Outstanding, comfortable and affordable B&B!! The Bed offered a great night’s sleep and the delicious Breakfast was an excellent way to fuel up to start the day! The service was above and beyond expectations.Highly recommended, especially for GAP trail riders. The secure bike barn was an excellent feature as well.

Interesting B&B setup, with rooms spread across several adjacent houses, and the central house serving as breakfast space and outdoor patio space. Very nice. Right on the Great Allegheny Passage bike trail. Secure bicycle garage. No complimentary beverages/snacks, but there is a Rite Aid around the corner, and tavern for package beer. Several places for dinner within walking distance. We had a nice, comfortable, and very clean room with private bath (#7). Very good breakfast. Just okay Wifi.

Great place to stay right on the GAP. This stay had nice amenities- locked bike storage, private restroom-(shower just down the hall), hose to clean bike and equipment, and a delicious breakfast right next door. The morning and evening hosts were kind, knowledgeable, and experienced bicyclists. They directed us to a good supper. The room was clean and comfortable.

This was my first GAP trail ride and my first day was long with the travel and biking, and Bright Morning was a sight for sore eyes and buts, lol.I was greeted by a very sweet lady named Shelley and some water with lemon balm and mint (really tasty after a day on the trail) and a smile and great hospitality. The place was very nice and cozy and right next to everything, and you can walk to everything in just a couple of minutes and right next to the river. Now Shelley was AMAZING!!! She really went above & beyond. She noticed that I was very stressed because I just learned that I left my charging cable for my electric bike and I still had about 120 miles to go and I would not have enough battery.Shelley did everything possible to calm me down so that I could enjoy my trip. She spent so much time trying to find me a cable to solve my problem, to no avail.Shelley went to the extent to go to her house to look for a cable and guess what?? She found a cable that worked and she was so happy to see me overjoyed to know I can continue my trip, only because of our Creator and Shelley.Good bless you Shelley and I would absolutely stay there again.I forgot to mention the awesome breakfast, sorry I didn't take any pictures but it looked so good I couldn't wait and I gobbled it up because it was so delicious.Bright morning made my next morning very bright, thank you Shelley and Bright Morning!!!

We stayed at Bright Morning when my husband was biking the Great Alleghany Passage. Mary Lou was so friendly and helpful! When I objected to the sound of their personal hot tub pump, which could be heard in our room, she was kind enough to turn it off.We stayed in Room 5, which is spacious, comfortable and has both exterior and interior doors. The only problem was extremely low water pressure in the shower. (Water pressure was fine elsewhere.)We had quite a bit of homemade food with us, and I appreciated having access to a full kitchen. The refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, dishes, silverware, glasses, etc. are a real plus.We enjoyed sitting on the porch, eating our dinner and chatting with the other bicyclists. Everyone was so nice! Breakfast the next morning was delicious. And the location couldn’t be better, right on the GAP trail.

Our stay at Bright Morning B & B was perfect. Room was quiet and had it's own bathroom. Lovely view in front of the B & B of the trail, an old church and the river. Also within easy walking distance to the vistor center and Fox's Pizza, which was the ONLY restaurant opened on Labor Day in this sleepy town. People were all very friendly. Loved that our house had a guest kitchen with a refrig and freeze (with ice - yeah) to use. Kitchen had everything we needed and more. Very comfortable and warm home. Lovely patio outback of the "Bisto" house for breakfast the next morning. Bikes were safely locked in their bike shed. Absolutely would stay there again!

My daughter and I spent the night at Bright Morning after a long bike ride. We showed up without reservations. They were able to accommodate us right away. They were SO friendly and nice. They made us feel right at home. The rooms were really cute and we each had our own bathroom. The next morning they served a great breakfast right on time. It was a Really great place and I would recommend it to everyone.

Stayed here with friends this week. Right off the Allegheny Gap Trail, easy to find. Rooms and whole place is very cute. Owner is very nice. Room was comfortable, and food in the AM was outstanding! Would highly recommend both for cyclists from the trail and for a romantic get away with someone special.

A neat, clean, and private room in a historic home along side the Great Allegheny Passage trail. We stayed for 2 nights in order to set-up for our bike trip, with the second night being after our ride from Pittsburgh to West Newton. I HIGHLY recommend getting the two nights to smooth the start of the trip, and I HIGHLY recommend staying at Bright Morning. There are numerous good restaurants within walking distance. You can store your bikes in their locked shed overnight.

I wanted to give a big shout out to our hosts at the Bright Morning B and B. My wife and I were traveling on the GAP when a part to her derailleur broke and the bike store had to emergency order a new one. We had to wait until it arrived very late in the day. Our hosts kindly allowed us to stay in our room until the part came in without any extra charge. In addition, the breakfast was hearty and delicious and they also prepared a lunch for us which we ate on the trail.

Cute B&B with friendly hosts and good amenities. Located right next to the trail, it's very convenient! The breakfast was good and the rooms clean. Note that, as you travel the GAP, there is an active train line close by so get used to the constant sounds of trains.

Convenient and clean. Great stop on the GAP bike trail. Decent pizza joint and restaurant only a few minute walk away. The Trailside Burger was good after a long ride.

We got a lovely clean private room with a full bathroom, a sitting room, a porch with comfortable chairs and a place to sit in the back of the house. The owners are very hospitable. They will offer to lock up your bikes overnight. We're looking forward to a delicious breakfast and an early start.

A delightful place to stay on the GAP trail about 35 miles out of Pittsburgh. The breakfast in the morning will keep you going for a long time. The owner is so friendly and always has time to hear cycling stories.

The place was clean, quiet, and safe. The had a bike barn to put your bikes that were locked and secure! Breakfast was part of your stay but everyone got the same meal!I thought it was more expensive than most B&B along the GAP!Needs more atmosphere!

Bright Morning B&B is a great place to stop along the GAP trail. Located right across from the West Newtown train station on the GAP, it's real easy to find. Real nice clean rooms with hot showers. Nice comfortable bed. Breakfast was ok, not enough to fuel a cyclist though. What was great was that they took our reservation the day we wanted to stay to avoid a rain storm!! Also we were traveling with our 14 month old son, and they had no issues with children. They are very close to a bicycle shop and the Trailside for food!! Everyone here was really friendly and warm. They have a secure garage to store your bikes and a hose to wash them off.

Bright Morning is four homes side by side. This is perfect for a group riding The GAP (They even have a bike barn to lock up your bikes for the night). Breakfast at Bright Morning is excellent! Only negative is one home (The Bistro) is set up as the breakfast hall, so in the evening you can't go downstairs and relax. You have to go over to one of the other homes.

I was going to camp in West Newton, however with weather I decided to hit local B&B. This one is awesome, very clean well kept. Good breakfast and great hospitality. With some private bathrooms. Bicycle garage with air pump, bike wash. I'd suggest this place to anyone on the GAP.

A great B&B right on the the trail in West Newton. We found our room very clean and comfortable. We were very close to the Trailside eatery a plus at the end of day. The owners (Ron and Mary Lou) of the Bright Morning B&B made us feel very comfortable and at home in theirs. Breakfast was a real treat and a great start to our day.
