This store opened recently in the area in thorndale area closer to Lincoln Highway, closer to Domino's Pizza. The store has a huge parking lot, not greatly lit but okay. They have carts to grab as you enter the store, and then you will see the fruits and vegetables section.they have a decent amount of fruit but limited veggies. The prices of the fruits are reasonable. The store is well maintained, and the ambiance is great. The staff is constantly checking and restocking each and every aisle. The store is very clean and nicely maintained. I also shopped for diary products, and they have a good selection and organic options, too. The checkout counters are easy to get out. The staff is friendly and very assisting the customers.

Clean, well stocked. Aldi's has some good prices on name brands, like I want to say they had Rao's pasta sauce for $3.99 or less - it's usually $6.50 to $8.00. you have to find their little niches; pizza, coffee creamer, desserts, etc. and then buy other stuff at your regular store. (Let's see what Aldi's does for this new cover photo they're getting for free 🙂😉🤫)

Great stores to save lots of money but not the best selection. If you're looking for band brand stuff that hit it miss and if they do have a name brand it'll only be one or maybe two items.Their pet selection also isn't great so we still have to go to Giant for things like cat and dog food. Also the shampoo, soap, and body wash selection is also very minimal and we usually have to go to another store for those things.Overall this store seems clean and organized well enough to find what you need easily. The lack of selection is a small sacrifice to save so much money.

Prices are decent, but it would be hard to do ALL of your shopping there. It's smaller than a typical grocery store, so selection isn't as large. But they have unique products, which always make it worth a stop!

I simply Love AlDI's. Quality food at low prices. Clean stores, with clean restrooms. Fast checkout with a person, or self. Eco-friendly to boot! The question becomes..Why shop anywhere else?

This is my go-to grocery store now. They may not have a wide selection, but it’s usually everything I need. I love that there’s plenty of self check out! I’ve never had to wait in line! Just don’t forget your bags and a quarter 😜

Store has surprisingly wide variety of items and good prices. Brands are not common in most US grocery stores. Good service and generally quick checkout.

This just in! Aldi has finally invaded Thorndale! For years, I've been a loyal Aldi patron. I've been a longtime customer since the 90s when Aldi was hardly a household name. Back when their loaves of bread were $0.63/loaf. Aldi has been in our lives for over 30 years, and we're glad to see they're even closer to home.Aldi in Thorndale is part of a revival for the shopping center. Once used exclusively as a Big Kmart, the property remained unused for many years until the Lomax flooring company repurposed the property. Among the many town meetings, many proposed businesses were suggested and Aldi determined to be one of the finalists. For newcomers to Aldi, you bag your own groceries, you pay (and get back) a quarter to use the ultra smooth handling shopping carts and with the latest installation, have the opportunity to self checkout. No matter how long the line, the skilled cashiers can check you out very rapidly. The food is amazing and quality is on par with national brands. While we have encountered some products that are not as good as we expect (it's fun to try new foods!) you can simply talk with the staff for a refund. They are not kidding when they have the double satisfaction guarantee. If you don't like it, they'll refund your money, and give you a replacement. The Thorndale location we exceptionally busy when we visited on opening day. The infamous "Aldi Finds" (Aka: Aldi aisle of shame) had plenty of limited time offers and products. Every Wednesday, new items in the are stocked so if you see it there, get it whole you can!My last visit was on day 0, May 3rd, 2023. The official ribbon cutting ceremony was today, 5/4/23.Because this is the former Kmart, the layout was Identical to the Malvern, or Lehighton Aldi, with more spacing between aisles. While large, the quantity of traditional registers is minimal, and one would expect the self checkout area to be scaled to the size of the building. (it is not). There seemed to be more frozen food refrigerators, and the Aldi finds aisles seem as big as other locations. The bagging area is significantly smaller, and I didn't see any difference in products. We are very excited to see Aldi in our town!

They did not have tonic water which was my reason for shopping. However, I found some terrific fresh seafood (tilapia) as well as a good variety of cheeses, fresh pork chops, chicken and even cornish hens!

Aldi's is a discount grocery store with no grills. It has all of the departments that one would find in any supermarket; produce, meat, dairy, etc, but with a limited selection. The environment itself is very unpleasant; dingy, cluttered, and disorganized. The prices are roughly 12

Store very neat and organized, Restrooms in back of store, Carts $0.25, reusable bags for sale, 2 self checkout lanes, nice selection and variety for a small grocery store 😊 2/6/24

We just bought land near this Aldi and were looking for good places to buy groceries when we are out there. No Aldi store is better than any other. They are good.

I don't get this place. You have to PAY for a cart only to find they don't have what you want like 7-up. The prices aren't that great and then you have to check yourself out. Who would want to shop here.

New store is super clean, roomy and easy to shop. Like all Aldi stores, the way it is set is the same in all stores, so shopping is quick. As a celiac, I wish there were more gluten free options, but overall pleased with what they do have and the prices of course are much better than other local stores.

Great place for grocery bargains. Know your prices cause not everything is a deal. If they have it... buy it. Good chance it won't be there when you return next time. Aldi house brand pizzas and strombolis are excellent especially the larger sized ones. Bring your own bags!

I really like Aldi, clean stores, helpful employees, and good prices. The one thing that gets me is when they run out of ad items on the first day of the ad and then have no similar replacement items or rainchecks.

This isn't my regular Aldi, however it's set up pretty much the same way. I absolutely love this store. People can go to the big name stores all they want, Aldi has the same products as the other stores, just at waaaaay more reasonable prices. I'll never go back.

They’ll keep denying you when you apply for a job there. They only want certain people they deem worthy. My sons applied for a part time job there. Both denied. A few older friends applied. Denied. Take down the dang postings if you aren’t going to hire anyone. People need jobs. Stop being so dang selfish.

Excellent prices. The best & cheapest ready-made pizzas ever. Only downside is selection. They don't always have in stock what I need.

We hate going to the Aldi in Coatesville, so we were very excited to hear that one was opening in Thorndale! We stopped by today to do our grocery shopping. We were a little disappointed at the fact the store was not fully stocked; however, they have just opened, so we brushed that aside. The fruit and veggie section wasn’t the best, so we would still go to the Coatesville Aldi for that, but otherwise, great store! Spacious, clean, and roomy.
