Their website will have all the information.

Best place on earth. If your kid wants to come here and you can afford it, don't even think twice.

Sick parks and trails, only wish it’s be open to the public more often just for a day or a few hours (where you don’t have to reserve a cabin and all for a few days). Other then that though it’s the absolute dream.Probably best skatepark complex on the east coast and one of the best in the country for sure.

only:Since I first saw it in skate videos in the 1990s, wanted nothing more than to go and skate Woodward. Well, 30 years later my kid goes and has the time.of her life. Sweet!Great counselors, obviously amazing parks, just phantastic. The pros were super approachable and helpful too and her skill level and confidence went way up. What a blast!👉The only feedback for improvement... Please do something about the food situation. Get some fresh stuff there for the young athletes not just fruit loops and burgers. My kid totally had to detox and most returning kids brought their own food supply knowing how there wasn't going to be a fruit or salad in sight.

SUPER PRICEY! My son loves to skate so I worked a parttime job for 8 months to come up with the money! My son said it was worth it! He enjoyed every moment at camp!

My son stayed for a week of Camp. He was very insecure for the 1st couple of days, I had to contact the camp to tell them what was going on, and ask them to reach out to him, I shouldn't have had to do that from 1000 miles away, they're right there with him and should know he isn't participating. After a little help he was fine.I was disappointed (as was he) that he wasn't allowed to try out other areas of the park, he had to stick to JUST his camp area. He wanted to try out the Par Core and is actively in Gymnastics and would have loved to experience the gym for a few hours. For the high cost of the camp, I was definitely let down. I wouldn't recommend personally, nor would I choose to send my son again.

This is the first year my daughter attended Cheer camp at Woodward, PA. She had an absolute amazing time! She enjoyed EVERYTHING about it. She can’t wait to come back. She wanted to do another week this summer! This will definitely be a yearly camp for her!

My daughter attended camp here for her first away camp and first cheer camp experiance and loved it!! She was awarded camper of the week got to interact with famous cheer athletes and got to use state of the art equipment she would have never had a chance to encounter. For all these reasons I am soo greatful and pleased with this establishment. The reason i gave a 4 star and not a 5 is as follows: my camper hurt her knee there and as a RN I was less than thrilled with the fact that the trainers didnt seem to treat it effectively I had to call the camp and my child and inform them of what to do. They gave out oppertunities for 50% discounts and my daughter recieved one but they are only for that current summer at the end of the summer. When you have to travel and pick up your child it is crazy to think that for 50%(wich is still over $600) you could turn right around in a few weeks and do it all over again. It would be nice to be able to use it for the next summer. Also my daughter didnt really care for the cafe food and she really never got to eat lunch because it was always during her mandatory training time (she basically spent her spending money on the chicken tenders which she said was amazing). Lastley she was not to thrilled that some of the famous cheersleaders were less than friendly although the campers were encouraged to mingle and interact with them. Other than that it was a great experiance for her and she cant wait to return!!!

Lots of fun! The only bad part is during the open sessions and some of the events, they only open up a fraction of the parks, and you never know which parks will be open until you're already there.

My child was involved in a negative incident in the bunk while at camp. I contacted the camp office multiple times asking for a member of leadership to please call me to discuss. I was assured someone would reach out and no one ever did. I have significant concerns about both supervision of campers and camp leadership at Woodward. Engaging with families is not a priority. It is huge concern particularly at a sleep away camp. Beware.

My daughter had a blast here. Said she felt more "grown up" here because she got to do things on her own like goto breakfast. Seems well put together. Too bad it's so remote, but maybe that's a good thing.

They had the best gymnastics camp in the world. Hopefully they bring it back for the families, the trainers, the athletes and the Olympic level Gymnasts that came to love what is was. It was built for gymnasts and everything else came later.

This place is amazing! You are going for the expert training and the environment . The coaches are so helpful and it's like getting private lessons everyday. If you are afraid to send your child alone they have amazing options for you to work there and stay close to your child. Send your child with lots of snacks or put money on their account for food. The free food is aweful!

This is my favorite place on earth, I am a gymnast and love it so have the chance of 35 hours of training on good equipment in a week is a dream. The gymnastics program is good for all levels.Out side of training there are some really fun activities like ropes course swimming and so much more. The food is pretty good for camp food with variety. The night activities are really fun and are great if u are bored at closer to the evening. The one thing that I recommend is to bring lots of snack to share with your friends!

Great place for weekend getaways when camp isn't going on. Especially during Penn state games. It's a huge rustic western style lodge with cozy accommodations.

Week 4 Skate Camp - I decided to accompany my son to skate camp and work as a cabin parent mostly to see what I was paying for. Glad I did as the experience from my point of view was mostly bad.The Bad - Food and lodging are horrendous. Black mold all over the cabin ac units and cabin showers. Moldy food being served to campers. The food was so bad most campers just stopped eating in the cafeteria all together. Instead opting to buy food at the store. I recommend sending plenty of snacks with your kids. The morning skate lessons were essentially a guided free skate with counselors offering very little help if any.The Good - The parks are amazing. My son did have a blast but kids don’t care about the listed negatives above. With the money you pay I would expect high quality food and better lodging for campers.

This camp was sooo awesome for my daughter she had an amazing time! She got some more gymnastics skills while she was there. And she has to go to the in infirmary every night and they did everything they had to do and my daughter had no problems with it. My family loves this camp!
