Clean, Organized, and Well-Trained Staff.This will be my "go to" home improvement store from now on! I went in to buy a simple white wire shelf (4ft), screw/toggle kit, and a drillLđź‘€ks easy on the surface, but it got pretty dicey when it came to the drill. I didn't know what I was doing, what I needed, or what I should be spending. Overwhelmed doesn't begin to describe it. Thank goodness we had a gentleman who took an excessive amount of time running from display to display opening cabinets, scanning prices, and even giving demonstrations! It was very impressive.While I didn't need any help with the shelf itself, those things are as light as a feather, lol. I did need help finding it. The first person I asked knew exactly what aisle it was in without looking it up! They were able to tell me the aisle number and the letter, but they were also able to give me detailed instructions on how to get to it so that I could take the shortest path. For someone who is disabled and does not walk well that means a lot! Being that there isn't scooters in the store for disabled people this is an important thing to consider. You're going to be doing a lot of walking here so be sure to wear comfortable clothes and comfortable shoes.Screws can be very overwhelming in the store. There are walls and walls to choose from! It sounds fun, especially for old people who enjoy going through buttons, but it can also be really daunting. If you get confused or don't know what you're looking for everybody there knows what you're looking for, lol. Just tell someone there what your project is and they will go and get what you need for you! Everyone who works there is well trained and knows how things work. You don't need to.In conclusion, I will be visiting the store again. I will be using the stores my primary home improvements store in the future. I have been disappointed in the past with some of the big box improvement stores, so this was a refreshing change from those bad experiences. All of my small town improvement stores have closed, so this is what is left along with the other big box stores, let's hope this one stays around a while.

The store is amazing. It is also very organized! The cashier that checked me out truly wasn’t the nicest but maybe she was having a bad day. Very easy to find what you are looking for. The lawn and garden section is nicely put together and I love how there is always a cashier out there to check out. Thank you for reading my review! I hope it helped you out. Please like!!

First of all I needed to load Ten foot long six by six post wolmanized posts. Ended up having to buy twelve foot long because there were no ten foot, paying for an extra two feet I don't need. Then, I had to load them myself. First on the cart, then into my vehicle. They are quite heavy. Then, i went to purchase plumbing supplies. I had no help. I was buying drains. The cheaper ones had no fittings. So I ended up buying the more expensive ones which have gone up over fifty dollars in price in the last six months, This caused me to upcharge the customer. They were not very happy. The upside of my visit while I was checking out is that the Cashier asked me if i had a Lowes of credit card I said no. THey, quickly filled out my application on the computer.I saved a hundred dollars which was greatly appreciated due to the up charge and the drains. During my visit, I helped several other customers selecting wood products and plumbing. The customers all have a saying that if someone asks you if you need help they don't work there. Please don't take this as a complaint I knew what I was getting into.

Wanted to give a great review to John in Millworks department at the West Mifflin Lowes. He was very knowledgeable, helpful and responsive to my needs and questions over several visits for a large window/door order. He followed up quickly with answers and even called a few times to check and make sure I had everything I needed in the numerous revisions and emails.

Customer svc lady at the West Mifflin location is so mean. I wish Home Depot carried the same products or an Ace was closer to my home bc I dread any interaction with this woman. I don't know how someone can be in a bad mood ALL the time. But, she's always grouchy and unpleasant. Avoid curbside pick-up orders bc nobody ever comes out. You'll have to park, go inside, stand in line at customer svc AND deal with Crabby McGroucherson. If you do opt to place a curbside order, afterwards, treat yourself to the Starbucks located 2 minutes away or a curly fries at the Arby's across the street, you earned it!

the stock is ok here but the staff having no idea where anything is and being generally disconnected is the issue at hand. 11 minutes to find plaster? And what is this non sense where lowes needs the person who obtained a store credit on a gift card to be present when it is used, how are companies supposed to keep track of that and why? So now every time we need something the same person has to go? who is training people on how to explain this by the way?

