We stayed two nights in the campground. The manager was friendly. Beware that lots requested when registering are not necessarily what you will get. I called the office prior to registering and was told that I had to register with roverpass. This added a processing fee per site.We had full hookups, fortunately. The Men's room is very worn and was grungy. The Women's room was full of junk and could not be used and did not even have a sign on the door. I don't know what a woman tenting would do.Caution!!!! Stay off the steps from the restrooms into the camping area. Downright dangerous. The sites are tight with shared hook-ups between sites. If you get the even sites, you better have long hoses and power cord.Basic place to stay, no "resort" features unless you think a restaurant & bar with pool tables and a video poker game is great stuff. It looked okay but we didn't eat there. You get a half picnic table on the lots we got. They are convertible bench/table units. No convenient trash containers.Location is good, very near the State Park but I'll stay in the park next time in the area.

The location was so quiet, loads of star gazing, and beautiful for a relaxing vac. Had full hook-up for 4 nights here and will DEFINITELY be coming back. The restaurant had the best wings and burgers. John (the owner) was the best host we could have asked for. Highly recommend a stay here.Nearby activities: Pa Grand CanyonFood & drinks: The food was great, especially the wings (huge wings and loaded with sauce), the drinks were cold, and wow the burgers (so filling and great).

Great place to camp at while visiting the grand canyon.Very quiet, and a great view of the stars. The owner (John) is a great guy, very friendly. The restaurant has awesome food. Check out the size of the wings! We'll definitely be going back, hopefully soon.Nearby activities: PA Grand Canyon anyonFood & drinks: Did I mention the food is awesome? Well it is.

Shady business dealings! Wish I had listened to the previous reviews.Booked a campsite and asked to change the reservations a few hours later to 1 less night. At first, I was told there wouldn't be a refund because I paid a site lock fee. After I persisted, he offered only a 50% refund for that night. Made me email Roverpass since "I paid the site lock fee, so there's nothing they could do for me and Roverpass would have to handle it." Not sure what a site lock fee has to do with a refund other than to be an excuse not to give one. As the date got closer we asked to reschedule the rest of the trip and it was "only movable by one week." Not sure where the one week came from. Checked their reservation system and they're booking through next summer, so what's the significance of one week? Ended up losing all our money because we couldn't change our date. HORRIBLE customer service! Stay away!!!!

My girlfriend and I stayed here last year to check out the fall foliage. We basically had the entire place to ourselves. The room was very clean, bed was ridiculously comfortable, Wi-Fi worked flawlessly, bathroom was clean and never ran out of hot water. The restaurant and bar is massive !!! Will be returning this summer hands down !!! Upadate, we did return over the summer and stayed in the jacuzzi suite. That room was massive!!! The only other people staying was a couple with a camper. The owner John is hands down the best guy ever, if you have an issue he tends to it right away. We got to use a fire ring basically all day and had a blast !!! We're planning on bringing the kiddos with this summer 2024, they'll enjoy being outside nonstop.Rooms: Our king room was very spacious, the heat worked awesome seeing as we were there during the fall. The bed was extremely comfortable and the hot water never ran out. Wi-Fi worked nonstop seeing as cell service is hit or miss but that's a good thing !!!Nearby activities: The tower that overlooks everything is close by, the grand canyon of courseSafety: Very secluded and away from people, you'd have an issue with wildlife than the people who stay there LOLWalkability: Lots of trails and wildlife to see on your travels. Just an all around scenic area for great photos.Food & drinks: The food and beverage prices are very good !!!Noteworthy details: The owner John is amazing !!! If you have an issue he addresses it immediately !!!

Good for but watch the bill. I ordered two bacon cheeseburgers(7.00$ea) and two fries(2.00$each) and somehow my bill was 27.00$. No drinks nothing else. Shady at best. I won't go back!

We were arriving late on motorcycles and I would have sworn there was no way this place was where the GPS was taking us! We arrived and John (owner) kept the grill open (after 9PM) and we had a excellent hamburger with fries and a cold one. Room was clean and comfortable, water hot and heat was working well! Very accommodating to motorcyclist riding the MABDR. Would stay again! Thank you.

We showed up as a family on 8/25 for 5 days. Excellent service, campsite, full hookup, restaurant, bar, giftshop, and gameroom. Too bad The Commonwealth gave them no notice that Harrison State Park was closed from May until now.....Support vets, their families, and all of those harmed by the government they sought to protect.EdNearby activities: Harrison state park. Lookout tower.

The room stank really bad. The bed cover was brown and smelled dirty. The front porch had old furniture on it that was ripped. It was definitely not what we were expecting !

Didn't know what to expect when I got there. Ratings were decent on Google. John is a nice guy to talk with and a veteran which is what interested me about patronizing his business. Not to mention the fact that a campsite to pitch a tent only cost $10. Other places in the area were at least triple the price to do the same thing. This place was a nice establishment. Just the basics provided. Not a ton of bells and whistles. I can't speak for the motel. But the bath house they provided was great to freshen up, take a shower, or go to the bathroom. It was nice to have those small things provided. The restaurant (though not a five star dinning experience) had good food. Easier to go there and get a bite to eat than drive into Wellsboro to find a place to eat.If I ever come back to the area again I would consider patronizing this place again.

