Thank you Niki, grooming isn’t Donut’s favorite but he needed a quick trim. He’s been very itchy from allergies and the recent pesticides sprayed on our grass. They cleaned up his underbelly, cut in-between the paws, and he was super fluffy when I picked him up!

Incomplete GroomingGood points:1. Was able to get an appointment within two weeks. All other grooming salons that I contacted (that I know is definitely good) is booked out at least 6-8 weeks.2. Dogs are not kenneled. I appreciate that my dog gets to walk around after the grooming to work off the post-grooming energy.3. Grooming cost is average for the area. Paid $85 before taxes, for a double-coated, 65-pound dog.Bad points:1. Groomer left before I got there (got back to the grooming salon within 10 minutes of being notified that my dog's grooming was done), so I wasn't able to have the groomer clean-up the missed areas.2. Groomer did not clean-up around the ears, paws, and leg fringes. My dog has no issues with people touching his ears or paws, so unclear why these areas were not done. As I live 30 minutes from this grooming salon, I did not bother driving him back to the salon on another workday, to have him cleaned-up, so I did it myself with my grooming set.3. Spoke with the salon manager (and not the groomer) about the type of grooming/haircut that I wanted for my dog. The salon manager took brief notes (only fit on one line of a 5x7 note card that had basic info about my dog as well). When I got him back, it wasn't exactly the haircut that I wanted.

Glad I found this place, after bad experiences with Petsmart & Petco. She is professional, and did a great job with my Husky! Which anyone will tell you aren't easiest dogs to groom. Would definitely recommend her

Alisa was wonderful. this is my first small breed dog and he is just 16 weeks old. she fixed a botched up cut from another salon and was amazing to deal with. very accommodating and pays attention to detail. we have a groomer for life!❤️

Today was the first professional grooming we have brought our dog, Marty (Bernese Mountain Dog), to. He was VERY nervous and VERY difficult for the groomer, as he has such bad anxiety in new places and experiences. The groomer was so patient with him and took the time to do the whole job SO well despite his challenges. I am so happy we found this place! If you know the Bernese breed, you know how much fur they have and how much they SHED… constantly… Marty came out as a new man - so shiny, soft, and all his loose hair gone! We are so incredibly happy with the work the groomer did and will definitely be back again (If she’ll have him LOL). Also, shout out to the gentlemen working at the front (I believe his name is John?) he was so nice, explained everything to us, and was so pleasant to talk to on the phone the couple times I called to check in on Marty. Thank you all so so much for caring for our pup so well!

I took my dog here after having bad experiences at petsmart. It’s very hard to find good groomers in this area. The younger lady who groomed my dog did a great job and was super nice. Everything is included which is good! The only reason I give 3 stars is that when I offered to give them proof of vaccines and vet history they said they didn’t need it. I came with his full record. I personally don’t feel comfortable with continuing to bring my dog here and letting him run loose for 5-6 hours (no crating here) with other dogs that may not even be vaccinated or have yearly vet check ups for kennel cough and other health concerns. I really like how they don’t crate as my dog is usually at the groomer for 5-6 hours but I don’t feel comfortable without vaccine requirements. I did also see another review about dogs getting kicked for peeing in there, I did not have that experience but I do know my dog was there for 6 hours so I’m sure they all just have to go at that point. Every place I’ve ever been to required vaccine documentation so it was a bit odd.

I was hoping for the price they charge a better service my dog smells very bad she didn’t come with that smell before I went there and the hair there are parts where they even didn’t cut or shave, I am very disappointed.

Finding the right dog groomer is never easy—but Alisa is so professional and experienced. She does a wonderful job with both my ALD (Australian LabraDoodle) and with my SPO (Standard POodle). Alisa has the right temperament to get along with both dogs and people. I’m so thankful we found her!

Not a whole lot good to say about our experience here. Our dog who is a poodle mix and has had only positive grooming experience was very scared much of the time we were there. We also question whether or not they require vaccinations for the dogs as they say they do, as we had never been asked for ours (even though they let all the dogs roam without anyone dedicated to watching them). We were willing to let all this go, but on the drive home we noticed the cuts he had on his chest in the picture attached. I read another review about someone kicking the dog, and I honestly wish I had read that before we let our dog go there.

My first visit there with our 7 year old Siberian Husky was the best experience! We had been going to Pets Mart for years, and every time I would pick her up she would be limping and traumatized. When I dropped her off she walked right in and greeted the other dogs like it was a play date, and when I picked her up she was socializing, she didn’t even know I was there! She was beautifully groomed. Thank you so much for taking care of our Princess!

I google searched the area for a groomer that was not a big box store and found Heartland. Alisa answered the phone and walked me through what they do at the salon since we have never had a pet groomed. I was thrilled that their schedule had availability within the week and that the animals were not penned unless necessary. Arlo is a Great Pyr mix and I needed help with combing him out- Alisa and her team did a wonderful job and kept me posted throughout the day on his status. When I picked him up he was absolutely handsome! I have since recommended their services to my family and friends and will be coming back; thank you!