Went in to return/exchange a pair of work gloves I got for Christmas. As I'm waiting for the people in front ofme a employee, we'll call her Karen older lady with longer hair, drives a powered wheel chair in and stops at the person being helped in front of me. Then she tells that lady "you were wrong the cart works fine you just have to unplug it, then proceeds to argue with the customer for a minute or so before coming to help me. I asked if I could exchange the gloves and she says, in the worse attitude possible, we don't do that here and we never have. We don't do returns or exchanges without the receipt and the card they were purchased on. Her attitude alone made me want so infuriated that I didn't even want to talk to another employee In the store. This lady should be fired and put on the banned list. I went to a different Lowes and was immediately helped by a nice young lady who was more than happy to return/exchange/store credit for me without any second thought.

How about you change your online information to match what it says on your door so people don't drive a half hour on a weeknight for nothing. Online says 10pm. . I get here at 9:05 to find out you close at 9. . Watching someone else walk into a non opening door as I'm leaving this review. Christ

Kim was walking the floor and assisted me with what I was looking for, they did not have it , she then checked with others lowes and was able to point me to several stores! She was so friendly and accommodating! I truly appreciated her help and kindness! And she offered treats for my dog!

Like every other Lowe's it has everything you may need. The garden center area is not as big as others and so is the main building too.There is a lot of parking available but people would drive through it and speed through it. Very annoying really.

I placed an order for same day delivery for $149 dollars they didn’t deliver it same day because they said I didn’t place my order before 2pm then when I looked up my order it was 1:36 pm! …the pro account could have delivered it next day for $20 and when I called them they wouldn’t refund the same day delivery fee! Even tho they delivered it the next day! Why should I pay $149 for same day when you delivered it next day???

Absolutely will never return. Bought a washer and dryer combo that was supposed to be delivered this afternoon and I can't even use them currently. Scheduled my meetings this morning to explicitly make sure I was available. I get a call at 8am saying the team was on their way and would be here 4 HOURS before their earliest estimated time. Further, imagine my surprise when the installation team says they cannot even install it because I need a new electric receptacle and corporate policy prevents the team from touching my water valves. Now I have to pay an extra $300 or more to have an electrician and plumber come out to do additional workUpdate: So since then, the additional work has come out an extra $1,200!!!! When I called Lowe's to complain, I was offered a 10% off my next order coupon, which is absolutely worthless. I was also passed between 4 different points of contact attempting to reschedule installation, including spending over 2 hours on hold. I'm not even finished yet as I'm waiting for the warehouse team to now call me back to reschedule.You are 100% better off going to Home Depot or Don's Appliances.

Cannot return some purchases if you purchased at another Lowes. Purchased a plant at another Lowes that didn’t grow. I tried to return it here and was told that’s not how Lowe’s works. Tired to talk to manager Bill and employee Beth but both refused to help or offer any other solutions. I typically really like purchasing from Lowe’s but I definitely won’t come back here.

I’m usually pro lowes but the last couple times I’ve came here it’s been a nightmare. They lock up the electrical wiring and then nobody will answer the bell so you stand there for 20 mins waiting for someone to simply open the door. I ended up just knocking it on the ground and sliding it under the gate or I never would had been able to buy it. Then almost every single item I needed In plumbing was empty and not stocked and after all that frustration I get to the register and no open registers. Instead 2 people standing there talking about their day watch you ring your own things up instead of them doing it. I get to be the employee and the consumer at the same time. They charge you but don’t pay you and where are the savings? I’m not seeing them. I’m done going to this lowes. I was literally helping their customers and answering questions because the woman couldn’t find anyone to help her after ringing the bell. I mean customer service was COMPLETE trash! At this point just have a empty store and we will handle it ourselves

Some merchandise not marked on price. Have to compare prices carefully. Had a saddle valve that I needed today 5star on that one!Had a commode problem needed flange for broken terracotta flange wax ring 4" and I got brass bolts for toilet flange the old ones rusted and rust resistant screws also a fill valve used everything. PROBLEM SOLVED

Respectfully, do not oder anything to be delivered from lowes. Ordered an oven July 30th, it was never delivered. We call lowes back they messed up the days. We scheduled it for the next day...they sent it to an address I haven't live at for the past 5-6 years!! Yes, we gave them the address it was supposed to go to we even seen the paper. After all of that was finished, we were told it would be delivered to the correct house the next day. We'll. It's as if my father's saying was correct "tomorrow never comes" cause that day never came. They took it back to the old house AGAIN! when he finally did get the oven, 8/6/2023, it wasn't even the correct color and had multiple dents in it!