Reserved a camping spot online the night before memorial day! Had the entire tent section to ourselves, which we couldn't of been more lucky. Check in was an easy process and the site was clean with a fire ring. I would say the only downside if you're a light sleeper is that there's a dirt road right next to the tent site and really late to super early people were flying down it sounding like tractor trailers. We had a great experience here, an awesome first timer camping spot!

Me and my boyfriend stayed here for a few days while on our first vacation to the PA Grand Canyon. We weren’t expecting much but were pleasantly surprised! The room was small but had what we needed. It was clean except for a few cobwebs on the lamb. The bed was comfy and the shower, toilet and sink worked perfectly. There also was a microwave, coffee maker and fridge. This motel is in a very quiet area, we stayed Thursday through Saturday and the first night I think we were the only ones in the place! Saturday morning we met some people who were also staying and they were very nice (People in this town are super friendly). The atmosphere is so quiet and peaceful. The only thing is that there is no service and the wifi really sucks so it was hard to get our GPS to work or to look up places to eat or other attractions to see. Come prepared or plan to go old school to get around!

NOT an RV resort by any means!!Lots of cut grass. Sites close together, not level, utilities on wrong side of camper, no shower room, outhouse or port-a-potty in camping area. That was at the Back of the hotel and locked. Check in fellow had to unlock it for us (we were only ones there, August). They were adequate, but needed a dusting/going over. Really only suited for campers 30ft & less (ours 39 ft & needed careful slow naneuvering). No 'office' sign-it's in the 'lounge'- nice bar area, tv & billiards. No clue about hotel rooms.Very close to Pa. Grand Canyon, nothing else. Approach: stay on Rt 660!! Do not go any other way, or you'll end up on STEep grade gravel roads, & a horrendous tighter than 90° turn-too tight & narrow!

Tucked away, I love to escape to this off the grid location. It’s so easy to get in touch with nature here. Always so quiet and peaceful. I’ve never had an issue. The camp store has the most wonderful lounge with a full amazing menu, great drink selections, pool tables and Music. The owner is a great guy who prides himself on cleanliness and outstanding customer service.

For value and convenience, this place is excellent. We used this as an overnight stop en route. Got to Leonard Harrison State Park to get a view of the sunset at the PA Grand Canyon. The motel is a mile from the entrance to the state park. The rooms are cozy, clean, basic, and quiet. If you are expecting something fancy, this is not the place. If you want a place that is centrally located (1 mile from Leonard Harrison State Park, and 15 minutes from the East Rim, this is a great place to go. The prices are excellent as well and the owner is very friendly.

When we walked in all the lights were off and the place is was dark. Felt like a closed bar. When we asked if they were open the grouchy man behind the bar responded with did you read the sign. Eventually the lights were turned on but did not alleviate the eerie atmosphere. We ordered food and it came out at different times, and we are fairly certain it was cooked in the microwave. Our waiter (a ten year old) told us one meal would be out in a bit, they just had to defrost the bun. All the burgers had a foul flavor and one of us got severely sick. Prices were ridiculous for what it was. Would not recommend.

Had a great time. Was taking a trip on the motorcycle with my fiancé and our sleeping arrangements fell through. Needed a place to campout at 11:00pm and they answered the call. Excellent prices. The camping area is far enough away from the motel/bar. Camping area is quiet with fire pit and close by wood. Backwoods bar at the motel was just my scene. I will definitely be back. This place is great.

Stayed for 2 nights on a Monday/Tuesday. Room was clean, owner was very accomodating. Rates are reasonable in my opinion.I was going to do some riding/sight seeing in the PA Grand Canyon and the location of this place was perfect.I'm not sure I understand some of these 1/5 reviews, this place is right in line with the area and looked nicer then a lot of other similar style places I drove by. I assume I could pay 2 or 3 times the nightly rate for something more updated but I'm not there to hang out in a room. I've been to nice/expensive resorts in the Caribbean and dealt with musty rooms, busted toilets and other issues that didn't exist here.Prepare yourself for the area....nothing is open late during the week and these hotels are keeping you out of a tent and providing a room/shower for a cheap price. I think luxury is defined a little bit differently in these areas and that's what gives it character. You hang out at your parents or grandparent's house that is straight out of 1970 and you're totally fine with it so get ready to have fun and enjoy some beautiful country while taking a step back in time in the Wellsboro area!If you sip wine with a pinky up go find a 5 star hotel for $150 a night. If you want to have a nice getaway close to some great sight seeing just give John a call and he'll set you up with a room!

If there could be a negative rating then I would give it. First, we had to book for two nights and couldn't cancel at ANY TIME, even it was a week in advance because we would be charged for the two nights anyway. Then we arrived there and the restaurant, bar and check in desk are all in ONE big room. The so called suites are in the back, up long flight of stairs and they STUNK. You walked past piles of garbage like you were in a junk yard. I could go on and on about the things I saw. Needless to say, we lost our money for the second night because we refused to stay there. I DO NOT recommend this place to anyone. It should be closed down.

Quiet and peaceful, not the hustle and bustle of many of the larger parks. John the owner is great and laid back person. Burgers at the restaurant were awsome, and of course, the beer too.
