we usually stop at this pet store whenever we are in the area , having bought a cocker spaniel here many years ago we've become pretty familiar with the store. the area where the pets are kept is ALWAYS amazingly clean ... never a hint of smell from puppy "accidents". the pets are kept clean and appear very well cared for ... as made obvious by the DON'T WAKE UP SLEEPING PUPPIES and the DO NOT PHOTOGRAPH THE PETS signs making it clear that they have a great respect for the pets and their well being. the staff is very friendly and knowledgeable, offering great advice on the right breed for us as well as what to expect etc etc. the cocker spaniel we bought came with a health warranty ( not sure if this is still available) and we took it to our veterinarian of choice to be checked out within a week of purchase ... the dog was declared to be in excellent health and the doctor said that she was very well cared for at the store , something he was impressed with.the cocker spaniel went on to be a cherished member of my family for 16 years. if / when we decide to get another puppy we will return to the The Pet Shop in Whitehall with complete confidence that we are getting a healthy and cared for puppy.

One of the only Pet Stores that still sell Dogs and other small Animals in this area.Store is located inside Whitehall Mall.Store is clean.Friendly and helpful Staff.Animals look like they are well taken care of.Lots of Dogs Breeds to choose from.They also sell collars and Toys and Treats .

A lot of the reviews are saying they are from puppy Mills, but I don't know if that is true, so I'm not going to base this review on that. Some of the puppies were tired, but that's normal for most small puppies that are only a few months old. They are cramped in the boxes which I think need to be expanded. Other than that, they seemed like happy puppies. They are super friendly and will even nibble on your fingers. None of them looked thin, seemed well fed, and overall seemed like most pet stores.

The place is good and friendly and staff is helpful,except for one person. I didn't get her name but very rude had a attitude with multiple people. I would recommend to deal with anybody else except her. I have her picture but my there's no spot to post it. 😔 poor customer service.

Love going there... so many cute puppies to play with... they seem to be really a cure dogs... all your worries and anger just go away within a minute you be with them... The pet shop even let you play with them in one tiny spot. Besides puppies they have hamsters and rabbits too for sale. All kind of accessories and food that is required for your cute little friends (puppies).

Animals are not commodities. Was going to stop in once to grab some pet supplies but was repulsed when I saw they still sell animals . Please adopt from your local shelters. I cannot support a business who still encourages breeding animals when so many need homes in shelters.

Always stop in to see the puppies when at the mall or at Kohl's. I like the new floor pens they put in.We got our Aussie here some 8 years ago. Best dog I ever owned.I see a lot of price comments. And I will admit that dogs are expensive. However I don't know what anyone else is charging to say that their prices are out of line. We had a good experience with them. Healthy puppy, good service and always treated nicely.

I will be very straightforward with his review.the staff and the overall conditions look clean but after purchasing my puppy may discover that most of the puppies are sick at this location. we paid about $2000 for my puppy and the first month and a half was taking him in and out of The veterinarians office. We discovered that he had kennel cough and it has been untreated too long that it was past the point of making it easy recovery. he ended up getting;pneumonia in his lungs,had to get x-rays, a bunch of medicine and nebulizer to make him feel better the overall cost of getting him better was close to $1000 luckily the good thing is the pet shop did honor their commitment to cover his medical bills in the first 10 days and they continued covering the medical bills until he was completely better, not just with in those 10 days. Though they did honor there commitment with us i would recommend to anyone who gets a puppy here take them in very fast to the vet! Do not procrastinate!

Dogs are very cute. Dogs look very healthy and well taken care of. Seemed responsible priced without research each breeds market value. Staff is weird. They hover over you as you try to look and pet the dogs, always saying something to you. Still searching for our puppy but not from here.

It seems my review was filtered, so I deleted and shortened my review, but in short my bunny died 3 days after I bought her from coccidia - a highly contagious parasite. Her fecal test showed over 1000 parasites in just one swab and the coccidia had moved into her liver. This is highly contagious.I spoke to Abby who after I told her that my rabbit died, said "okay" in an extremely sarcastic tone. She then asked if I had the rabbit (no I don't have my dead bunny. She was cremated because she lost control of her bowels while she DIED IN MY ARMS and smelled like diarrhea and urine) because they would only give me a replacement if I brought my DEAD RABBIT and receipt to the shop, despite knowing I took my bunny back home to SC.

