We find everything we need here.I have multiple Japanese cook books and a Naruto cookbook and even an Avatar: The Last Airbender cookbook and these books often call for things you can't find at Walmart. So far, we've never had any issues finding what we need here.As far as finding the ingredients, it helps that I can read Japanese, Korean and a bit of Chinese (Chinese uses similar symbols to Japanese, but there are a few subtle differences). A lot of the ingredients are written in these three languages. If you can't read them, the staff can easily find what you need. It helps to know multiple words for that ingredient or at least a brief description of it. You can also use the writing function on Google Translate to look up the meaning of what's written on the packaging. We've made some delicious meals with ingredients we've bought here.

Bought a pack of 4 small vegetable plants, they all died within a week, came back and told the owner of Far East Oriental Market, she said no guarantee on plant, such a rip off. Never go there again. Food is old & smelled, some packages already expired 6 months ago.Health department & commerce department of Whitehall should check this store for food safety.

I was very surprised, they had an amazing selection. Everything you could possibly need or want. I bought a bunch of snacks and fruit. They had fresh seafood, fruit, bakery, frozen, snacks, spices, cookware, tea basically anything you could imagine. It was within walking distance from the Lehigh Valley Mall. Prices are fair. From the outside you can not tell how large it is, they have parking on the side of the building. I will definitely be a repeat customer

The store is packed with all kinds of Asian Foods. Packaged products some fresh produce some fresh and frozen meats and prepared foods. It did smell like fish when you walked in.

Date erased and sold. The staff are not very nice. Many items don't even have prices written on them so you have to go to the cashier to find out the price. Eggs are $5.99 even though they are not organic, quail eggs are $5.99, and Japanese rice crackers that normally cost $2.99 ($0.80 in Japan) are on sale for $1.50 for two. I looked closely and found that the date was deliberately erased. The products are not cheap and the store is dirty and unreliable.

They have my all time favorite ice cream but they only carry it during spring to summer. All 3 for $21, there are 3 in each pack. I might have to go back for more but I ran out of room in my arms from all the other stuff I was buying hahahaMost prices are reasonable while others seem to be expensive for what it is but for the most part this is the best place to get Asian goods. They have lots of Korean and Japanese products and thats why I love this place!

Modest place, was able to find Thai food curry here as well. Looks a little small but has probably what u need. One less start as it could have been more organized and clean. Long wait during checkout.

This place is awesome! They have a great variety of items and everything is very organized. I could have spent hours in there looking at everything. The owner is so sweet, welcoming and helpful! I will be going back often to find my favorite Asian products and am so happy I found this gem so close to home!

Tip: wear a coat because inside is like a fridge, it’s very coldImpressive selection of a wide range of Asian food items, especially Vietnamese herbs and products.Prices are reasonable as there’s no other Asian market in area. Products are organized randomly and fridge area can be cleaner. Typical overstocked and messy. The prepare food area scares me and I wouldn’t eat anything from there.I was turn off by the amount of random refrigerated items left out.It seem there’s fresh prepared food on the weekend like Vietnamese sandwiches ($8) and Peking duck(!) ($27)

I would rated this store as a ZERO If yelp would let me and here is why. had previously visited this market before and thought that it was a hidden gem. Unfortunately, my experience was totally different on my 2nd visit to the store. I was greeted by a rude employee who did not care to assist me. I brushed it off and I thought perhaps she was having a bad day or was busy trying to finish a task. Unfortunately, that was not the case as she was all smiles and very helpful to other customers and refuse to aid me in finding anything. Simply pointing down the aisle with a quick flick of the finger.I am one who sees the positive in every situation and gives people the benefit of the doubt. However, I could not, I will not, stand for injustice. I cannot express how vehemently treated with disdain I was this day.I even attempted to seek help from a back end employee. The gentleman ignored me at first. But I wanted to assume he could not hear me so I gently said excuse me once more. I kid you not he side eyed me and totally disrespectingly said, "What!!!!" I do not give way to exaggeration when I say that he looked at me as if I was less than dirt and didn't move one inch to assist me. I was with my young daughter who until this day had not witnessed such prejudice. For shame!!!!

