Cool place. Good food. When I think of a speak easy, I don’t think of a place like this. This is more of a motel with a restaurant. The bar is cool and they have plenty of seating. The location has high ceilings and outdoor seating, when the weather cooperates. Otherwise, they close in the outdoor area for colder weather.A wide variety of menu items…as well as a decent cocktail menu.I’d recommend this place for a get together with family or friends…or even a change of pace for a date night. The speakeasy style grilled wings are excellent. Not saucy but a lot of flavor.Nearby activities: Stillwater fishing or boating right down the road

Don't get me wrong I love dog's I just Don't think Dog's belong at the bar! I was trying to enjoy my anniversary meal with my husband of 28years. I understand if it was a service dog but I know it was not! It even was on the bar and there were people eating at the end of the bar. Otherwise the food was great. The waitress was really nice and we had no problems.

Just recently help our class reunion at the Speakeasy. Wow did they go above and beyond to accommodate us, even with a tropical storm hammering the area with wind and rain all weekend long. Hailey (our server) took exceptional care of us all night long - like seriously top notch! Food was fantastic and drinks came out perfect from the bartenders. Thanks again, Speakeasy!

Sorry. They blew their chance with our first visit. We arrived for our 7 o’clock reservation for 10 at the best table by the fire. Before we could sit another guest chased us down and told us to not sit there. Long story short the restaurant double booked. The only one to apologize was a young hostess which she did profusely. We were literally removed from the table even though, in the end, it was clear that the table was rightly ours. After the walk of shame back to the lobby, watching group after group enter the dining room with reservations after ours, and waiting for 45 minutes for an official explanation or apology or offer of any discount from management we just had to leave. The real issue here was not their mistake but their rude behavior towards us. Ps we made the reservations several days before we arrived01-12-2024 update. Another failed attempt to eat here. Not enough staff. Back room with fireplace was promised to us to make up for the above review a few years back. It was dark, cold , and the fire wasn't even lit so we "saw the writing on the wall" this time and left before we sat in the cold for a long time waiting for any food to come out of the understaffed kitchen. The one server was friendly but we didn't want to risk it again.

Don’t let the entrance fool you. What looks like the office of a string of motel rooms on either side is actually the entrance to one of the best restaurants around. Before your meal you are given a small loaf of hot homemade bread with a garlic oil dipping sauce. Incredible bread, enough for me to go in the first place but I love the Filet Mignon. A good sized portion that melts in your mouth and always seems to be perfectly cooked. The starter salads are always good, the balsamic vinaigrette tastes homemade and is the perfect addition to greens. One of my favorite places to go if I’m in need for a good steak dinner.

We had a 5pm reservation for Mother's Day so it was extremely busy and we knew that wait times would be longer. What we were not expecting was having to send back two glasses because they were dirty, a lack of silverware, an hour and a half wait time for salad, and a "less than enthusiastic waitress". We asked for silverware and new glasses twice in a 45 minute time period and were greeted with the waitress rolling her eyes and talking bad about us because of wanting to drink water. The food was sub par for all but one member of our group who couldn't even eat his prime rib after a two hour wait, but this was taken off of the bill. Overall we were sporadic customers who live locally and we will not be back.

Our first time there. Beer and garlic steamer clams were excellent! Nice menu with a little bit of everything from regular bar food to top end steaks and seafood. Beautiful dining room with lots of room plus nice enclosed outdoor areas. Nice leaf peeping ride in the fall.

I've been a infrequent patron of the restaurant since the opening, usually stopping in a couple times per season. I've always left full and satisfied with my dinner decision. They've built a permanent pavilion to extend the dining room capacity. The bar in the main dining room fits 10 seats comfortably. In my recent visit, unfortunately the ruben was off the menu but I'm guessing it's all supply chain issues. I went to dinner around 6:30 and it was pretty busy in the main dining room and the staff was still attentive. I didnt have to wait for a beer refill. They were doing a good job for the resources at hand.I had the rib eye sandwich which was delicious, I just wish it was a little bit thicker of a cut.

We have eaten there many times. Food is good . So is the ambiance .Service needs help. I understand good help is hard to come by. I was in the service industry for 38 years and I know that reputation is paramount. I don't expect waitresses in dresses or waiters in tuxedo but a dress code would be nice, it always look like they grabbed someone off the street to help. Prices everywhere are getting crazy. I think if it looks like you stepped up your game it would help with the perception of higher quality without a lot of expense. It's nice to see the staff dressed in kind. And trained to serve. When servers just plop your food down without any acknowledgment and run, It makes me feel unappreciated as a customer. My wife and I have been there many , many times and the owner has to at least have recognized us but never at least says HI. I have always tried to make repeat customers feel like family, cuz they kind of are, bread and butter for business!

We didn't stay at resort as we live locally. We had dinner in the Speakeasy Saloon/Restaurant. Delicious is an understatement. The portions are very big so bring your appetite when you visit. For 3 of us our bill was a little over $114 which included appetizers, salads, warm bread/butter/garlic oil, main course, desert and 2 drinks each. Appetizers were Crab Stuffed Mushrooms, Little Neck Clams in an Old Bay Seasoning, and Soup of the Day. The salads were a perfect size leaving room for our Entrees which were Prime Rib MR, Clams with White Sauce over Linguini, and Breaded Shrimp Parmesan over Linguini. We all shared a big slice of their Rainbow Cake. We ended up taking a lot of food home because we couldn't finish our main course. The service was on point as usual. Definitely a 5 star food experience. Reservations are recommended as they get very busy especially during the 6/7 o'clock times.

Spent a very nice lunch here right before the holidays. Our waitress was very welcoming and pleasant. The food was very good over all. The french onion soup was just right. Had a burger and it was tasty and cooked right. The menu has many options for even the most picky eater. Will be back.

Every time we had driven by The SpeakEasy Saloon & Resort while we are up at the lake house, we say how much we want to stop by for dinner and last fall we FINALLY dropped in and I am so sorry that we didn’t stop by sooner! The dining area was beautiful and has large windows that allows for a stunning view of the woods outside. The food was delicious and well presented and the staff was friendly and welcoming. This restaurant and hotel is conveniently located near some of NEPA’s best hiking and riding trails, the Speakeasy is the perfect spot to grab a nice meal or book a room to spend the night. We have eaten at the Speakeasy numerous times since then and have never been disappointed in the food or service. It has quickly become a must visit stop during our trips to the lake house.

We only ordered wings...they were ok.. the service was a huge turn off. When we ordered drinks, the waitress wasn't sure what they did or did not have...so it wasn't clear as to what we actually got because she dropped them and quickly left. When ordering wings...it was the same conversation..."I'm pretty sure we don't have that, but we might have the other one...im not sure what we have or not". Not a great first experience for us. I have heard really good things about this place. Maybe we just went on an off day.... I won't be to anxious to give it a second chance...if at all.
