I can't speak for all Pet Valu stores, but I can say that all of the local stores I have been to are always super friendly and kind. Their staff is knowledgeable in their products. I also love the buy x amount of bags of food and get one free!! Plus points that build up to cash off your purchases. I have 4 small dogs and this comes in very useful. The pet wash is a delight too. $10 and they provide a bottle of shampoo and conditioner, a towel, a dryer....so much and you can take your time unlike other pet washes. That being said I love my Waynesboro PA pet valu. They are great people!!

Love this place, staff is always super friendly, and always sweet to my pup! Rewards program is awesome, and they give us free samples of food and treats a lot! The dog wash is super affordable, and everything they sell is awesome quality. Please go to Pet Valu where they actually care about pets over places like PetSmart!!!!!

Made appt to have my ancient Newfoundland summer cut and bathed. Lady was fantastic. I stayed to keep my dog calm. She was cutting around the dog as opposed to having the dog stand on table for her convenience. Very knowledgeable about skin issues and how to behave around an elderly dog.

Pet Valu is awesome! If you want to get your cat or dog the best possible food and treats, look no further. You will not find any of the supermarket dog food here, only high quality food that is good for your pets and most if not all is made in North America, not China. While it is more expensive than a grocery store, it's worth it. Night and day difference between grocery store dog food and pet Valu brands. I've done a lot of research and it really is so much better and healthier for your pets and you will notice the difference in your pets and also boost their long term health and quality of life. Don't take my word for it, do the research and see for yourself. If you need assistance, the staff at every store I've been to is knowledgeable, friendly and always willing to help. I feel like they know me and my puppy personally and always look forward to a visit as does Max. Especially to the Waynesboro branch, they just love my boy and give him a treat. I still have to get him used to the baths though, lol.

I love pet value. Very friendly staff helpful too. They have two locations one in Gettysburg one in Waynesboro and both stores are nice, clean and friendly. Both located in shopping centers so plenty of parking as well...

One of my pet peeves is cleanliness, and I have to say that this store was very clean! The two young ladies working there we're very informative and seem to know everything about everything in the store and elsewhere... Lol. What I really appreciated about this visit was, those two young ladies were very personable as well as helpful in so many ways! I don't remember their names, but God bless the both of them, they were something else!Oh yeah, I almost forget to mention the products they carry. They have a huge selection of dog 🐶 and cat 🙀 food, not to mention for other pets as well, but I gotta tell ya and it's just my opinion Hmm ... 🤔 and my wife's as well, Dude their prices leave a lot to be desired! 👀

I took my dog here for the self washing and it was great. They had everything we needed and it was clean and inviting. We also purchased his favorite long toy here and they had a good selection and good prices.

For the longest time I thought this was just a pet food store...I was wrong. Everything from food and treats to toys and grooming at surprising good prices. As a smaller store they have smaller quantities so it may be worth calling ahead if it's not local especially during "kitten season"!

Customer service is great. For a smaller pet supply store, they carry a large variety of toys, food, treats, and materials. They also have a pet shampoo station and a pet groomer.

Really nice to have a decent little pet store in Waynesboro - a little pricey, but very convenient. However - the sign on the door noting that face masks are required to enter the store needs to be taken down, as it is just a charade. Watched a customer wearing no mask walk in ahead of me, shop and stand around the counter in an extended conversation without regard to the safety of anyone around her. I understand that this is selfish behavior that happens anywhere and is hard for the staff to control, but that is not my main concern. One of the three staff on duty and directly interacting with other team members and customers did not even PRETEND to wear a mask, there wasn't even one hanging around her neck. So if you are concerned about personal safety and minimizing community spread of COVID-19 - this is not the business for you.

I would like to leave a better review, but after my visit I just cannot. Yes, there is a great variety here of food, toys, etc. for your pets. Staff seems to be friendly. However, there are clearly issues with animals being neglected. The cat that was in the cage had feces matted in her fur around her rear. Poor thing smelled awful. What stood out most though, was the fish. I have my own aquarium at home, and I know some may say they're "just fish," but they do not deserve to suffer. The water the bettas were in was absolutely filthy. Every betta except for maybe one had fin rot/body rot due to the unclean conditions of the water. The bubblers which provide the fish with their oxygen were also not on or for that matter even in the containers. Bubblers are very important in a bettas tank. Wish I could have bought them all and given them a decent home. Hoping this store fixes the problem as there is no excuse for this.

I really like this little pet store. I've been in a few times and have been pleasantly surprised by what they have in stock and the friendly staff. Will definitely continue to stop in for our pet supplies.

I called to ask if they carried a certain brand of hamster food. They did, but an employee went to check to make sure they had it and pulled two bags from the shelf for me. All I had to do was go to the register and pay when I arrived.

I went in looking for guinea pig things, maybe my second time being in there. The associates were all gathered at the counter and when I asked where something was I got a look like I was bothering their conversation. And then one takes me to the small animal section and says this is all we got and walked away. Then I was walking around to see what all they had, and a lady then asked me if there was something I needed help looking for. I said no thanks and left, dont think I'll be back.