Fairly good prices, takes SNAP for minorites in need, and good stock. No real issues with communication either, so you don't have to learn another language or use Google Translate to get fresh groceries. They have from obscure Asian treats to fresh seafood and duck.

The people work here is no polite , rude, you ask questions the young girl is rude. Stinks when you just go in. Is allot stuff. The workers pass over you if you no moved , they hit you with anything the had in the hands, this is the 4 times I go there but Wao. So expensive. Also the bao bread Becareful they had fungus, I buy 2 package when I opened, it’s was green dots. Some are expire too. You ask the lady the price and they don’t go and check. Very very rude. I don’t comeback. I go to newyork is more better even is long distance is more better quality and cheap. Nunca había alguien tan ruda como esa gente. Te empujan pasan con las cajas y no les importa tú estás hay. La cuarta ves que voy y son así apesto tú entrando por la puerta. Y muy caro.

I’ve been a long time customer of Far East Oriental Grocery but ever since the grocery changed management several months ago, the quality of their fresh produce, i.e. vegetables, has gone to hell in a handbag! They seem to stock more produce than they can sell so they are not fresh and many of them, especially the root produce, have started to mold.I also noticed that they stock and sell crustacean seafood like shrimp and lobsters. But guess what? They are not live seafood!!! They’re placed on ice (not refrigerated or frozen) and out in the open but not alive!!! Lobsters and shrimp are not safe to consume if they are not cooked live (or frozen)!!!Anyway, I will NOT be patronizing this grocery anymore after I ended up with vegetables that I thought were fresh but turned out to be molded and spoiled when I was about to cook them! 👎👎👎👎👎

My daughter insisted we go here. Wow, glad we went. Honestly, from the street this place doesn’t look like much, but don’t let that fool you. This place has a huge selection of everything! Produce, fresh meat, thousands of needles and all kinds of treats you didn’t even know you needed! Seriously, even if your not cooking Asian cuisine, you still should check out all their snacks and packaged foods.

UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT!It used to be the best Asian market in the Lehigh valley with fresh produce and reasonable price. But now it’s just over priced and not fresh foods anymore. So beware of the things you buy!Bought a watermelon that was priced at $8.99 and when checked out they tried to ring it up for $50.00. She said it was $8.99 per pound. When asked about it again she admitted she had it wrong. SO MAKE SURE YOU PAY ATTENTION TO WHATS BEING RUNG UP! They are scamming you. What a horrible way to run a business. There’s many more Asian markets in the area that has great prices and fresh produce.

A great selection of all things Asian. Fresh meats, seafood and vegetables, frozen foods, dried, packaged and canned goods. Everything you need to make your favorite Chinese, Japanese, Thai and many other ethnic dishes. One of my go-to places to keep my pantry stocked. Their prices are very reasonable. This place is well worth a visit.

One of my fav places to shop for Asian goods!!! Staffs are really nice and helpful! And I was able to find all the ingredients and snacks that I couldn't find outside of NY. The prices are a bit high compared to NY, but it's understandable. A neat, organized place with a great selection of items w friendly people! What more can I ask for?

It's a great Asian market that is super convenient to get too. Just got off 22 East and it was right over the bridge. The quality ingredients were very fresh. I got bean sprouts, which were crisp and very fresh! They had a great selection of ingredients and spices. Staff was very knowledgeable and very friendly!

Love this place; inspires great memories from when I lived in China and visited many stores like this one!! Only difference is that the grocery stores in China had Zen-type music in the background and not Cat Country!Great variety of Eastern foods here; I usually stop by for the Basmati Rice and the Ginger-Coconut hard candy. Also like to grab very thin noodles to put in Won-Ton broth with ginger and make a warm soup during winter months. So glad this store is nearby.

Been coming here for years. Great place for all Asian food in the Lehigh Valley without having to drive toward New York City. The fresh tofu is great and the fresh noodles are authentic. Only reason for 4 Stars is sometimes they run out of things because of their limited space, especially when an Asian restaurant runs out of supplies. They go here and buy out their inventory. They will special order other Asian items for you. Great people.

Love this place! Can get 90% of the stuff I usually buy in the Asian supermarkets in Philly. People so nice! One woman walked me through all the steps and ingredients to make my own sticky rice dim sum at home. They also make a lot of dim sum to take out. Yum!!!