We frequent Lowe's a ton and this was the first time we had to get some wood cut while we were there. A younger man helped my husband and I pretty immediately and cut everything to perfection! Will always be my go to home improvement store! That young man was an exceptional employee as well, I wish I could remember his name!

When it comes to handyman stores, because of their politics which are more democratic, than radical, right, it is an excellent store. Store. Excellent people, no what they're doing. Their equipment. Quite friendly. Store is stocked properly. Prices are fairly decent.

Buying a New Gas Dryer with Lowes:I live over near Robinson, so shopped & made the purchase there. Apparently West Mifflin had the actual unit, though, as the dryer itself was sourced, and install crews came, from WM. So the review goes to the WM store.First install team brought the new dryer in and removed the old dryer, citing they hoped "you have good homeowners insurance". They then completely punted on the install, claiming the gas hose included in the install-parts charge was too short. (It was, in fact, too short...but that's not something I would be likely to know in advance or could control: the parts-package is preset.)Rather than carry longer hoses in the truck, team number 1 simply left the new dryer uninstalled and sitting in our basement. I was prepared to run to the local Lowes right then and there, but they preferred to abandon the project in place, citing they "would not" wait for my return. Rather, they asked that we call to order a hose at 6' in length, which they reported would be available the following day. They reported they would return to complete the installation, when the hose was available. We then received a call from Lowes reporting that the installer reported to them that "the homeowner said the gas hose was too short" which set us up to take their fall.So team number 1 looked out for number 1 quite well! We just had to make do without a working dryer for a week.Ordering the longer hose was another $40 or so out of pocket (for a thousand-dollar investment, might seem small, but that's about as much as the whole part-kit cost me). It arrived promptly: ordered on Friday, pickup on Tuesday: not "the following day", but reasonable.Unfortunately, Lowes' filing system broke down a bit and I wasn't notified when/if the second team was scheduled to arrive. Fortunately, I was present when they arrived.Second team was able to use the hose I purchased, along with a few parts from their truck, to get the dryer installed and operational. (In the process, they demonstrated that the first team hadn't even bothered to put the feet on the dryer...but second team did.) However, the second team never turned the gas back on, so we were left to figure that important, yet apparently trivial detail, on our own. (Which led to me working this out at 4 AM after waiting for my laundry to dry.)So: there are folks in the system who make the company look bad, and folks who salvage the Nil Stars review, and get it up to 2. That said, next time I'll do the install myself.

Wouldn't let me carry the drill I wanted around the store. Said I had to pick it up at the front. Am I a child? Also when returning stain I didn't need store opened all, mixed together, and spilled (ruining them in the process). Additionally I have returned defective items, like a level with inaccurate angle printing, only see it end back up on the shelves. Beware: people's returned defective items are resold. Go somewhere more respectful.

If possible I would give a Minus 2 stars for the people that work at this store. Last week a woman employe stocking a display had product completly blocking the aisle and when I approached her to walk past she ignored me until asking if she could move the product from the aisle so could go past she became frutrated and kicked te product out of the way and continued complaing to another employee about how much she HATED LOWES AND HER JOB. On this past Sunday my wife and i were shopping for bathroom vanities , mirrors and cabinets, in the same store when we finally did get someone to assist in ordering ( since all Grey colored products ) the salesman told us to just go on line and order what we saw ! after having other questions he refused to try and answer I requested a different person that could help us come to the department , A Person named Jason came over when asking what the letter D indicated on the product description meant for the color grey the vanity came in he replied Don't know, so I asked can you look on your site and he replied nope so i said do you have any intention on helping us order these itemes and he again said nope not at all . I then said please have a manager come to assist us and he replied your looking at one and had no intention of helping !!! horrible store employees, We did go to another local Lowes and they were great and found everything on their site for us to purchase

Searched for a PVC elbow I needed at all the Lowe's stores near me. Their web page said that there were some at the West Mifflin store only. "Hurry stock is low" the page said. I drive all the way out there and they have none. They never had any. You have to order them online. The entire chain is a joke. That should never happen.
