My wife and I have a seasonal campsite at a campground in Newmanstown. We went to the Conrad Weiser True Value Hardware Store to purchase a lightbulb for our camper. A nice young man saw us looking in the store at lightbulbs. He said hi and helped us find the correct lightbulb. Very nice store and excellent service! Thank you! Ted and Pam

The prices are absolutely too high compared to even big box stores and Amazon. The only reason why I'm giving this store a three star is because the staff is always so pleasant and helpful so shout out to them

This really is a fantastic local hardware store, for most people. They have a wide array of products, knowledge, and they are always willing and able to help me figure out another way to skin the current cat. If you want a store with every sales rep grovelling and jumping all over you 9 times for help, go to home depot. If you feel like the staff here are rude to you, they are probably just busting your balls a bit, trying to get a laugh outta ya. Take a deep breath and chill. Or go to home depot. If you expect to pay the same price you saw it for on Amazon, you don't understand anything about small local businesses. That said, I do wish the premium on SOME of their products could be cut back a little, and also that they could carry a little more inventory... minus 1 star. BUT, that's the way the world works when so many of us shop online/chain stores, sadly myself included.

I appreciate that some workers are friendly. But why have a rude and unprofessional worker at the register. Try to buy some screws and felt like I was bothering the older gentleman as soon as I got to the counter. Then after I got the total I was going to use my debit card to pay, and then I was scolded for not carrying change. I was was told it's was very poor on my behave not to carry change. I really don't go to the stores to be talked down to. That was very unprofessional and embrassing. I love shopping local but for any of my hardware needs thein the future, I'm driving the 25 minutes to Lowe's.

called to see if they had a blade for my lawn edger. they sounded busy and i could tell they really didn't want to check. just plain hung up on me right after saying he would look. lost my business for good

I've been to this hardware store several times. Each time, I'm left feeling like I annoyed the employees. You can probably find what you need, but you'll pay a premium, and with their attitude, doesn't seem worth it.

Stopped in to purchase a drill bit. The person who entered the store ahead of me was not wearing a face mask and was allowed to enter and shop. Another customer was wearing a face mask but not over his nose. Fortunately I was in and out in less than five minutes. I don't remember seeing any signs requesting or requiring face coverings.

Absolute disgusting customer service. I showed the worker a picture of exactly what I needed and said I needed that same color and he instantly started laughing in my face. Took me to where they had them and pointed and said “there you go” laughed then walked away..
