I am very grateful to the pharmacist here who found a discount program so I can afford an expensive prescription which my insurance company was rejecting. My apologies to her for taking my frustration with the insurance company out on her… she kept her cool and provided great customer service. Shame on me forgetting how overworked and underappreciated pharmacists are these days!

Avoid this CVS’s pharmacy like the plague, the nearby Walgreens in Avondale will at least treat you 10x better. Everyone here hates there job and hates you for making them work it.

I have not had any issues; but every time my mom requests a refill for one of her medications they constantly tell her that they don’t have it in stock. When she called a few days ago she was told they had no idea when they would get the medication back in stock and then the pharmacist had the audacity to say “how do we know you’re not getting this prescription from another store?” Basically implying my mother is a drug addict. It disgusts me that this is how they treat someone who needs this medication to help with focus and anxiety. My mother would never mistreat medication, and it angers me to see her so angry and upset. The pharmacy staff needs either an overhaul, or someone to teach them to overcome whatever stigmas they have.

This pharmacy here is absolutely horrible!! The staff is rude, the scripts take forever or are wrong. After today’s incident we are pulling our scripts from here and going elsewhere I don’t care if I have to drive twenty mins to another phamarcy.

This pharmacy is the worst I have ever been to when it comes to filling prescriptions. Every single time I go, there is a problem and I can feel my blood pressure rising. First they did not honor an electronic prescription for my son sent over from a mental health facility. As you can imagine, because of the circumstance our family was already in a fragile emotional and mental state. Now I have to jump through hoops just to get a prescription filled. I literally had to go home and come back with his discharge paperwork just to prove that the prescription was legit. The next time we went to pick up the same prescription I was told that there was a problem and that I needed to contact the doctor. After reaching out to him, he didn't know what the problem was either so he called the pharmacy. He was told that they couldn't honor his 30 day prescription and he had to submit a 90 day request. They could have told me that while I was there, but instead there was a veil of secrecy over something that made no sense to begin with. Now here we are almost 90 days later. My son had his appointment on 9/20/23 where his prescription was renewed. I went to the pharmacy today on 9/23/23, and am being told that they don't have the refill request. I am online looking at his patient portal and can literally see that the prescription was submitted but somehow CVS doesn't have it. I am beyond over it and will no longer bring my business here.

Another reviewer said “staff is angry”. Hah, it’s the truth. It finally occurred to me I can get almost anything I need at the Giant next door, why am I spending my money here to be treated poorly?Maybe CVS needs to pay their workers more/treat them better. It’s trickling down to the customers.

Always some issue with the staff not checking the insurance or even APPLYING the insurance or reading the prescription incorrectly; not calling with an issue PRIOR to me coming to pick it up, can find the prescription...etc. I'm not sure what the real problem is here but by far the worst follow-through ever. We are moving 5 family members with prescriptions over to another pharmacy. This is really sad, because the CVS store is one of the nicest around!

I was hesitant to use this pharmacy due to the reviews. However, my experience with them has been great. They communicate well, and offered guidance when I needed it. Bev helped me get a medication that has been scarce. I highly recommend CVS to anyone looking for a new pharm.

The worst experience at a CVS Pharmacy ever!!! I just moved to the area and had to change my pharmacy to the West Grove location, unfortunately. I was appalled at how awful the customer service is here, the cashiers are so rude and don’t even acknowledge or greet you. If your that miserable and hate your job so much, you don’t need to be working with the public. I will drive the extra 20 mins to go to another cvs pharmacy instead of putting up with the disrespect. I will be reporting this to corporate as well ;-)

Absolutely terrible pharmacy. Twice in the past week I was told incorrect information by the pharmacy personnel. Very unorganized and zero customer service or accountability from the pharmacy staff. The retail portion of the store is fine, and the cashiers at front registers are excellent , but avoid the pharmacy.

I can't wait for the day that my insurance changes so that I can actually go to a real pharmacy, that actually cares about their patients. Went in to drop off my monthly prescriptions, that I've been getting for the last two years and no matter what day or what time I go in, there's always some kind of problem. Personally, with me having a background in working in retail pharmacy, every single cvs that I've ever stepped in has been a disgrace. The day that my insurance changes, I won't ever step foot in another one again.

