Cabins are definitely not what is shown on the website. Our cabin was not very clean at all. Gross sticky stuff in the fridge and cobwebs and bugs in the bathroom. Not to mention the terrible musty smell in the bathroom. Location was good for hiking but won’t be staying there again.Nearby activities: Campground was close to a lot of hiking trails and lookouts

We spent $2300 for a permanent seasonal site and was not able to use the camper all summer. The site was graded in such a way that you couldn't climb into the camper, the last step was still to high off the ground. My husband is handicapped. We asked for even a partial refund and they said only if someone else would take the site. No takers apparently. So I basically spent that money to store my camper for the summer.

This was our second time staying at Canyon Country. My husband used to visit with his family as a child. Last year we stayed in the cottage in the fall and it was really nice. The place was cozy and clean. We enjoyed our stay. This summer, we weren't too impressed with the cottage, but we still enjoyed our stay. We took a drive over to Stony Fork Creek to check it out, and it seemed like that would've been a better choice for our family, being that we have little ones who would enjoy the pool and activities they have going on. It would be nice if they made some improvements at Canyon Country. I heard great things about it and how it used to be years ago. It would be sad to see it get shut down.

This place is amazing! If you really want to camp this is the place. Beautiful and secluded and near everything you could want to do.I’ll never understand why people complain on here instead of addressing concerns during their stay. We had one tiny little inconvenience and it was immediately fixed by the friendly staff. Can’t wait to go back!

Great campground! Bathrooms and showers are at a level of expectation for a campground. The game room is great! The walking distance lookout tower is great and so is the hiking trail to the PA Grand Canyon. Only suggestion would be for the office to be open for later, there were a few occurrences where we needed ice or something around 6-7p and the office was closed. Overall, we loved this campground and the location.Nearby activities: Lookout tower and Pa Grand Canyon

Arrived Sunday no one in office no office hours. Called number said to come to office Monday morning. Very limited wifi so if you are planning on any important calls or anything not the place to stay. Called said office opens at 930am staff showed at 945am no problem we all run late. Full hookup does not mean cable and if you have an antenna no channels. Said wanted to leave very misleading site was told welcome to leave but had to pay full week even though was not there 24 hours. Poor customer service. Please if you want primitive camping would be your place.

I have stayed here many times and have always had a great experience. The campground is very nice and the employees are very friendly and accommodating. Close to a lot of fun things to do but also very nice to just relax at the camp site. We love this place and would recommend to anyone!

Campground was well maintained and quiet. Staff was friendly! The bathrooms could use a little cleaning. Site M should be avoided at all costs. It sits between 2 stinky septic caps and is across from a “dumpster” which was an open trailer to collect garbage. During our stay the dumpster trailer was smashed down with a backhoe adding to the smell and flies. There was an exorbitant amount of flies due to these two things. I would stay again, but far away from this gross site.

So first of all this place sucks when I think full service I think off good internet wifi. Not service that spins and spins. So we had an antenna for our TV not able to pick up one channel. So we drove 5 hours to get there. No office hours listed. So I work for the government for va , my husband for an elevator company customer service is number one. So once explaining all this to owner of the poor service and that we were heading home. Owner said that was fine but we still owed full week, he could have rented that space to someone else. Give me a break there was like 10 people if that in campground. Couple came in to buy water in store. They did not sell. We gave couple water, food and bread they were in motor home for connecticut. Place from hell. Poor customer service

Canyon Country Campground is a must for adventurous travelers. Easily accommodating all sorts and sizes of RVs and campers with lovely sites providing full hookups. There are also very affordable spots for tenting as well as adorable cabins if that’s your preference. The bathrooms are kept clean and tidy, and there is a great indoor activity center as well as an outdoor play areas for kids. Propane is available on site to fill your tanks, and that’s a welcome convenience. Dogs are welcome and there is a pretty area to walk them through the grass. The trails through the wooded areas are great. Being so close to the Pennsylvania Grand Canyon is great, as is the proximity to the cute town of Wellsboro. Mansfield is not too far away either. I recommend visiting the city of Corning, NY which is under an hour away. The Museum of Glass is spectacular and has something for everyone, while shopping and dining in the downtown area is a lot of fun. But the real stars of Canyon Country Campground are the owner Tyler and his office manager Carrie. From your first contact with them to make reservations you’ll know you made the right choice. They run the office with precision and personality. They are extremely knowledgeable about the area, and freely make recommendations on how to make your stay even better. Very accommodating. I can’t recommend Canyon Country enough.

