We've stayed many times here and it has become our go-to campground. Love the cabins and the people are always sweet and accommodating. Having busy lives, it's nice to have a place to go to relax and reset in the beautiful mountains. Hoping to book another trip soon!!🤗

We loved our little cabin, air-conditioning was on when we got there, it was clean and easy access. We stayed in the fawn cabin, the only drawback was that the fire pit was uphill from the cabin next to it and the folks in that cabin were in a fishbowl. They hung sheets over the windows.. It was quiet and the deer came right up to us while we were sitting at the fire.

So much fun! A few recent low reviews I think lose the concept of being in the middle of nowhere in Lycoming county. If you expect the Ritz version of a small cabin you're doing it wrong. The staff was beyond friendly and accommodating. There is so much to do around the area. My 41' fifth wheel pulled in fine. Full 50amp hookup. The waste pipe wasn't threaded at my site but I've got adapters. They even let me borrow boards to level (don't ever skip the check list!!) side to side.My mom's cabin had an issue that were fixed almost immediately. I only saw the inside of two cabins but they were all places I'd stay.I'll go back for sure. Even if just for the carpet ball.

We went for a long weekend in our Class C RV and were supposed to have a drive-through site. This place clearly caters to their cabins, and permanent and seasonal folks. Our site was severely unlevel with ruts. One end of the site was so eroded away and I could not drive through without risking damage. The septic hookup at the site was a distance from the electric/water and I had to wait til I disconnected everything and pull forward before I could dump. I would liked to have used their restrooms instead but they were disgusting. Every stall looked like a bomb went off. CableTV was nonexistent and you had to go the building near the office if you wanted Wi-Fi. There were three other sites near us with travel trailers that arrived the same day. All had similar issues. One had a septic hookup that was a higher elevation than there camper. The only plus was that it was quiet. Our T-Mobile service was good here. The restaurant and ice cream were also good.

Stayed in a cabin at the beginning of the month - had an awesome experience! Cabin was super clean, had everything in the kitchen I needed. Staff was friendly and helpful. Campground was nice to walk around. Right in the middle of the mountains!

ROOMS FULL OF RAT POISON. Please don't stay here. My family and I took a weekend trip to Happy Acres with our two dogs and toddler. After spending three days there, we were cleaning up to leave and realized that rat poison had been thrown around the entire cabin. We immediately rushed out of there to take our dogs to an emergency pet hospital. We emailed the office to let them know and ask for a refund and for them to cover the hospital bill for our pets. The owner was extremely rude and accused us of trying to get a free vacation and offered us a few nights free stay. No weekend trip is worth risking the lives of your pets and children. *Photos showing the poison thrown around the cabin and a pet sign showing that it is pet friendly

Happy Acres Campground is Amazing..I was very impressed on how well maintained this campground is. Very Clean the cabins are beautiful. Very family oriented. The Manager is amazing she tries her best to accommodate your every need. The owners are amazing as well and very caring. The bathrooms are spotless the campground is spotless as well as they work very hard to keep everyone happy. The views are absolutely beautiful. There is so much to do. I have never seen a campground that cares so much as everyone at Happy Acres. When I go I never want to leave. Everyone is so nice and very friendly. I found my happy place. They even drive around to make sure everyone is good and always have smiles on there faces as they wave. They deserve more then 5 stars.Cynthia Gindhart

We have stayed at Happy Acres 3 times. This time in the squirrel's nest. We loved it for the most part but the only bad thing about it is the bathroom is so small it's hard to maneuver in it. It's impossible to maneuver in the shower. They should change the sink and make it square as the oblong shape makes it nearly impossible to do what you need to do if you know what I mean. Anyway we loved the rooms, the location and the jacuzzi. The bed was comfortable. We did enjoy our stay. I'd probably pick a different cabin next time because of the bathroom.

Have camped here many times for trout season to fish little pine state park . Been put on sites that I had to dig a trench on one side to get my 30' trailer on level. The wi fi is non existent , one time the sewer hook up was on the wrong side up hill . I liked it cause it was dog friendly . But this year because of extreme weather event coming on Friday into the week end we canceled , they kept the money . To me this is theft by no service rendered .

Two couples for 4 nights at Hill Top cabin in mid-October 2021. We really enjoyed our accommodations and stay. Beautiful place, good food at the restaurant, delicious ice cream (within walking distance is a plus), nice people and all was as promised. If you're light sensitive at night don't take the master bedroom (queen-size bed) because street light outside the bedroom light shines through the white blind. We left a suggestion they consider a black-out blind for just that room. We hope to go back with others, maybe to see the wild flowers blooming next spring!