Forget how overpriced they are or how rude the staff is! None of that matters. I bought my dog 4 years ago and she cane home sick. Vet told me is no uncommon for dogs that come from this shop to be sick. They keep the dogs on shredded paper which isn’t healthy on its own then that paper mixes with their food. Many of the dogs “sleeping “ are actually lethargic because they are sick and dehydrated because they have to drink out of a hamster water bottle! Those bottles are bad even for mice and bunnies let along a whole dog! I bet this review will be deleted because I can’t believe this place is still open 4 years later. Back then the reviews were bad I bet they ask google to delete them. So sad

I have been here twice so far. The first time I was there the staff was extremely rude and overly defensive. Any questions about the puppies and their whereabouts and health check the staff would bark at you. Seems these workers need better training on customer service. Also the type of puppy I was looking they didnt seem to have the second time around. 1500 for most of them. The dog I was looking for through a reputable breeder was less then that. When asked about the OFA and their genetic test they got a bit defensive tried to cover up the papers and only gave me the cost, guaranteed vax and puppy check, and amount of days I had to get them checked by vet if they ever got sick. So that was a red flag in itself it shouldn't be a secret on the OFA or genetic testing. Learned that some places can falsify documentation on top. Also stated they get puppies weekly which also another red flag of possibly puppy mill pups. Started watching how the puppies acted and you can tell they were not well may it be stress or illness related they didn't look right maybe that is why they have a no photo policy to prevent incrimination. Almost all of the puppy were either laying or sleeping. Some were active but i run a dog sitting service and fostering on the side i can not afford to have a sick puppy at my place from here if that is the case they could pass a virus to others. Wish my experience were different but they were not.Also they renamed their store. Probably to avoid negative comments

Rude staff and extremely over priced. Beabull’s sell for up to $1,500 not $3,000 do your research before buying there. The rude worker with dark hair then stated they are very popular right now that’s why the price is what it is. Then when you continue to ask questions the worker will turn their back and smirk at you while saying well I can’t do $1,500, So unprofessional. Instead of trying to be more informative with an explanation of why I would potentially buy a $3,000 dog you just become dismissive.

employee with black hair and blue underneath was incredibly rude regarding the no picture policy to my friend and i. giving attitude and threatening multiple times in one sentence to bring a manager into the situation after i had explained we hadn’t seen the signs because they are not well displayed and not infront of each cage. she refused to listen and just gave attitude and even threatened to have us removed from the shop. she claimed to have told my friend and “know that i heard her say it” when i genuinely did not nor was i near my friend at the time and she once again didn’t listen and just said she will tell her manager if i pull out my phone again. and during our whole shop experience staff members hovered around all customers which seemed to throw multiple people off. i’ve never written a review before but this was an incredibly unprofessional unpleasant experience that could have been easily fixed with a better attitude and listening skills from staff.

Staff is so rude. My daughter was talking on the phone and the staff was insisting she was recording a video. Questioned her twice! All she was doing was telling her father on the phone the dogs they had. She just lost her jack Russell 2 months ago, and the store actually had a jack Russell so I don't see the crime in telling her dad via a call???? Very unprofessional staff.

$2000 for a Puppy. I got my puppy here 2 years ago and i love him but prices are way to high. You can buy a puppy in Lancaster for $400-$700.

I take my daughter in every time we visit kohls. The puppies are adorable and seem happy and healthy. The staff were all so nice and were interacting with the puppies. You can tell they enjoy their job.

Took my grandson just to see the puppies. All of the puppies were sweet. I wanted to take one home. We didn't stay long because my grandson's was constantly sneezing. Workers were very nice and the store was clean.

Unfortunately their hours are terrible when you work late I made it there right before closing with 3 mins to spare saw a family just leaving still was a customer in store ringing out and they would not let me in stating it was closed I said I only needed 1 bag of dog food the worker was polite but would not allow me to get the one item I need there dog food was already pricy . I guess pet smart has a new customer

The staff was uncharacteristically rude and snapping at customers during my most recent visit. While most of the dogs did seem happy and healthy, a few did appear to be sickly. Also the staff seems to make a point of ignoring all the black customers, greeting and answering questions for anyone but them.

WAS GIVING A SICK BUNNY!!! Staff was nice IN STORE, but rude and disrepectful over the phone. One worker told me to that giving my bunny veggies, but when I called back beacuse my bunny wouldn't eat, another lady answered the phone and said that now my bunny has a stomach ache and won't eat because I gave it veggies. The first day the bunny had loss of appetite and would not drink. Later on, my bunny started to pee blood. I believed it was caused by Coccidia, a parasitical disease that attacks the liver. My bunny only lasted 29 days in my care. If I could leave 0 stars I would.

Staff was rude, my boyfriend and i have been looking at dogs and I tried to FaceTime him but was snapped at that that wasn’t allowed and that I should check the website, which is quite unorganized and didn’t have many pictures at all. The store was empty at the time so I wasn’t bothering anyone and we would have been interested. Sorry but I’m not going to be supporting anywhere with clear distain for interested customers.

Very rude staff lady with short black hair and blue underneath was rude to me and a friend of mine about no picture policy she did not care to nicely/professionally explain instead she displayed aggressive and rude behavior her alone would be enough to make me not want to bring my business here. Staff needs to do better.
