We had been boarding our dog at Tanzar Kennel since 2014 -that's 8 years- I was always pleased...The owners were Bob and Brian then. They always treated our dog in a very loving way...Well, On May 11, I made 2 reservations for boarding this summer and when we collected our dog after our first holiday, they announced to me that they would not be taking our dog in again because she was "too old"...This is 9 days until our next trip (which involved airplanes, hotels, etc all paid for)...I had to go out there looking for another place to board her and since she is a large breed, nothing was available in such short notice. As well, I was not comfortable leaving her just anywhere since Tanzar Kennels is the only place she had ever being boarded at...but sometimes a disaster is just a blessing in disguise: An angel came our way and she will be taking care of our dog at our home, and as our dog is not very active not much is required...I am so happy that she will be staying in a familiar surrounding, with air condition but I must warn those considering this kennel that you can't be sure if they are going to change their minds regarding boarding your dog at the last minute... As a lady called Ruth starting managing the kennel, things changed. For instance, no more air condition...only fans...!!! I am happy that my dog will never go back there again and hope none of you get your dog/cat rejected because they are "too old"...Love and Light to all

boarding at the cattery was great! ruth and elizabeth were excellent to deal with. i unfortunately had to pull my kitty because he tried to block, but within an hour they called to let me know he wasn’t acting normal. very trustworthy team!!

Tan-Zar is great, and I highly recommend them. Our puppy was in great hands . The staff-excellent. I called to check on her, they had a good report, and each person knew her and was very nice.

My dog is extremely anxious and this is the first place to really take a calm, patient approach with him. Best grooming experience we've had!
