Haven’t been here for years and now I remember why. Bought gobs for $12. They were way too sweet. The middle icing tasted like store bought(over sweetened). Bought 2 elephant ears for $6. I love these at other places. Couldn’t wait to taste the crunchy flaky ears. So disappointed! No flavor, not crispy! All you could taste was oil. Even the paper doily was covered with grease. Blonde older lady at deli and ice cream seemed so annoyed at me asking questions, couldn’t crack a smile or say thank you. Only reason I gave food 2 stars was the fact that the few deli items were edible.

Had one of the best buffet style breakfasts in a long time ! Service was very friendly and quick and food was delicious. They have a great selection and even better sausage gravy. This is a wonderful place to stop in and relax while enjoying country views and even some entertainment provided by the free range chickens. The store inside is very cool they have a nice bakery and deli and fresh pasta salads. Will definitely be back in with friends!

There was lot's of baked goods to choose from. They had a nice selection of cheese. The pre-made salads and coleslaw did not look too fresh or appealing. Most food items did not have price tags. It's hard to decide if you would like to purchase something if you don't know what it cost. I did purchase some cheese, a few different breads, cookies and chocolate milk. The snickerdoole cookies looked great but ended up being stale, a loaf of what I can only guess was whole grain bread because it was in a unmarked clear plastic bag was very soft and delicious. I got some sort of Flatbread with vegetables and cheese, again was not marked but looked good, it was awful! When I got it home and unwrapped it to eat, the bottom was so wet and soggy that I tossed it in the garbage. The milk and cheese tasted pretty good. It would be difficult to shop here if you have allergies or are on a budget. It's expensive and don't find that out until everything is rung up.

This is a landmark in 84. The food is very good, the ice cream is a delight, the milk is so very good. I buy two gallons very week and because of the rewards program I’ll get free milk about every 6 weeks. They sell seasonal veggies and fruit and delicious pantry items. The kids will adore this place. Lots of room for the kids to roam if you’re passing through and need to stretch your legs. I just wish they’d call me back for an interview! I’d love to have this as a side gig.**Edited per some other comments- the food here is Pennsylvania home cooking- do not expect gourmet food. The food is what you would expect from farmers in Pennsylvania.Kid-friendliness: Live animals, tractors, huge slide. Ice cream!!!!!

Agree with other reviews about this place being a bit overpriced. We got pie scrap cookies for $10 and while this is not outrageously expensive of course , it was not worth it for 6 cookies that taste not better than what you get in any grocery store for $6!I found the decoration of the place super cool with very nice staff. Easy parking and many food options ( while not many baked good options at least when we got there ).

Was really excited about going here ...was extremely bummed though. While the atmosphere is great, and about half of the staff were pleasant. The food was NOT worth it and was VERY expensive. Two chicken tender meals that was better at Chick-fil-A, and two 'gas station' iced teas was $34! Go for the experience, but eat before you go!

Dried out baked fish with way to much seasoning, mushy broccoli casserole, fried fish not nearly as good as the grocery store. Second time eating there in the last six months which was dinner and the same dissatisfaction with the food and I’m not picky really. I am definitely done eating there, sorry to say for I support small family owned businesses. Good bakery items.

It was advertised as a buffet. Since when is a buffet all different prices with no refill’s. I definitely would not of want anyways. Pot roast was cold and dry, mashed potatoes cold, chicken cold and hard, like it had been there for hours. Stuffed cabbage was all sour cabbage and cold. Pasta salad was warm. This place was horrible. First time there and will NEVER go back. Left plates on table and walked out after paying $44 for 2 horrible meals Buffet foods are to be kept a certain temp and potatoe salad and pasta salad has a certain temp to be kept at. Would DEFINITELY NOT RECOMMEND TO ANYONE !!!Such a waste of money. The sad part was my boyfriend took me there for dinner and we paid, left the horrible food on the table and left

This was a fun visit with the kids. The ice cream was delicious and from what I'm told is made right here on site. Out back there is plenty of room for the kids to run and play. The wife and I sat back in some over sized chairs and just enjoyed the moment.I would definitely recommend The Spring House Country Market for a quick evening getaway. If this review was helpful, please click the LIKE button.

The Springhouse Country Market in 84 PA is a great place for great country food and is a really great time.We most recently went for the Saturday morning brunch. $9.95 per person gets you all you can eat of biscuits and gravy, eggs, bacon, sausage, cheesy hash browns, and corn fritters. That's the hot stuff that is served to you as you make your way through the line. The next table had fruit salad, cinnamon sticky buns, yogurt and homemade granola. There is also homemade bread and raisin bread with what tasted like fresh churned butter. Each and every one of these items were fantastic, hands down. My least favorite was probably the sausage gravy. It's more of a country gravy with sausage in it. It was tasty, but I personally prefer Bob Evans. But I digress... My favorite item was the homemade raisin bread. It tasted like the bread my grandma used to make. I went back for 3 more slices. Of course with the amazing butter. The bacon was crispy and the eggs were cooked very well. Even the coffee was smooth and great to drink. The staff was friendly and helpful, checking to make sure everything was to our liking. When I mentioned that my wife really liked the coffee, the woman actually went back to the kitchen and showed us the giant bag of coffee they use so that we could look it up online (they sold coffee by the bag, but not that brand). The dining area was long but a smidge narrow, but still enough room for comfortable dining. It was clean and comfortable. All in all, I would definitely give the Springhouse 5 stars. I strongly recommend that you give it a try!!