This resort was very highly recommended and we were a bit disappointed. The bathrooms and shower areas were not cleaned during our whole stay. We staying in an area with lots of campers and cabins so the restrooms didn’t seem to be used heavily but the same bathrooms were missing toilet paper and the same trash was around the trash cans on the floor our whole stay. Three of the five women’s showers weren’t working and no one warned us that they were pay showers- $.25 for 3 minutes. The resort seemed to have gotten some rain in the days before we got there but the sites were VERY muddy and washed out. The restaurant (which also came very highly recommended) was also a bit disappointing. Food quality was good but they were understaffed and we waited a very long time for service and then our check. The location of everything was great as far as locations to bike and hike but the resort overall was a bit disappointing. We would go back to the area, not sure we would stay at the same campground unfortunately.

I was extremely disappointed with the room we got. We had paid to stay in the Mountains Den for one night. From the pictures, the room looked nice. When we arrived, it had a very strong musty odor. It was very dirty, like it hadn’t been cleaned in months. The outside was dirty and had green mold on the patio furniture that was caked on. We were so disgusted that we walked right out and luckily were able to get a campsite at Little Pine campground. We stayed at Happy Acres two years ago in a different room and it was nice. I don’t know what happened with this room but it was a dump and a complete waste of money. Very disappointed

We stayed 4 nights in the Hummingbird cabin. Was clean and tidy. Good water pressurein the shower and lots of hot water. I wish they'd let us know they provided pillows and quilts; would have saved us valuable space in the car. Staff at the restaurant were very friendly but short staffed. The food was excellent. The pool was nice (and cold!) and clean. Terrible cell service. Overall, a very cute place to relax .

This stay was a little challenging. My husband and children went for 4 days of tent camping. No where on the website does it say there is no cell service and you have to pay 25 cents for 3 minutes of water to shower. I completely understand paying for using water, but it would have been nice to know in advance. My family was supposed to arrive at a certain time, after 3 hours of not hearing from them I was quite concerned - but it was the cell issues. Location is nice, tent camping area is nice, but probably wont stay again.

Wonderful setting, we had a cabin up at the top so just woods behind. Saw deer and bears! Lots of great walks but strenuous, bring good boots! (cabins are a bit shabby but you dont expect luxury in a campsite)

We've only been in cabins, and they have been relatively good! Pretty clean, and furnishings are good all things considered. I have been in nicer cabins, but good value for cost. Owners are flexible and good to work with. Good amenities especially for kids! Wifi is very in and out, could be alot better. Overall, this is a nice campground..

Stayed here 3 times in the past year and a half , also go to an island we own down the road. We stay here in the winter and have not had any issues, not to mention everyone is extremely helpful and they are friendly. It's a beautiful location and the cabins have always been clean and well stocked. The restaurant had great food for the one time we stopped by. The burger was nice and juicy while nachos for an appetizer were delicious as well. I like how the river runs down the side of the lot.

Our stay at Happy Acres Resort, Dec., 2021 was very bad. Our 3 bed room cabin, had a kitchen, with 3 coffee cups.. The utensil drawer was full of bread crumbs and other food particulars. The living room was very dirty., lots of dirt under the sofa. The sofa and chairs were so dirty, I laid sheets on sofa to sit on it. These were the same chairs and sofa that were there 3 years ago, bad than. Should have been trashed. The bed had plastic covers over the mattress, these were so old and stiff, you could not tuck your sheets in, TERRIBLE! ..Just a reminder, check your room before moving in. Lighting in cabin very bad. There was a cigarette bucket on front porch, with over 50 + butts in it, never dumped, no one cared. Was my last stay at "Unhappy Acres"Maybe the owner should take a few minutes and check his resort rooms out.

My boyfriend and I rented a camper for a weekend and had problems from the beginning. We walked in and it smelled weird and then noticed that the septic backed up in the shower stall! We went down to the office and DJ (John) came up to fix it. We had to call him again when the stove wouldn’t work and it turned out no one turned on the gas before our arrival. DJ fixed it but we weren’t able to get the oven to work the next day. There was also a sign on the microwave that said “Do not run the AC at the same time as microwave!” We got up in the morning to make coffee and found a dirty coffee filter in the coffee maker. We went to to do dishes and there was no hot water. It was another trip to the office and DJ arrived in 5 mins to fix it but the water was boiling hot out of the tap and I ended up burning my hand. My boyfriend later discovered that the water heater had no automatic shut off and was not temperature regulated. The toilet backed up and my boyfriend fixed it himself, rather than going back down to the office. The campground was crowded and cramped together but we spent most of our time in the state park across the street. This place is getting 2 stars for location and DJ coming up so quickly to help us out with issues but most could’ve been avoided with having things ready for our arrival and a proper cleaning. We weren’t so happy at Happy Acres and won’t be back. Save your money and rent out a spot at the state park! Better, cleaner accommodations at half the price!