Decent, albeit basic, campground. The good: location and staff. Attached trail leads into state park, which was unfortunately closed for upgrades.Staff was friendly. The bad: flies. I have never seen so many of them. At first I figured it was the beginning of August and flies are expected. Then I realized the "dumpster" located about 100 yards away was actually an open dump trailer swarming with flies.I know that even a regular dumpster with a lid would have some flies, but not like this! The sister campground, same owner, has the same garbage setup.Nearby activities: Close to PA Grand Canyon

This was the most peaceful campground I have ever been to! It's a great little treasure spot. No loud groups or children running around screaming. Town was about 20 minutes away and the overlook was just down the road. The staff and owner are awesome people and they care about their campers. We had an issue with our truck and the owner was a big help in getting us out of a tight situation. The lots were big and clean and it felt like you were deep in the woods. Beautiful skies at night. Will definitely be back.

We arrived in a Class A RV. The site was great, but getting into it was a bit of a challenge. Luckily, one of the neighbors helped guide us in. Nice hike into the Canyon from the campgrounds.Nearby activities: Walking distance to the Canyon.

Such a wonderful experience! Greeted by Carrie in the office and she was the most friendly and helpful. Office was well stocked with many useful supplies and everything was very fairly priced. Campground was very well maintained. Stayed in a tent only spot and it was very spacious and comfortable. Bathrooms were also kept clean. Easy hike (a mile or so) to the PA Grand Canyon. The trail to get there is right on the campground property. Will definitely be back! Thanks for everything!

Tyler and the rest of the staff were very friendly and helpful. Accommodated is with an extra spot for some unexpected friends joining. They were also very helpful with recommending places to go and things to do. The campground itself was very well maintained and provided all the things anyone could need. Bathroom had good hot showers and clean restrooms. Everything you need to camp and some happy staff makes it a 5/5 from me and everyone that I had with.

Quick in an out for us. Did not use restroom. Did use the laundry room which was very clean and the cost was lowest I have ever gotten in a campground! Site was small but adequate for our time there. Dog friendly. Dogs controlled, and picked up after.

My husband and I and our two dogs had the best time. Campground is quiet, clean and in a convienent area surrounded by beauty. We took the hike to the east rim overlook. Amazing! All of the staff were very friendly and acommidating. We loved seeing the great danes in the office. I loved how dog friendly the park was. We had a nice corner spot and it was quite private. I do want to apolagize, the morning we were packing up my dog was antsy because we were leaving, pawed my husband's pant leg and hit the panic button on the truck still during quiet hours. Very embarrassing. We apolagized to the people we seen before we left and they were understanding. I would 100% recommend this campground and look forward to returning.

GREAT EXPERIENCE!!!Stayed here over Memorial Day weekend for 3 days. Very clean and the staff is very accommodating. In a great location, very close to the Grand Canyon for hiking, biking, kayaking and more. They have everything you need to make your stay comfortable and if you forgot something the camp store prices are reasonable. We will be coming back in the fall.