Unassuming, and located immediately off of 136, The SpringHouse warmly brings together several of the things I hold most dear: faith, family, and good food. From the outstanding, friendly service, to the atmospheric piano playing some of my most favorite Gospel hymns, I found it all that I could do to keep from tearing up. In an age when the family unit is mocked and faith is discarded, this establishment truly brought me out of the cold Pennsylvania winter and reminded me that God's design is wonderful; it is good; and His kingdom is advancing. So, as I ate my generous helping of Penn State chicken and green beans, I found myself overwhelmed with childhood memories growing up in Harrisburg. I'm reminded of how good it is to be part of a family. The atmosphere they have created brought near the reminder that at all times "whether eating or drinking or whatever we are doing, let us do it all to the glory of God!"To the folks at The SpringHouse, I thank you for your faithfulness and for reminding me how deep is the Father's love for us.May God be with you till we meet again!

Would've been 5 stars 🌟 however it's really expensive. The food is amazingly good & I'd love to eat here more often but I can't afford it. Lunch for 1 person $20. I had parmesan crusted chicken with mac & cheese, broccoli casserole, a bun, & a bottle of iced tea. The iced tea tasted like the powder mix.I also like the atmosphere. The flowers 💐 are beautiful

I drive a about 35 minutes each time I visit. They have delicious baked goods. This year we did the thanksgiving dinner package and it was delicious and nicely packaged and they brought it out and loaded it in the car.

Really enjoyed the fall festivities and the food was excellent. Prices were great for all that is included. Great variety of pumpkins to choose from in the patch and of Plenty of activities and games for kids of all ages; the giant hay bales with tube slides were the favorite along with the giant corn maze. We stayed for dinner and had a kid's chicken tender meal (2 tenders with 2 generously portioned sides), the chicken and gravy over biscuits with pittsburgh cheesy potatoes and broccoli casserole and a pulled pork sandwich. All of the food was fantastic. We followed with ice cream for dessert, fresh, creamy and very flavorful. The staff were all very polite, attentive and efficient.Parking: Partially paved parking lot, the rest is grass.Kid-friendliness: Lots of kids activities and Kids food options.

The Springhouse is simply one of the best farm-to-table experiences in the region. And the icing on the cake: their food is absolutely phenomenal. It’s served buffet style and mostly comfort food. The flavors, portion size, and pricing are all excellent. On the other side of the shop, the deli and baked goods are always a hit. And of course, the diary is super fresh, the real deal, and from their cows and chickens.Stepping into Springhouse is like stepping back in time, in absolutely the best way possible. They get nostalgia right and it’s a wonderful family experience.

Make the trip! Plentiful choices of homemade food, jellies, breads, rolls, maple frosted cinnamon rolls, cakes, cookies, cheeses, deli meats, salads, side dishes. Also home decor and gifts. It's a restaurant inside a country market and it's worth the drive! Plenty of casual indoor and outdoor seating, huge parking lot, great service. very nice atmosphere. They have a daily buffet featuring homemade foods such as pork chops, stuffed chicken breast, baked beans, stuffed shells, burgers, stuffed green peppers, potatoes, casseroles, salads, desserts - just to name a few! They also do made to order deli sandwiches. I had a turkey with swiss on rye and the turkey was lean oven roasted real turkey breast - about 1/2 lb of it on my sandwich! It was just the fresh taste I was hoping for with horseradish sauce and pickles on the side. I also had the Snickerdoodle Cake which tasted as good as it looked with layers of cream cheese frosting and cinnamon/sugar topping. Everything at the Spring House Country Market tastes like home cooking and just like you hope it will taste! The recipes, the quality and preparation are amazing bringing back flavors of old that you've been missing!

$12 for 5 cookie. If they were actually good it would have been fine paying a $2.50 a cookie but the taste is not there. The frosting made it worse for me but the frosting is why the cookie was so expensive. The apple crumble pie on the other end. WARMED. Amazing

4/5 Star Rating simply because of the pricing. $20 a pie is ridiculous. I would pay $20 a pie if I saw these coming out of Grandma’s brick oven itself, but that is not the case and these folks profiting from “small town farm life” while operating at industrial market rates to produce these pies should be treating local, loyal consumers with stronger, more reasonableprices for their products. It’s not rocket science that peoplesimply can not afford a product likethis sustainably and perhaps we are shifting far away from sugar as a primary commodity for American consumption, but all in all, I couldn’t stop thinking about this as I was biting into delicious, $20 Pie.What is an affordable home made pieprice? $10-15 - Enjoy what you can, when you can, and if you can’t, do it yourself.

Cute country store with lots of activities. Love the outdoor park benches, climbing and playing areas for kids. Great way to burn off all that sugar!
