I normally by strawberry from COSTCO or Bjs bought them today from giant eagle as they were being stocked. I thought since they were being stocked they would be fresh. I bought two co gainers and had to throw away 1/3. I was even there when they were begin stocked and over heard employees mentioning some were not good good. By bad assuming they pulled the bad ones.

Most of the "Market District" branded Giant Eagles are nice and this one is no exception. The bathrooms were clean. They were fully stocked on a random Monday night. I used self checkout and it went smoothly as well. On a scale of Giant Eagle, I give this a full wingspan.

They use door dash for delivery. Yesterday my groceries were delivered to my driveway and left in dirt in my planting section. They were left underneath a sign that reads that ALL DELIVERIES go to the FRONT COVERED PORCH. These directions are also in my giant eagle notes. When I got home I had to pick my groceries up and drag them in the house from the driveway so I called the store and told them to reverse the $10 tip. The young kid on the phone said they have no control over my credit card or the delivery service . He gave me a number for DoorDash and told me to call them and if I didn’t get any satisfaction call G E back. I couldn’t get through the voice menu it wasn’t responding – so I called back and he said there was nothing he could do ???-( I followed his instructions to call back)-and I said well why don’t you credit the card I used with $10 and he said he couldn’t do that they only get paid for the groceries.So I called DoorDash again trying to get through and a woman finally answered the phone and said DoorDash doesn’t do anything with my credit cards -that’s all giant Eagle!And I said well aren’t you concerned that one of your drivers left my groceries in my driveway and if it was raining before I got home they would’ve been ruined and she said I’d have to call Giant Eagle, so I called giant Eagle again (3rd time)and asked to talk to a store manager. The kid on the phone said he was taking the garbage out?!!!So I said why don’t one of you young kids take out the trash so that the store manager can handle situations like this??- and he said he thought I wanted a curbside manager???- and I said no I want a manager for the whole store so he put me on hold, and I never heard back.$10 isn’t a big deal to giant eagle.They absolutely could have credited me $10 giant eagle has no problem, adjusting the payment for the groceries when items that I’ve asked for aren’t there, and they have to make substitutions .it’s the lack of customer service and follow up in the passing the buck that is so typical of the poor professionalism.It also bothers me that this kid gets on the phone and either he is lying or the lady at DoorDash is lying but nobody cares to find out??What difference does it make to them? They have my money. If I’m not satisfied it’s not a big deal.They will just take your money and say there’s nothing they can do for you if the service that you were getting is poor.Who contracts DoorDash ??-is it Giant Eagle or do they randomly force their way into the contract to deliver groceries there?I’m already paying a 995 delivery fee and then a $10 tip on top of that- almost $20 to have groceries thrown in my driveway underneath a sign that clearly says not to deliver there!I guess nobody’s responsible everybody just does whatever they want but that is poor management. I will get my groceries down the road at Whole Foods if I can’t get to the store. Some of the prices may be a little higher, but they have better delivery.

Your front of house staff need a raise. Nice young lady that works self checkout specifically. If i had to deal with the pretentious, crazy, middle aged men she has to deal with I'd catch a felony.

Great place to get Quality Meats and other various groceries and produce. The staff is very helpful and accommodating if you need them to order anything special. The pharmacy staff are very knowledgeable as wellAnd the seafood department is very helpful with fish and seafood selections. The service you get is above and beyond. Good place for dairy also. They're hot foods like their whole roast chickens are pretty good

I ran in going they carried a certain multivitamin I was looking for. They do not, at all, not even anything from the brand.If I'd actually been grocery shopping, I'm sure my review would more stars as the store was clean and I noticed they had plenty of produce.

Between the the person in the bakery licking chocolate off of cookies as he packaged them for customers to purchase, on TWO separate occasions and the super nice guy in the man bun at the catering desk who was beyond not helpful today. I've finally decided this Market District isn't it. Went right down the street and the guy at the desk there was normal. Just needed 2 sandwich trays for next day.. he said it's tight but ill make it work for ya. Very nice of him. Man bun guy made it seem like I was asking for 374959595 pieces of chicken needed in an hour.. and just said 48 hrs policy 3 or 4 times. Customer Service is not that hard.

I occasionally visit this Market District grocery store to do my regular grocery shopping, but recently I also purchased catered food from their catering department. The catering menu lists many foods such as chicken, seafood, breakfast foods, salads, sandwiches, pastas, desserts, etcetera. The prices were reasonable, so I was able to buy precooked chicken and vegetables for 35 people for only $100 plus tax. Throughout the rest of the store, I bought other items to complete the meal, including bread rolls, fruits, cookies, and beverages. Please note that the catering department has limited hours, so an employee from customer service had to retrieve my food. I appreciate that the catering department gave me instructions for reheating the food in my oven at home.

Great selection of many items, friendly staff and good prices. This is our favorite grocery store in the Wexford, PA area. And they recently added some Market District branded products like infused olive oils as balsamic vinegars.

This store is very cluttered and disorganized. I cannot believe corporate allows this as it seems like a fire hazard. Too much framed into tiny pockets would make it easy to steal with all the little pockets.

My mother and I experienced very rude and frankly discriminatory service from Debbie at the fish stall. She misunderstood my mother's directions, then insisted it was because of her accent and that she was "speaking a different language" even though my mother is fluent in English and her instructions were perfectly clear. Eric intervened and was very kind, but this was unacceptable.

This is honestly the ONLY grocery store I enjoy going to in north Pittsburgh!! It’s clean, it’s organized in a way that makes actual sense, and even when it’s busy, there is plenty of room in the aisles. Is it more expensive than other stores? A little bit, but that’s because the quality is better and their organic selection is MUCH bigger than anywhere else other than Whole Foods, but the prices in my opinion are better than Whole Foods. There are just more options overall whether you want organic or regular, more affordable food.

Love the different varieties of meat, groceries, pastries they offer. Their fresh pizza and hoagies are pretty good and affordable. Having a Starbucks inside is a plus.

Except for the produce department, very poorly staffed throughout the year.A photograph added as the carts remained this exact way throughout almost all of the three day holiday weekend. Actually this is the 4th day the carts have been like this.Outside of produce, the store is very poorly staffed

Nice prepared foods section. Pizza hoagies salads and lots of other stuff. Lots of registers open. Not a long wait to check out. Only down side to me it seems a little more expensive. Great of selection of foods. Always find what I need there.

Huge store with incredible selection. A great place to find those hard to find items. It sports a crazy cheese section, two isles of candy, tons of fruit and veggies (including organic). There's a Redbox outside, so you can kill 2 birds with one stone.

Has a large selection of food and is always clean. I only give it four stars because of the higher prices and having primarily self check outs. For the high prices here, you should not have to do their job and do self check out !

Adding one star back because they did have hands baskets at the front of the store today by the shopping carts. Adding another because now they seem to have them permanently at the front again. Now if they could improve their prices, might raise it all the way

Can I give 0 rating to this store. I ordered a theme cake and was charged so much for a simple cake. One guest’s kid was about to choke they kept so many pipes inside the cake. This is just useless and the taste was just yuck. I am definitely going to complain to some higher authorities.

Very large modern grocery store with massive selection. Unfortunately, they seem to price gouge on many items. Super Walmart is less expensive. For meats, chicken and fish, you'll save a fortune at Costco or Sam's Club instead.

I think im here 3-4x a week on my lunch breaks. always a great selection. Their fresh fish/meat selection never disappoints, and they always carry Narcissi wine, which is my fave! (shoutout to B.W.)