Took my 9 year old pure breed Golden Retriever there today for the first time. He has only had sanitation cuts and minor trims in the past. He is getting older, hair is a more challenging and every other day river swimming is simply taking its toll. So we went for his first ever summer cut! I was so nervous! He was not. :) They did a spectacular job and I am so very pleased. He looks like a fuzzy puppy and I know that I will be better able to care for him with his summer cut! :) He will be healthier for it this summer!

Alisa is honestly the best. I have a cocker and she is very unhappy with bathing and also with clippers! But. Alisa is exceptionally patient and skilled, and I always leave knowing my dog is in kind hands. My cutie always comes out looking amazing and with a bounce in her step!

Heartland Pet Salon is outstanding! I have two large dogs and took them there to get “the works” - shampoo, de-furmination, teeth, nails, ears, everything - and both my dogs came out shining, beautiful and soft. And the price was affordable as I’m a senior with limited funds. I give them my most heartfelt endorsement.

We moved to the area about a year ago with our elderly Havanese and we were nervous about finding a new groomer who would be sensitive to his aging condition - hearing and sight impairment and mild anxiety. We couldn’t be happier with Alisa and her caring and professional grooming service. Our pup just turned 16 and I hope he and Heartland have many more happy grooming years together.

Alisa has always done a great job cutting our little guy's hair. With the subtleties and nuances of his coat and being so low to the ground, she does an amazing job. She’s friendly both to us and him. We I highly recommend her. We wouldn’t trust anyone else to groom him.

I'm not going to lie- I'm feeling very torn writing this review, so let me start with the positives, because there are plenty!Booking was EASY and they could get my (already over-due for a grooming) pup in the same week! They did a great job on my 90 pound Bernedoodle in just a few hours, and our pre-tip total was only $100!! I loved the efficiency of a quick text when he was ready, and they man their own texts (not a robot), so I could ask questions and send in pictures of what we wanted. Although the encourage cash, payment and tip could both be done with a credit card. Overall, we were very happy with the results, so I do want to be clear that the negatives in the next part were all based on my own worry, not an actual issue that arose... just one that could have in the environment.Honestly, I was very uneasy leaving him with them, and I had never felt that way a groomer before. When I arrived, a man who I believed to be her son checked us in. He needed some help from her remembering some of the questions to ask me and with the process, but I didn't mind that. I didn't love that he needed no proof of Rabies vaccine (even when offered) and just took my word for it- I'll explain why this bothered me in a moment. After we discussed what kind of cut we were looking for and finished check in, he took the leash from me and opened the gate to the grooming area where several other dogs already were (I will say, generally I do like that the dogs aren't locked up in cages for hours waiting their turn). As dogs, they all rushed the gate to meet the new guy. My dog is VERY friendly and loves other dogs, but not once was I even asked if he was friendly/ good with other dogs/ if there would be any issue placing him in a stressful environment surrounded by other dogs. He was reluctant to go in (strange for him), but she reassured me that he just didn't want to go because I was still there, so I left. On the drive home I nearly turned around to go get him several times- what if one of the dogs there isn't happy to be surrounded by stranger pups and snaps at my dog? Can this woman and her son handle breaking up a dog fight of 2-5 dogs including larger dogs? Were none of the other owners asked to show proof of rabies vax or if their dogs were friendly? What concerned me about leaving him there was the potential threat to his safety. Again, nothing actually happened, but it easily could have and I didn't see anything while I was there that indicated that they were prepared for that. Dogs are dogs, and you just never know.I hate leaving even somewhat negative reviews, but when I was looking for a new groomer I would have liked to be aware. If this environment doesn't bother you, go check them out! Like I said, she did a great job and you really can't beat that price for a doodle groom!

I took my 3 beloved pets here on Friday for their grooming and the owner Lisa, kicked my dog that was lifting his leg up to pee. My dogs previously went to The Dog House for grooming but Rich has since merged his business with heartland pet salon. I’m angry and disappointed and I will never take my pet or allow anyone that I know, to take their pet there either. If she kicked my dog right in front of me, I can only imagine what she does when the owners aren’t around. I’m glad I witnessed this abuse with my own eyes. NEVER AGAIN!! Dog parents BEWARE!! Took our little fluff there for a groom. They did a wonderful job with our now tidy fluff who looks oh so handsome. Staff was wonderful and very knowledgeable. Best of all was all the happy customers hanging out before and after their appointments. Really says a lot when all the dogs are happy to be there.

My dogs were very comfortable & at ease from the beginning which says a lot. Knowing they are in loving hands is most important. They look beautiful each time they are groomed. Absolutely perfect from head to tail ❤️Highly recommend Heartland.