We had a nice little getaway to the resort. Stayed in the Mountain View Cabin for 3 nights. Kids had a great time. Cabin had a leak, sheet for couch (for dogs) was not clean big clumps of dog hair on it, happy store worker wouldn't open game barn even though the sign says the barn is open if the store is open -kids were disappointed! Store clerk seemed annoyed to be there/too lazy to open the door and plug in some video games. Post-covid they are having trouble with staffing. Restaurant and check-in resort employees were very friendly. Pool was small but very clean and clear. Playground was well maintained. Resort is old and needs some love, but it was a fun place to stay. I would definitely return.

The squirrels next cabin was very nice. Could have been cleaned a little better. The resort itself was beautiful with nice spacing between spots (plus there weren't many people there while we stayed since the season was over) and the state park across the street had awesome trails to hike. We will definitely be going back and will highly recommend this to our friends and family!

We didn't end up staying due to our carrier lacking service in the area. However the staff was super helpful with attempting to suit our needs and the entire campground looked like a wonderful, clean place to stay. We toured one cabin while there and were very impressed with what they had to offer. We hope to one day return without the business needs and make some awesome memories here with our family. Thanks for the warm welcome, see ya'll again sometime soon!

We had a good time as a family camping but we probably won't be back. We stayed on Mountain Circle and we had no space at all. The seasonal camper on the one side was right up against our site and they had their slides out making it impossible for us to open our awning fully.Pros: Fun playground. Great Pool. Close to Big Pine for kayaking. Nice beach area at Little pine State Park.Cons: SMALLEST SITES I'VE EVER HAD TO DEAL WITH. Advertised to have wifi but even at the wifi Cafe, it barely worked. 5mph speed limit is not enforced at all. The Happy Acres Restaurant had good food but horribly over priced. A large pizza, an appetizer, and 3 kids meals cost us $80!And another piece of advice, Don't expect anything that you get wet to dry. It's not the resort's fault it's just literally in the middle of the mountains and wooded. I know the people beside us were complaining that none of their beach towels were drying but where the resort is at it comes with the territory.

My family recently rented the happy acres lodge at this resort. I just wanted to share that we had an excellent time! Also I was nervous after reading other reviews that there would be No cell connection (due to no service) and predownloaded a ton of movies on our devices for the kids only to find out our lodge did have WIFI! what an awesome surprise!! With wifi calling capabilities on our cell phones we didn't have to disconnect! This lodge had 4 bedrooms downstairs and 2 bedrooms upstairs with a game loft and 2 bathrooms. We will definitely be back in season when the pool is open (Happy acres lodge itself is right next to the pool) also right down the hill (not even half mile-easy walk from this cabin) is a bar/restaurant and game room for kids and the playground/basketball hoop is a small walk up the hill from this house (again not even a half mile) . Everyone was so kind to waving and smiling!! not to mention there is a state park/game lands with ample fishing less than a mile from the grounds (which is what brought us to the area to begin with) lots of access to great stocked water.

Rented 3 cabins for a family vacation. 1st cabin had soft spots under the vinyl flooring. Had to put plywood over the hole at the entrance to walk in the cabin. Furniture was very old and most of it was broken. Refrigerator door would not close unless you pressed pretty hard. The screened in porch was great. 2nd cabin smelled moldy and triggered asthma so they had to sleep in another cabin. 3rd cabin had a picture that fell off the wall and cut open my nieces forehead. Staff didn’t seem to care about the customers. Cabins were very clean.

Everything was good up until the 2 night. The ac stopped working. So I went up to my room I think I stayed in the ron cabin where it had 6 beds and 2 baths and it was hot the 2 night bc the ac stopped working so I opend a window in the room, I had pulled down the screen and when I did so many bugs live and dead fell down the most disturbing thing ever I had to kill 2 mosquitoes and the other window has tons of bugs in it

I stayed two nights at hummingbird cabin. The water pressure and temperature is quite good. The gas pot leaks a little bit. Remember bring hair dryer and shampoo. I don't like plastic mattress cover. The wifi and cable is not working.

This was a very nice campground. The cabin we stayed in was very nice and would totally come and stay at again. The only complaint we had about the cabin was the lack of AC in the back bedroom in our cabin. Outside of that everything was very nice. The only other complaint we had was about the fact that this place is in the middle of nowhere. Which is very nice but sucked if you need anything.