Before even getting out of our car go check in we saw a staff member screaming at a camper. The campground itself was average, however our experience with the older woman behind the desk was awful. She was very disrespectful. We reserved sites 20, 22, and 23. However, when we arrived they told us to stay in 18, 19, and 22 and told us we could park our cars in 20 as it had a huge water runoff going through the site creating giant ditches. In fine print on your reservation email it states “ *We make every effort to accommodate, but cannot guarantee, a specific site number”. This separated our spots from being together. We were confused as we did not realize they were going to move us or did they tell us they were moving us until we arrived, and did not explain what was going on at all, we also forgot about the fine print in the email until it was rudely brought up to us later. I brought my phone back to the store to show her we were suppose to be on 23 thinking they made a mistake and wanting to make sure we were not on someone else’s spot as we were tent camping and didn’t want to set everything up and then have to move. When I walked into the store with my phone she instantly rolled her eyes and made several inappropriate comments of us coming back again. She got mouthy with us saying that she was trying to keep another group together, and condescendingly asked us if we would like to break that group apart? (Meanwhile this was breaking us apart instead) we said of course not we were just trying to make sure we were in the right spots as the email confirmation showed a different number, she said “did you look at the email where it says we can move you to any spots we would like too?” I said that it was fine if we were moved and attempted to explain we were simply trying to make sure we were in the right spot and tried to confirm the spot numbers she now wanted us in, she told us whatever spots were on our car passes were the sites we needed to be on, meanwhile, this contradicted what she had previously said as she gave us a car pass for 23 (the site she didn’t want us on, and the nicest of all spots we reserved) there was another man in the store named Tyler who stood next to her smiling, not once telling her the way she was speaking to us was unprofessional. As we were leaving the store she made a very disrespectful comment about a friend that was with us, who spoke to her upon our arrival. She said “make sure your friend has someone tie his shoes for him tomorrow morning.” This was said very rudely and not at all in a playful way. She was implying he had a mental disability. As several of us work with the mentally disabled we found this comment infuriating, as well as her attitude and lack of professionalism. If we were not 4 hours from home there was no way in hell we would have stayed the weekend. There is no way we will be going back, and do not recommend staying here until that woman is no longer there.

We thoroughly enjoyed Country Canyon Campground. We had a muddy and chilly weekend, but we still had a great time. Clean bathrooms with warm showers make a world of difference when tent camping. We were also very pleased with how dog friendly the campground is. The woman working in the office was very helpful with directing us to the trail to get to the canyon and very pleasant. The only thing that we wish could have been different was that the fire wood we purchased was pretty wet. Realistically it has been a pretty rainy summer, so I still am giving 5 stars. We hope in the future they will add grill grates to the fire rings, so we don't have to haul one along.Overall, great experience and we hope to either return this fall or in the spring!

We loved it! We'll be coming back for next year's anniversary as well. Better prepared! You need a rack for your car to get down to the rail trail. Plus kayaks are a must! There's lots of great hiking right from the campground. And the view from the tower is beautiful.. The owners? ( Not really sure if they were the owners) or the folks in the office were outstanding! I would recommend this campground and this beautiful area to anyone that likes to get outdoors!

Very peaceful and natural environment! Very friendly and helpful staff . Bathroom is maintained so clean ! And when u stay at camp ground, you would feel so much relaxed and cool. Also has a convenient walking trail to Grand Canyon. The view is gorgeous there, of course! But I just need remember one thing next time before I get there: make sure the "Office manager" - Dewey gonna be there"working" in the office 😉😉😉

Nice campground, clean location, fairly quiet and very close to PA grand canyon. Staff was nice and assisted with our complaint - a broken blind in a window which they promptly fixed. Laundry facilities, common showers and bathrooms and hookups for RV's as well as camping sights for those roughing it.

GREAT place to stay! New management (2 years) and you can tell he is going to do well. Very friendly and accommodating. Great location to the Canyon area. They have had a lot of rain so there was quite a bit of mud but some gravel will help that and hey, it’s Mother Nature. Love the office manager, Dewey. We would definitely come back.

First time being back in over 10 years. Tyler and Carrie are very friendly and personable. My biggest complaint was the ancient shower, but assured me they are working on them and people not being responsible pet owners and clean up after their pets. We did not get to see much as it rained everyday, but we enjoyed our stay. Booked for next year. 🤗

Nice, well-kept campground. Stayed in a cabin with my two dogs and nephew. There was more than enough space. Fire pit, bbq grill, picnic table and chairs for sitting outdoors. The store had everything that you’d need in a pinch. Staff was very friendly and helpful. There’s a hiking trail there that leads to the PA Grand Canyon. Would definitely stay there again.