PHARMACY.....With the millions of people with Diabetes in this country you would think they would always have Insulin and Glucose Test Strips in Stock. Diabetics use this stuff regularly and on a predictable schedule. Yet, they are ALWAYS OUT OF STOCK. The CVS App sends Text messages saying the Rx is ready (after they supposedly ordered it) but when I go there to pick it up, they don't have it and I have to wait for them to order it again. They have no clue why the CVS App sends messages that the Rx is ready for Pickup. How about finding out why? Oh right, that means more effort that might lead to improved Customer Satisfaction. More days to not have Insulin UGGHHH! So much for managing Blood Sugar. Maybe they should keep more Insulin and Test Strips in stock so they will always have it. With all of the data they collect, certainly they have some idea how much they are going to need month to month. What good is the CVS App if they never have Rx's in Stock even after it is ordered well ahead of time? Wait, the CVS App notifies everyone that dish soap is on sale, 15 cents off this week only, one per household please. Discounts on Photo Printing! Wayyyy Cool !! CVS rather everyone just bring film and memory sticks there to have photo's printed. WAIT, sorry, they ran out of ink for the photo printer... damn!

Why do all cvs pharmacies suck now… you have to wait for medicine because they don’t check voicemails…. Don’t let you know how long it will take. I waited for 45 minutes and on top of that you have this rude lady just staring not helping anyone but ordering everyone around.

Pharmacy Specific- All the staff seem to be miserable, i am not sure what the deal is. Then yesterday I come in and get told my 90 day script would be 150 ( i knot this to be incorrect as after insurance and coupon it is 30) the woman told me that the 'formula' had changed and therefore the price went up. After calling the drug company it turns out she tried running it as a an 'Epic-Pen' not the pills i needed. Yet, when she delivered the news it was like I was an idiot for not knowing! Get your s*** together people, never had issues at CVS Avondale!

Great makeup selection. It's always on sale and offers Extra Bucks for next purchase. The rest of the store is mediocre and the staff does not greet customers or offer sales floor help. Maybe they do, but I have never been asked.

Horrible pharmacy. Was told order would be ready by noon, called to check and they said it would be ready by 5pm. Went there at 5:30 and was told they could not fill prescription because it was back ordered. Pharmacist basically too bad not their fault. However, they did tell me the CVS in Pike Creek had it in stock. Avoid this place

Would give negative stars if I could. Treat Veterans horribly. Very rude people and disrespectful! I dont go here no more. A bunch of my Veteran Brothers apparently wont be going here no more because of the lies and long waits. They need to be put on TV for one of the lies they just told on one of my Veteran Brothers.

Specifically the pharmacy:Prescriptions filled incorrectly (with fewer pills and no notation in their system of why) multiple times. I've also been told different things about filling my prescription by the pharmacist and the technicians and was denied the final fill on a prescription (after having confirmed it would not be an issue with the pharmacist previously) due to their error.This has been a particularly frustrating experience as the medication I needed filled is necessary for my health.

This is the worst pharmacy I've ever encountered, doctors send scripts over and somehow they've not received or entered in the system incorrectly or they've put them under the wrong name...how is this business still open? Who's in charge of monitoring pharmacies in PA? They're going to kill someone one day.

Without going into detail my customer service experience at CVS West Grove was PATHETIC. I had to go to Walgreens in Oxford because the pharmacy tech from CVS refused to call my doctor or to call another CVS to see if they had my prescription. Her answer to my request was that " it is a controlled substance". Not sure what that has do with making a phone call to my doctor or another CVS. Also I never saw a smile from anyone at the Pharmacy as I did when I went to Walgreens.

Pharmacy STAFF is AWFUL! Will drive 20 min away to go to another pharmacy. The staff is rude and curt, every single time I go in there they are defensive and inattentive. My baby daughter has significant health problems so we make a lot of trips to the pharmacy. I WILL NEVER go here again even though it less than a mile from home.

Tried for 20min to print a picture, unsuccessfully. Machine froze twice and they insisted I use the app rather then provide a cord for a standard iPhone. One employee admitted they had the cord behind the desk. The machine froze on the final step and I was asked to start the process over again. The second time it froze while trying to link to the temporary wifi. The staff was polite and helpful but were streatched thin as they juggled to cover many areas. I had to leave because I had only allotted a half hour to print one picture.
