Stopped by for the Balloon POP. It's like a mini Cabelas, i guess. It's not a bad place to go. Just the ammo cost a lil more. Great spot to pick up camping gear or any outdoor product that tickles your fancy! Thanks for having us.

There are few employees.No one to ask questions.What happened to Sportsman's hiring people that knew what they were selling.The store is a far cry from what was around years ago.The employees I did interact with were nice people.

Awesome place for any hunting, fishing, camping, etc supplies! Decent pricing. Very similar to Cabelas on a smaller scale.

Went here today, stood at the counter in the gun section for over 20 minutes while people ignored me. Weird, because i assumed it was your job to SELL to customers?Too bad, your loss, I was waiting to purchase a firearm. I got peeved & walked away. Told my wife, and she put down the items she had ready to purchase as well, and we left wothout spending any money there. Don't intend to come back.Things like this is why I like going to my local FFL anyway. I walk in, they know me, and THEY ACKNOWLEDGE & SPEAK TO ME. They actually want my business. BE BETTER.

They haven’t been selling hunting licenses for at least 2 weeks because they’ve been locked out of the system. They are telling customers their printer is down. Extremely poor customer service and attitude.

Great selection of gear, and especially knives, which I am addicted to collecting! Overall, they have a great selection of stuff, very friendly staff, and everything is easy to find in the store. And if you can't find something, someone on the staff is more than willing to assist you.If you can't find what you're looking for here, then usually NO other place has it either. I do most of my knife shopping here and at Dick's and Walmart, but Field and Stream is by far my favorite because of their huge selection and fair prices!

Prices are a little high. Website says in stock and you drive out there and its not there. I have a credit card from them and you go to use it and it says its no good call customer service a m d they have no clue.

Went in for 2 Xmas gifts. Both rang up higher than price on display. Caught one for $10, but missed the $3 increase on the second item.Won't shop there again!!!

The spot for weapon accessories. A nice selection of new and used weapons, but, in 2023, used prices don't scream "take me home today".Weapons on the wall are too far to read price caliber name and description. Staff is generally helpful.Edit: July 2023. Today there were some real gems in the used case priced fairly. Renewal of my hunting license was lightning fast.

They didn't have the crossbow I wanted but the guy working in the archery department was very friendly and we must have chatted for over 20 minutes about hunting and trail camera use etc. That's the kind of folks that keep customers coming back, especially hunters, when you don't have what customers want in stock. I definitely recommend this store.

Good deals, but the guy behind the counter never heard of "Tru Oil." I mean, I am only 43, this guy was older. I just thought at a "sportsmans" store the gun counter clerks would know about tru oil. I felt like I was in "The Twilight Zone" when a second gun counter attendant said he had never heard of Tru Oil, either.I am otherwise super happy with the service, and my purchase of a Remington 700 ADL 30.06. I bought an old wood stock on eBay for $40 and with the help of Tru Oil (which I borrowed from a friend), am making a nice refinished stock ... and a "REAL" rifle minus the iron sights.

A nice sporting goods shop, plenty of selection. I think Monday mornings must be slow for the staff. A young lady helped me look for a wallet, and when I did not see anything that interested me,she helped me look for shoes and magnets.

Verify any gun parts before you buy. (Thanks to the reply below for reinforcing my warming) I was told by the manager that they will not accept returns or exchanges. Even if the part I bought was bad. Enjoy the $124.00 you got from me, it will be the last I ever spend there.

Past the attractive front facade, the store itself is clean and well-kept, with lots of room to move around and a fairly intuitive layout. It carries a good selection of product, including many things in-stock that I have not seen in other stores in the area, and the friendliness level of the staff is fairly high.However, the knowledge level of the staff is very hit-or-miss; one person I asked about camp stove fuel was very helpful and showed me exactly what I needed, while another person at the knife counter couldn't tell the difference between a blade and a stick. I do recommend shopping here for anything outdoors-related, but make sure you do your research BEFOREHAND and know what you want, or at least be prepared to do said research on your phone before purchasing.As a side note, they are very dog-friendly, so don't hesitate to bring your (leashed and well-behaved) pup here.

got chased by male workers from the second we walked in then had one older male chase me with a plastic container accusing me of stealing a knife. That’s when I opened my purse and asked if he wanted to search it and he walk away, that’s when the chaser apologized while I left.

This place is terrible for guns. The man at the counter named Kelly had a terrible attitude and was rude, he also didn’t finger check or rack the slide back a couple more times before handing someone a gun that’s terrible gun safety and is going to end up getting someone killed. I will never come back here and I’ll take my business to somewhere that’s knowledgeable about guns like cabelas or ace sporting goods.

So happy this place is so close to me. They have a great fishing section and the outdoor cooking supplies area are always well stocked and right next to each other which is tops for somebody like me. Way better than driving to Cabelas in Wheeling.

It's an alright store but hard to get anyone to help you there. That's my only complaint with the place. Many stores like that are under staffed and in that case its hard to blame the employees.

I like the store, it's great and when there isn't a nationwide shortage, they have it. But today, for the second time in the firearms area, the customer service is something else. My wife and I stood in line while a rep was taking car of a customer at the register back in firearms. He knew we were there and when the other customers were done, he actually started to walk away until I held up merchandise. He asked, is that all, I said yes, he said take it up front, it'll be easier. Which was busy so I said that and asked if he was able to and he did. I wanted to ask him who it was easier on since him and I knew the actual answer to it. I'll come back, but I now know what areas not to ask for help.
